He is very friendly, knowledgeable and responsive. Over the past couple of years, we have been renovating a multi-family home in Dorchester, and Mark has been especially helpful in working with our contractor on quotes, making product recommendations and setting up delivery to Boston at a very reasonable cost. When we needed to order replacement windows and sliding glass doors, Mark referred us to his colleague, Tom, who specializes in these products. Tom quickly got back to us with a quote, placed our order and set-up delivery. When one of the door handles arrived damaged from the factory, he immediately ordered a replacement from the manufacturer. Mark has helped us keep this big project on track with his prompt follow-up and great communication with our contractor. I highly recommend Chace Building Supply. Not only does it feel good to support a local business, the quality of their products and customer service can't be beat. As a bonus, a knowledgeable person answers the phone when you call, without a tedious phone tree!

We were looking to replace a very old wooden privacy fence, much of which had fallen down in recent…read moreyears. We are in Boston where the houses are close together, and our yard has a significant slope in the back. We got estimates from several companies and we went with Durable Fence because they were very competitive and the on-line reviews were excellent. The work turned out to be a challenge because our neighbor believed we were building the fence on her property (which we were not - it was a foot behind the property line surveyed by her surveyor). The first day of construction started out with our neighbor screaming at us (including at Felipe and his crew), and at the end of that day, we received a cease-and-desist order from our neighbor's lawyer. It was only after 9 months of back and forth with lawyers that we could resume the construction. Felipe and his team did a spectacular job with the fence under tense conditions. If we hadn't had the trouble with the neighbor, I would still give Durable Fence 5 stars because the construction was outstanding. The fence is very sturdy and absolutely beautiful, the cleanup was superb, and they were very careful with our shrubs and bushes along the fence line. Felipe was a total professional throughout the process, and was unbelievably patient with a situation that took so long to resolve. I can imagine that other fencing companies would not have been so patient. I'm so glad I went with Durable Fence - I would give them 6 stars if I could!

I always wanted a marble dinning table. However, the limited selection online from Wayfair, Bob's…read moreFurniture, Home Depot, etc., gave me a second thought about owning one due to their crazy high prices. Also, I wasn't sure about their quality because what you see is exactly the opposite of what you're getting. That left me wondering where could I get a slab of Quartz stone to place over my battle damaged wooden dinning table. Luckily, my wife's friend recommended Stone Design Pro Inc., in Weymouth a place that I also recommended by a friend of mine who used to work there. They have any type of natural or man made stones you could possibly think of. Their showroom is very tidy just as you would expect similar to Jordan's. The price is fair. They came twice. First to measure our fireplace. Second to do the installment. So, without further ado, I placed a 40x72 1.25" thick for the dinning table and also asked them to provide me a quote for the fireplace. And here are the final products. Couldn't be happier. P.s. They finished glueing everything cut chop chop in less than 2 hrs! Also bravo to Chu Loi who helped us leveled the ground for fireplace. Initially, it was tilted. So he layered another another piece on top another but you can see the craftsmanship of cutting the stone at an angle. I'm a happy customer.
