Stopped for breakfast here before heading up scenic 7 for the drive north. Stoby's was on the way and seemed a good choice. Right now as long as you're coming from the west you can drive directly to the restaurant before the road is closed for construction (7/2026). We split a 2 egg with bacon breakfast and enjoyed it immensely. The house strawberry jam was really good. The hash browns were perfectly prepared if a bit greasy. The eggs ordered over medium were just a bit overcooked but we wanted to be sure the whites were fully done. My wife especially liked the cure on the bacon. Our server was prompt, friendly and attentive. She did a great job. It was interesting seeing how the original restaurant was converted rail cars and later expanded into what they have today. If you are hungry don't get caught on the "wrong side of the tracks." Stoby's is a railroad themed diner that sits adjacent to and across the tracks from the old Russellville train depot. There is some needed street and bridge improvements happening right now in the area, so navigation to Stoby's may not match your GPS recommendations. By the way, the old Russellville train depot is a museum that might be worth a visit after breakfast. Outside around back at Stoby's, you will notice a couple of Pullman cars that are actually part of the restaurant that you can dine in. The Pullmans are likely set up to handle groups. See the pictures from the outside and inside. The restaurant has a model railroad track that winds its way throughout the dining area. It was not running today. I suspect as a result of some type of Railroad Labor Union dispute. Mostly booths in the main dining area. Overall, it is a big restaurant. We were seated promptly and with menus; the drink orders processing while we studied the menu. The restaurant has daily specials, but we weren't railroaded into those options. The very nice waitress gave us plenty of time to study the menu and make a selection of our choice. My wife went for the Taco Salad; this ain't no Mexican joint but that's what she wanted. This is a southern food diner. The taco salad was similar to a school cafeteria, lunch taco salad. All the ingredients were fresh; the meat well was seasoned. The sauce came from a bottle. No, this ain't a Mexican restaurant. My wife liked the salad though. My meal was tasty and about as southern as it could get. Good cream gravy over a crunchy fried chicken breast, a cup of mashed potatoes with more cream gravy, and green beans with bacon. A slice of buttered Texas toast on the side to wipe the plate clean. Stoby's was great! We ate here on our way back to Oklahoma from Florida. Our server was really nice. Our food came fast! I loved my chicken salad sandwich on sourdough-I am quite picky when it comes to chicken salad and it was great! My friend had the chicken salad on a croissant. What a fun experience to dine in an old rail car at Stoby's. Our group was happily seated in the actual rail car, but there is a lot of regular seating as well. Stobys was a great choice to experience Arkansas, being from Texas we were excited to try an Arkansas classic. The service was good and we got to try a very unique PB and J bacon burger. The salty ness from the bacon went perfectly with the warm peanut butter creating a gooey mess of goodness between buns. The Mexican fruit punch was delicious. My first time in Arkansas and everyone said to try this restaurant. I would say it is very cool being in a train depot theme. Cute building in a train car and toy train riding around the inside top edge of restaurant. There are large steps to get inside not sure how handicap accessible. The food was okay. I did like the sweet tea with the crushed ice and my sweet waitress gave me one to go. The possum pie I took home as well, yummy. The small nachos with queso was quite large, could not finish. Chips were fresh and basic queso. The dinner I got was okay, the waitress was amazing. Interior was clean but old 90's style wood finishing. Read the room- this is not a place to get a crab cake benedict- honestly, probably not the place to get a benedict at all. The crab cake was so fried- still can't get the taste of oil out of my mouth. It resembled more of a cheap extra crispy chicken patty. The server asked me if I wanted my poached egg soft, medium, or hard. I love a good Benedict, so of course I ordered it soft. I was able to pick up and manhandle this hockey puck of an egg. We were in town visiting friends and went to Stoby's for breakfast Saturday morning. I was afraid it would be crowded, but we were seated right away. Our server was very friendly and brought coffee quickly. I ordered scrambled eggs, grits, and bacon with a biscuit. Everything was perfect, hot, and delicious. My eggs were cooked perfectly (this means they weren't burned or scorched!!). DH and our friend ordered the same breakfast with hash browns and eggs over easy. They had put crispy bacon in the hash browns and DH enjoyed them so much. We will definitely go back the next time we're in Russellville. read more

We ordered sandwiches middle of the day. The chicken salad on Rye was good and a nice portion of chicken salad. The bread was soft and fresh. A small bag of chips was my side. The other sandwich was a club, I think a different type of bread would have been better, it was wheat. Ask for it on a hogue if that's an option! Plenty of meats and cheese. The coleslaw was very tasty. The dining room was fine , but with summer air conditioning running, it was too cool for my taste , so bring a wrap of some sort. Our server was pleasant. Their fluffy pancakes are as big as the large oval sized plates they're served on.
