If you need a quick meal while you wait for your flight at MSP, this is a good place. Not terribly special, but solid American fare. I had a good turkey burger upgraded with avocado and smoked Gouda cheese. The fries were above average and the Stone sauce was a nice condiment. Great wine and beer selection as well. read more

Salmon Cesar salad is my safety food. Lemme explain. I travel a LOT for work. My quick, airport safety meal when I don't have much time and need something fast is a cesar salad with salmon. To keep myself occupied on layovers, I review this dish. And here we go... I sat at the small, round bar (vs the gigantor bar in the middle of their space) and the bartender was quick to take my drink and food order. I got my iced tea super fast and enjoyed people watching while I waited for my salad. The young woman next to me (loudly) ordered a Bloody Mary and was (loudly) delighted when it arrived with a chicken wing and a large cube of cheese speared on top of the drink. To be fair, we were all loudly excited about that chicken wing. Talk about a surprise & delight moment. Will definitely try that if I come through again during brunch. My salmon cesar salad arrived after a short wait (because go-to fast order FTW!). I give it a 6.5 out of 10. The filet was hot, but the skin was not lightly crisped on the outside like the best ones are. It was very moist though and simply seasoned in a pleasant way. It was served on a bed of standard issue mixed greens, heavy on the green leaf lettuce with some iceberg and red leaf lettuce mixed in. It had a pleasing crunch and the lettuce was cut into bite size pieces (always appreciated). The croutons were bagged and unremarkable. I wager the dressing was not house made either. Also, that iced tea was basic. A good handful of herbs while brewing would be a great improvement. All in all, great customer service at the bar, a very clean restaurant and an unoffensive meal. Would happily return for that Bloody Mary! read more

Better than average airport restaurant. Cool setting with growlers from local breweries lining one wall. Went there for breakfast and had an egg sandwich, which was very good with quality bacon and spicy sauce in the sandwich, served with perfectly done hash browns. We also had the bagel with Salmon lox, which was just ok primarily because the salmon was pretty fishy and no capers to be found. Still, a decent place to eat. read more

Face it: airport food stinks (usually). This was not the case when we had breakfast at the airport before our long flight. I had the Classic Benny, my partner the Stone ArchBreakfast Plate with grilled Spam. Both were delicious. This review is for the location inside the Minneapolis airport. With that being said, I didn't really expect a spectacular meal, but I thought it'd be a little better than it was. My friend and I ordered the cheese curds as an appetizer. They weren't bad at all, you could taste/feel the grease, but between it being cheese and fried, one would have to expect that right? The dipping sauce was BBQ, nothing impressive. For my main course, I ordered the fish sandwich in an attempt to be a little healthier, but holy saltiness! I was only able to eat to half of the sandwich because of how incredibly salty it was! Not too mention the bottom bread piece was soggy, I'm not sure what from though. You can see this in the picture. The coleslaw that came as a side wasn't too bad though. If it had a little more tang it'd be great. My friend ordered a burger, can't remember which kind. It was served in a cute, little, round pan which sat on top of a black piece of slate with some fries....fancy. The fries didn't look too desirable, saturated with oil, and apparently the burger wasn't great either. If I'm ever back in the Minneapolis airport, I'm going to try somewhere else. The only reason I am giving 3 stars opposed to 2 is due to the customer service we received and the cheese curds. read more

