Ever since I first saw the Stitching Station, I knew that I wanted something from there. So...each year when my husband asked what I wanted for Christmas, I would tell him to go to the Stitching Station and get me a sweatshirt. Ah...but no. Our daughter was visiting us recently and we all went to the mall. As we walked by the Stitching Station, I told her how I wanted her father to get me a personalized sweatshirt. Then she had an idea. That day, I was carrying an old canvas bag, which she hated. She told me that she will get me a personalized canvas bag as an early Christmas present. We went in and chose a bag. Then she went to the counter and told the young man working there what she wanted embroidered on it and asked how much it will all cost. The bag itself was $14.99. With the personalization, the price before tax was $40. I was amazed at how detailed the personalization gets. Not only names but what color hair and eyes each "kid" would have. I let her choose everything. After paying, she asked how long it would take to get it done. The young man said 2 hours. She told him that we were going to have dinner and will come back afterwards for the bag. Sure enough, the bag was done and waiting for us. We were both very pleased with how it came out. Our daughter was also pleased because this meant that I didn't have to use the old canvas bag anymore LOL! And I have to admit---the bag will last longer than a sweatshirt and can be used all year round. Since we had a very positive experience here, I would recommend using them if you want personalized embroidery on an item. read more

The quality of work is good, the customer service leaves a lot to be desired. There is an older gentleman that works there that is very rude and gets very irate when he can not communicate with customers. On numerous occasions I have tried to deal with this man but I always leave the store very frustrated and unhappy. I saw the reviews for this business and thought I should check it out for myself because I really needed something embroidered and there aren't many places in Loudoun County. I went into the store at the Dulles Town Center and witnessed first hand the rude customer service. This young girl was trying to explain what she wanted and the man, who I believe is the owner, kept repeating the same incoherent phrase over and over again and was getting so upset that the girl didn't understand what he was saying. I speak several languages and have experience working with people from different countries so I wanted to help this poor girl understand what this man was saying. I tried to help, but this man basically gestured for me to stay out of it and mind my own business. I really didn't listen to him and helped this girl finally communicate what she wanted done. I went here to get fabric embroidered with my granddaughter's name on it to make a quilt. I explained what I wanted and he said he would be $20. When I asked if he could use gold thread, he raised the price to $35. I was okay with that, but I wanted it done the same day. He told the girl to come back at 5 PM to pick up her jacket, but he told me that he couldn't do it the same day. He said that he was too busy and couldn't have it done until the next day at 3PM! I was really puzzled because he was working on the girl's jacket at that time and finished the embroidery within the next 15 minutes while I was still trying to decide what type of lettering I wanted done and also tried to get a discount. He proceeded to tell me that "Indians, Asians, Pakistanis get discounts, but not Americans"!! I don't know if I misunderstood what he said because he has a very heavy accent and doesn't speak much English, but this was enough for me to finally leave this store. I will definitely look for another place to get my embroidery done. If I could give zero stars I would! read more
