Unfinished Work, Poor Craftsmanship, and a False Lien Threat…read more I hired Ybarra Professional Builders to complete work in my home, including renovating the upstairs bathroom. While the project was technically completed, the quality was completely unacceptable. The bathroom sink leaks, and the grout in both the shower and floor is already coming up. I brought in licensed professionals to inspect the issues, and they confirmed the floor was improperly installed and the sink was not installed correctly either. Despite these clear defects, the company has refused to return and fix the problems. To make matters worse, I just received a Notice of Intent to File a Mechanic's Lien claiming I owe them $16,016.00--which is outrageous and completely false. They included charges for services they never performed, such as: Cabinet resurfacing (they did nothing to my kitchen cabinets) Interior painting (they partially painted my living room, which I already paid for--and even that was incomplete) I've kept all of my receipts and documented what was paid. I paid for the bathroom remodel, but it was done poorly and without accountability. There is absolutely no way they did $16,000 worth of work in my home. This feels like a scare tactic to get paid for work they didn't do or didn't do correctly. I would not recommend this company to anyone. They do not stand behind their work, and now I'm dealing with legal threats for charges that are clearly inflated and inaccurate. If you're considering using them--think twice and document everything. This experience has been stressful, costly, and incredibly disappointing.

Ybarra Professional Builders is a company that subcontracts jobs to multiple individuals without…read moretaking any responsibility for those jobs. I was approached by Ethan who was charismatic, personable and seemed to care about the project I was interested in. I wanted pavers on my driveway and a new concrete patio. Everything seemed to go well, perhaps taking a little longer than expected (but that was ok). The trouble started when the work was done. The ground settled and a tiny crack formed in the concrete. I contacted them in April to discuss the crack and puddling on the paver driveway. We got no response until May. Ethan finally said he would send someone to look at it. They came and within a couple of weeks two workers were here to fix the problems. Unfortunately, they made a bigger mess and eye sore than the original damage. I texted Ethan again with pictures of the "corrected" work and has since not heard from him or any representative from the Ybarra Professionals. I am very frustrated and disappointed that this happened. The only reason I am writing a public review is with the hope that Ybarra Professionals respond to my many calls and text messages.

He worked with our budget and went above and beyond. His team was also very kind and accommodating to our requests throughout the renovation. He beat all the other quotes I received. His team built my parents quality hand made cabinets and they added small touches. The work completely changed and modernized the kitchen. Some of the things he did was replace the dated cabinets, replaced fluorescent tube lights with can lighting, installed a garbage disposal, electrical outlets, under light cabinet lighting, quartz counters, and removed portions of the all that wasted space. I highly recommend Edwin and his team for any renovation needs you may have.

My honest review of this "business" should you choose to call it that is as follows…read more  First and foremost this "business" does not reside at the address it claims to. The address listed is not only my personal residence but also one that the owner of this "business", Greg Hall, is not allowed within 200 yards of due to domestic violence. A judge ordered him to vacate the premises over a year ago. So it would be a little difficult to handle business from that distance and with those restrictions.  With that being said and also to keep things honest. Greg Hall used to reside at the address above and did do some "work", if you can call it that, allow me to share the highlights: leaky second hand skylight taken from a previous job, added archways to kitchen that also leak, ill fitted reused kitchen sink from a previous remodel for another client, unfinished framing around oven, a "gazebo" made from old rotted doors torn from previous demolition jobs, and his prized possession, a home made urinal crafted from double stacking two regular bathroom sinks. This is just a short list of some of the dozens of well documented "upgrades" he did to our home. Keep in mind that these "upgrades"  were done while he lived at this address. If this is the care and lack of respect he took in "renovating" his own home then what kind of quality can you really expect for a home that he does NOT live in. When it comes to remodeling your home or business I would do yourself a favor and save yourself the headache and take your job to a more reliable, responsible, honest contractor.

We were at a party at a friend's house and loved his kitchen, so we asked him about it and he referred us to Marvelous Home Makeovers. During the building phase, we had the same crew the whole time who were friendly and took pains not to leave a mess. We had frequent communications with the owner and the construction team so we always knew exactly where the project stood. The final work really is gorgeous. I have referred Marvelous Home Makeovers to a few other people, and I know from one who used him that he also loved Marvelous Home Makeover's work.

They made our house look beautiful, and in the process mentioned several improvements that were inexpensive and well worth the cost. They even rebuilt an old rotten deck and stairs and fixed shoddy work from a previous contractor that we'd had done. Now, not only is our home beautiful, but it's better insulated and sealed. We couldn't be happier with the end results. Oh, and Jessie's wife is an awesome cook! I've had Chicharrones before and never really cared for them, but Jessie shared some of her cooking for the crew and these changed this boy's mind on Chicharrones!!! The project took 4 1/2 weeks from the day they started the kitchen demo. Note in the before photos that we had fur downs & square recessed lights both of which they removed giving us taller upper cabinets & adjustable brightness LED canned lights. We also had them replaced the square lights in our living room & swap the floodlights in our family room's canned lights for the same adjustable LEDs. The general contractor did a really great job of managing the project & has several great subs that he has worked with long term (cabinets, countertops, & tile/backsplash) for work that his own staff doesn't focus on (1/2 of whom are his family). Very high quality work with an attention to detail including bringing any issues to our attention so that they can be addressed (e.g., leaking faucet in the laundry room). Very reasonable pricing & they were agreeable to us adding on extra things like replacing the switches & outlets outside of the kitchen area with the same square modern ones that were put in our "new" kitchen. We are also having them paint the paneling in our family room as a separate project that they will do this week. We will absolutely call them first for any future projects.
