While working in Dodge City our team decided to grab lunch some lunch. This little off the beaten path hidden cafe is not your regular restaurant. It reminded me of home when we took our livestock to the sale barns in KC. I had the Liver and onions with tots. My coworkers got the chicken fried steak. I absolutely loved the Liver and onions!! Perfectly cooked topped with grilled onions and jalapeños. And the tots!! Crispy and delicious. I didn't hear any complaints coming from my coworkers either. If you're looking for great cafe food and not afraid to park with the ranchers or partake in watching a livestock sale, ya got hit up the Stockyard Cafe... especially on Wednesdays when they have the sale! read more

Great breakfast and very reasonably priced. The service is awesome!!! The ambiance is very Stockyard. Tip... If you come on Wednesday you can stay for the cattle auction and get loads of free entertainment. All the people were so very friendly and hospitable. We stayed an extra night so we could go back for another breakfast before moving in down the road. read more

Interesting place for lunch as we drove from chicago to Phoenix. Decent sandwiches and you can't beat the prices. Friendly service and added bonus of opportunity to watch a cattle auction. read more

The cafe is hidden in a brick building behind silos, and I almost missed it. But the food and the service for breakfast were both outstanding. It was busy at opening time. Recommended. read more

A long time ago there used to be a café here at the sale barn called Winter Livestock Café....locally owned and long history of cattle ranchers in Dodge City! We were seat a few seconds after arriving. The food taste really fresh. We are from California and this place is definitely something we look for when traveling. The service I awesome. We never had to ask for more coffee. She would just come to our table with coffee and top us off. read more
