Food: The food here is bad. I tried the breakfast and lunch buffets and half of the options tasted bad enough for me to prefer eating just beans on toast. Service: The service here is also poor. The front desk staff sometimes attempt to be friendly but they mostly just try to overcharge you. I ended up canceling the last couple days I had booked in favor of moving to a different hotel. I had checked the written policy that said there were no additional cancelation charges as long as I canceled a few hours in advance. I told the front desk guy this and he still tried to convince me there was a charge until I pulled up the policy on my phone. The closet also had a sticker that said they would charge you if you stole the bathrobe but there was no bathrobe in my room to start with. Overall I feel like they are trying to set people up to scam as much money from them before there stay is over. Ambience: The room looked cute at first glance but was questionable the longer I stayed. There was visible mold growing all over the ceiling in the bathroom. We stayed here one night during a layover. It's not the fanciest hotel, but I don't have any real complaints. The checkin process was quick and the room was clean and comfortable. We had a nice dinner in the lounge: fish and chips, chicken tikka masala, and sticky toffee pudding. They were all pretty good. Also, we had the breakfast buffet. Was given this property through Hotwire secret pricing and once I read the reviews I was a bit concerned. After arriving at Heathrow and driving in, I found myself looking at a huge structure that takes up the view from several directions. Check in was a breeze, and Jane at the front desk allowed me to change rooms upon upgrading to the 6th floor. I went from a view of the roof to that of Windsor Castle. I ate dinner at Bugis that evening and had a decent enough meal, although a bit overpriced. As part of my upgrade I was given access to the Club Lounge. They served a continental breakfast in there which was perfect every morning and then snacks in the evening, along with wine. On three of the nights I was there the evening snacks were left out til who knows when. Only one Saturday evening was someone in there picking up, and although quite a nice person, her presence seemed a bit overbearing. Internet access in the room was terrible(!!!!) however in the lobby it was fine. Some people complained that nothing was in walking distance, however, despite having a car, I walked around on several different occasions, day and night. During that time I found the post office, had my hair cut, ate kebabs and then peri-peri chicken, oh I even did some small shopping. The diversity of the guests was really unlike anyplace else, maybe outside of Hong Kong. You had Lego land families, traveling business people, multiple large groups for different weddings and then the people coming by just to eat or use the gym. This made it awesome for people watching. Staff was truly 5 stars. Each and every one of the desk clerks and cleaning staff was great. The gym facilities was also 5 stars. Parking was easy and the drive to Windsor took all of 10 minutes. The biggest issue was the room itself. maybe 2.5 stars. The 'net stunk, the shower broke, the sink leaked badly(of which I mentioned the first day and no one checked on it) and the entire layout was very tired. Not dirty mind you, just tired. The train to London took 30 minutes and the taxi from the hotel to the station was 7 pounds. For the right price, this place is incredible. For the wrong price - meh. Stayed here on a business trip to slough. Would give 3.5 stars if I could. Ambiance: 3.5/5 - Lobby is beautiful, especially around the holiday. - The exterior of the hotel is also amazing. Quite large, and easy to find. Looks much fancier on the outside than inside - Cheery music playing in the lobb, but its not cheesy or overpowering. Adds a nice touch. - The individual floors look extremely outdated: carpets feel old, and unreplaced. The decor leaves a lot of be desired in the individual rooms and in the hall ways. Service: 5/5 -Service at this hotel is amazing. Being from the West coast of the United States, cold weather is extremely foreign to me, and the hotel made every effort to make sure I had access to everything I needed. I had to switch rooms twice due to nonfunctional heaters, and in the end they just provided me with a large space heater. This is more than enough, and worked well. -KLM messed up and didnt have my baggage on my flight so they had to deliver it. The front desk staff brought it straight to my room because they knew I was asleep, and didnt wanna leave my room. - You have to pay for Wifi, but they gave me a free code. Rooms: 2.5/5 (I was in a standard economy room) -Not enough outlets in my room, and none near my bed, making it impossible to use my laptop on my bed. -Couch in my room way dusty: but that didnt matter much because I didnt use it. -Heater didnt work in either of the rooms I was given. They made up for it in service. -Wifi in the rooms is abysmal. You have to pay, but I got a free code. The code only works once though so I could use have wifi on my laptop. Food: - Portion sizes for all the food was huge. Made a mistake of ordering too much. - I wanted a coke at like 6am,and they got one from the bar for me. The guy didnt read the label and accidentally gave me a diet coke. I didnt complain, but if I did in 99% sure he would have remedied it (I just didnt wanna waste the open bottle). Overall: Probably wouldnt stay here again, especially if I had to pay out of pocket, but relative to the rest of the Slough area, this may be the best option. Not sure. read more