My husband and I tried to do our best looking around MSP for our best food option and decided on Stone Arch as our selection this morning for breakfast before our flight to PDX. We really liked the look of the place and the menus out front had a good few options already in our heads of what we'd like to eat. We sat down at a small table for two, it was sanitized and had a card on the table sitting so (also, it's pick your own seat style) many of the other tables were not sanitized yet and had been covered with dishes still. Their menu was a tiny card that you scan with your phone camera to view. Our waitress came up promptly and asked for our drink orders, I ordered a Mimosa and my husband had the Bloody Mary. Our drinks arrived about 10 minutes later and our waitress set them down in a hurry and rushed away. Side note: I have worked in this industry, I do understand there can be rushes at times, but then saw her casually talking and laughing with a coworker at the bar. We did not feel important whatsoever. Our waitress was seen around other tables and attending to them, but would skip over us multiple times (even after my husband tried to get her attention). It took a minimum of 15 minutes for her to finally make her way to our table and apologized for the wait on our food, but we hadn't in fact even ordered yet. I honestly wanted to get up and leave at that point and have something quick, but my husband really was craving his meal, so we stayed. He ordered the Biscuits and Gravy with an egg added on, and I had the Breakfast Burrito dish. We end up waiting another good while for our food to be cooked, but we finally are served it. My dish looked delicious with hashbrowns on the side, and it was pretty good. My husband's Biscuits and Gravy unfortunately were not as enjoyable to him, and they forgot altogether about his egg added on. The chef apologized to us and asked how he would like the egg cooked and got right on it. He was able to prepare it in time for my husband to finish before we needed to pay and head to our gate. Overall review, the idea of their sanitation protocol is a good one, I wouldn't say perfectly executed however. We both mutually agreed unfortunately this restaurant had the worst customer service by our waitress, the chef made it a bit redeeming which is what establishes my star rating today, along with the food quality. Thanks for reading this book of a review! read more

Stone Arch was the perfect place for breakfast before catching a flight. Service was great! We weren't rushed, but if people were in a hurry they worked to accommodate them. Drinks were good and reasonably priced (for an airport). The craft beer list was awesome and has a little something for everyone. I love that they feature local breweries. They offered other mixed drinks as well and had beers in bottles and cans. The food was also good. I had the Spam sandwich which was amazing. The English muffin was really fresh and the Spam was nice and crispy and perfectly cooked. My hashbrowns were really bland and burnt so I wasn't a big fan of the side, but the main dish was worthy of another visit. read more

I have never ever been inclined to write a review for an airport restaurant. Didn't even know such things existed. But all that changed during a short layover at the St Paul-Minneapolis airport while awaiting our connecting flight back home to Las Vegas (5/29/22), my wife and I had a delicious and more than satisfying lunch at Stone Arch. We shared an appetizer of grilled chicken wings and each had a chef salad. The salad was one of the best I've ever had and the wings were absolutely the best wings I've ever enjoyed. They were so good I even joked to our server Samantha that I'd love to book a flight to MSP during the NFL football season just to experience watching a football game (the Vikings of course, even though I'm a Las Vegas Raider fan) at their great bar. I'd have myself more than one order of wings along with some ice-cold beer. Except, I wasn't really kidding. Fly in Saturday, see bit of of the 'ten-thousand-lake' state and spend Sunday at Stone Arch and walk over to a Delta gate and reluctantly return home late Sunday night. That's how good the wings and the restaurant is. And making that layover-lunch even better was our server Samantha. She was the perfect Minnesota ambassador at the perfect time. She had such a wonderful demeanor, sense of humor and appropriate sense of urgency when it was mentioned we were a bit rushed because we had our connecting flight to catch. Of course, the one time I would have welcomed a departure delay it didn't happen. Thanks Samantha. Thank-you Stone Arch. It was a wonderful airport made better by both of you. Great service despite being constantly busy in an airport, a rep from Gull Dam brewing dropped off a few free beer samples (hooray!) but I didn't have time for a full meal before boarding. Instead, I opted for a beer and order of cheese curds, which oddly came with ketchup. Curds were pretty greasy (duh?) but good cheese and the pilsner was poured promptly which made it worth the quick stop between checkpoint and gate. read more

