However it's very comfortable with regard to the room. The bath is a bit off as it's a tub shower and climbing in and out can be tricky. The overall hotel is quiet and comfortable. The staff is friendly and welcoming and accommodating. The restaurant is quite nice and Chris is an excellent host Elvis at the front desk is quite helpful and the manager is awesome as well. This UK chain is all across the country and I highly recommend it.

The dinner food was more like pub fare but it was very good. Everything was very clean and the beds were pretty comfortable, there were even extra pillows available.

Walk up the stairs from the train platform, walk back down on the other side, walk through half a parking lot and you are there. I made a wrong turn, and walked 2 miles to the other Holiday Inn...not the right one. The other great thing that since you are close to the train station, you can hop on the train to Windsor. You will need to hop the train to Windsor, because there isn't a restaurant in site of this place. Windsor is the touristy side, however, if you get there late, like I did, only the grocery store is open- Waitrose. But other restaurants and shopping are there and Windsor castle. The Windsor train only goes to Windsor and Slough and back; no other places. Also icky: at the time, no Wifi. No joke. No wifi. I only had my phone with me, and couldn't get the internet... I can't remember if they had Ethernet for your laptop, but I am thinking no. Double-check on that. Room was clean and modern. This place is fairly new. Shower only. Bed- a little hard. Service was good. Took a taxi to Heathrow, as you would have to take a train all the way back to London and then down to airport. No other transportation. Good: Room newer. Adorable little boutique hotel diagonal from Windsor castle on High Street. My main complaint is…read morethere is no gym in the hotel. There is a gym that guests can use for a small fee that is 3 minutes away but it doesn't open until 8 or 9am depending on the day. That is too late for me since I was going to work early every day. The rooms are tiny with a double bed. I had a view of the rooftop next door. The mattress was pretty firm and the bed had 4 pillows one of which was a feather. The bathroom had a nice shower with one of those rain shower heads and the water got really hot. The shower door was one of those half doors that doesn't close. That seems a bit weird but it worked. The bathroom has a towel warmer but mine was not working which was unfortunate. It also got a bit stuffy in my room at night luckily the window was able to open a little bit, enough for fresh air! There are coffee pods, and tea in the room. I love that they give you the Walkers biscuits in your room. They are so good and there were many flavors that they replenished every day. Also they gave you water in your mini fridge. My co worker was not happy that there was no lotion or conditioner in the bathroom. She asked for lotion at the front desk but then had to buy some conditioner. I always bring mine so it wasn't a big deal for me. My reservation came with a buffet breakfast in the restaurant. It was your traditional English breakfast The coffee was horrible. 2/10 on the coffee scale. The location is fabulous and very walkable. Kitty corner to the Windsor castle and shopping is steps away.

The hotel is situated near a few other airport hotels. I've stayed here a couple of times and it's been fairly painless: not too expensive, self check-in with minimal human interaction, and clean and quiet rooms. The rooms themselves have the bare necessities, including a water kettle, coffee, tea, TV, and towels. In addition, there's a full bar with various seating downstairs (which gets kind of rowdy), as well as a restaurant. I've eaten at said restaurant a few times, and the food is not bad at all! Their apps and curry dishes were pretty tasty. The only thing is that during peak travel times, service can be unusually slow. Apparently they also serve a breakfast buffet, though I've never gotten it because I have airport lounge access at Heathrow *flicks hair* My only first world gripe is that it is a long walk from when you get to Terminal 4 to the actual space of Premier Inn. There are two bus stops very close to the hotel that have several buses each hour, that take about 10 minutes to reach Terminal 5. I also really appreciate the staff - they were friendly and efficient. However, the hotel itself is not the best even for Premier Inns I have stayed in. It was not clean - the toilet needed cleaning - Gross, and everything else had an air of neglect. Worst of all, my room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. I called down immediately to reception to let them know and they apologized but did not offer me another room. It was literally hard to breathe all night. The bed was also uncomfortable with scratchy sheets and flat pillows. The hotel is also very bare bones- they don't even provide shampoo. It is available for purchase in the vending machine across from the lifts. I dined in the restaurant and it was not amazing but fine for what it was. Overall, a bit disappointed and not the best night of sleep, but with the price of less than $100 USD, I suppose I can't complain.

There's been a pub on the site since at least 1726, when Wallington was but a hamlet: it was originally called Bowling Green House. Between 1726 and 1773, it appears to have acted as a lodging house for travellers, and became the Duke's Head some time between 1740 and 1806. The present building is mid-Victorian and was bought by Young & Bainbridge in 1857, although it had been supplied with Young's beers since before 1832. It is listed at grade II, despite suffering bomb damage during World War II. The pub itself has a rather domestic, whitewashed exterior, with the new hotel extension sitting behind the original pub. The lounge bar interior is reminiscent of the 'roadhouse' style of pub - a large central bar area serving a spacious, multi-roomed interior, with lots of wood panelling, and a mixture of banquette seating and tables. There's a small outdoor drinking area at the front, facing Wallington Green (not quite as picturesque as it sounds, given that the Green is small and bounded on two sides by busy roads), and a large enclosed beer garden at the rear. They serve a couple of Young's Beers and a guest, which on our visit was Courage Directors, alongside Young's Bitter and Special. They do an extensive range of food, from soup, salads (from £7.95), sandwiches (from £4.95), Pizzas (from £7) and more substantial main courses, with daily specials, from around £10-£17. The function rooms are a very popular for wedding receptions, with the added benefit of accommodation for visiting guests on site. The hotel rack rates are pretty hefty (£115 for single and £120 for doubles) but can drop to around £80 for two people sharing a twin room with full English Breakfast if you hunt around on-line. Although very busy, we were served reasonably quickly, although (alas) not with a smile, and a few of the locals were a bit raucous (presumably had been drinking all day). The Young's Special however was in tip-top condition.

This pub has notions; even pubs in Chelsea are not this expensive. How they get away with it in Wallington is anyone's guess.

I told the front desk guy this and he still tried to convince me there was a charge until I pulled up the policy on my phone. The closet also had a sticker that said they would charge you if you stole the bathrobe but there was no bathrobe in my room to start with. Overall I feel like they are trying to set people up to scam as much money from them before there stay is over. Ambience: The room looked cute at first glance but was questionable the longer I stayed. There was visible mold growing all over the ceiling in the bathroom. The room came with a fridge to store leftovers but no microwave to reheat them.