I stayed here whilst on business nearby in Slough. The hotel outwardly looks a little dated, but I didn't let that put me off. Check in was smooth which I was very glad about after arriving late in the evening. The room was clean, large and comfortable with two double beds, and rather strangely two baby cots. The bathroom could have perhaps do with a little modernisation and could benefit from a few of the edges being tidied up. My room rate was breakfast inclusive which I chose to have in my room for a small charge (£3.00). The breakfast itself was very nice and was served with a large pot of coffee. A few small niggles about the hotel though: -There were not enough power outlets in the room, I managed to find one. - Not sure if this was an oversight in my room or not, but there was remote for the television rendering it useless - thank goodness for the wifi. Other than that, it was a fine hotel and suited my needs for a few days. read more

I stayed at this hotel for a large-scale event which was being held overall several days at the hotel. As accommodation was included in the event fee, I am not entirely sure how much the hotel itself cost, but thought it was pretty affordable given its relative discount to London (when the fast train is running). The room itself was okay. There were sufficient power outlets for both of us to ensure our devices could charge, and the bed itself was quite comfortable. The shower curtain was not wide enough for the bath tub, so we ended up soaking the floor on first use. I cannot speak for other rooms but our room was located on the second floor near the elevator shaft, so we could hear the music which was playing in the ballrooms all night, so not conducive for sleeping. Wi-Fi connectivity was spotty at best anywhere away from reception, so not good if you need high-speed Internet access. The bar was not at all equipped to deal with the number of people who were there for the event. They ran out of ice (or the ice machine was broken) and certain wines before the first day of the event was over. They were often grumpy and stressed and understaffed during main meal times. If there are going to be a substantial number of people at your hotel over a few days, then it's best to make sure you have enough staff. Simple as. read more

I arrived a few hours early on the day of the reservation. This was due to a flight change. i arrived at 10 and reception advised that my reservation was for 2pm. to check in at 10, I would have to pay a 10 pound fee per hour ($56) which was higher than the room fee per day. She confirmed that the room was ready but declined to let me have the room 1 second early. I had no choice but to check in early. When I got to the room, there was a notice from management that the air conditioner was out of service but specifically mentioned that the heat was unaffected. It was about 30 degrees outside so i turned on the heat immediately. Hours later I realized there was no heat and in fact a hand to the vent test showed cold air was coming in. I was shivvering. I phoned the desk and they suggested I could move rooms but could not guarantee the heat would work in those rooms either. Instead they brought up a radiator heater to the room. There are only 2 outlets in the room and one is taken up by this heater. With it on to its capacity, it barely made the icy cold room tolerable. Be sure to be OVERCHARGED and uncomfortable in this spot. I would NOT recommend. read more

A friend of mine who visited from the states stayed here and I made all the arrangements and reservation, as she wanted to stay in the hotel rather than being our guest at our home. This review is our combined first hand experience. A decent hotel for the price. Food is very good but pricey for what you get. If you are on the upper floors you are able to see the Windsor castle. The internet access was excellent both in the room and in the lobby. The restaurant on the ground floor is reasonably good. The staff at the reception can be a bit hasty at times, but most of the time they were helpful. Its not too far from the airport either, just costs 27 pounds if you book in advance online. All in all good hotel at a reasonable price. read more