This airport restaurant enticed me with its juicy Lucy on the menu. Unfortunately not amount of juice was going to soften up the stale roll it was served on. Also. The food is good at the Stone Arch, but the service was terrible on this visit. It was "seat yourself," so I took a table. Since I've eaten there before, I knew what I wanted. The server brusquely asked me what I wanted to drink. I told her water was fine. She came back a few minutes later, slammed the glass of water (without ice) down on the table and walked away. I assumed she was mad, because I didn't order a beer. I do not drink alcohol and prefer water with my meal. She came back a few minutes later to take my order. When she brought the food, the presentation was very nice. I got the turkey burger and fries. As in the past, it was a very good meal. What surprised me was that the server never offered me a refill on my water. When I was done with my meal, she just put the bill on the table without even asking me if I wanted anything else. It was clear she wanted me out of there as soon as possible. I have never felt so unwelcome in a restaurant. After this experience, I will definitely think twice about going back to the Stone Arch. read more

Came in with a four hour wait for my next flight at noon on the 4th of July. The waitress, Suzie, seated me instantly, and within one minute came back to ask if I had any questions. My drink appeared less than two minutes after I ordered it, which was a pleasant surprise; I'm used to settling in for ten minutes before anything appears. My fried pickles also came within five minutes of ordering, and they were fresh and hot. So, for the reviews that say service is slow, I say look around! If it's busy, expect to have something take a little more time. On the food: the pickles were large and cut the long way and the batter was crispy and delicious! They were crisp, not soggy. Best fried pickles I've ever had. I ordered their version of a long island and it was tart and cirtusy - definitely worth the $12 - which is also a very good price for an airport! read more

I have stopped and ate here a couple time before. This time, not so much. Ordered my food well done, it came out almost raw. The fries were old and not worth eating. The server didn't stop unless I flagged her down. She didn't refill drinks until I asked her to at then end. The one saving grace is they comp'd the burger. I bellied up to the bar at Stone Arch in MSP airport for some breakfast before an early flight. The bartender, Mona, was fantastic. She made a point of remembered every customer's name, was fast, friendly, efficient, and super accommodating. I had the egg breakfast sandwich. Mona made a few suggestions to kick it up a notch, including adding avocado o the sandwich, cheese and caramelized onions to the hash browns. My oh my was it delicious! The bacon was thick cut, perfectly done, and full of flavor. The eggs came easy over and the yolks immediately burst to give it that sinful, finger-licking, yummy gooey mess (that's why napkins and handiwipes were invented!). On the outside, the hash browns were a delicate crispy golden brown, while inside was all soft buttery goodness. Did I mention the caramelized onions? Yum!! read more

Travel all over the world. One of the best simple meals I've ever had at an airport. Hands down. No joke. Justin our server (red curly hair and a beard) was just fantastic, quick, remembered the extra dip and knife we asked for. Checked on us without being overbearing. Refilled waters without us having to ask. Total bill was under $25 for the fried cheese curds (that were simple and fantastic, greasy....but fresh and great). My husband convinced me to get the Juice Lucy.....medium. We shared it. I prefer well done burgers, which i don't eat often. But we got it medium, this is the first time I haven't regretted a burger in a long time. This burger was fantastic, juicy without being gross, cooked well, cheesy; without being too cheesy. It was just what we needed. The fries look like basic fries, but damn are they perfect. Homemade, not overly greasy, a bit crunchy but still potato-e and creamy on the inside. You don't need dip with the burgers and fries... That's how simple and delicious they are. Seriously, go here. Eat here. They have a big drink selection if you like alcohol too. Our flight got delayed 5 hours so after walking the entire airport, we were thirsty and hungry. It was only 9 am at this point but since I was up at 4 it seemed like lunch time. They were just serving breakfast unfortunately. My husband and I split the two eggs, hash browns, and bacon. It was good. The bacon was great. They had a pretty extensive beer and drink list. The beers were from local breweries which, even though im from the area, I thought was neat for people not from around here. The server was quick and when I said no worries, we had all the time in the world, she was happy because she said most people would tell her they have a plane to catch. She does realize that.
