But Denver Fabrics, long my go-to and most beloved source, closed long ago. I found this place online after searching for a specific type of fabric. They do have a brick-and-mortar location. However, ordering online is easy, and the prices (discounted from retail) are VERY good. Most of the fabrics that I bought were $10/yard! Shipping is both reasonably priced and fast. They have a vast selection of fabrics, including home decor, upholstery, and outdoor. I specifically searched for upholstery fabric by color, and found several. I also bought fabric to make a duvet cover. My only complaint about their website is that the pictures can't be enlarged by much. I solved this by screenshotting the fabrics, cropping, and then saving to my pictures, where I could enlarge them with ease. Also, they don't list the fabric content. I accidentally ordered four yards of fabric that turned out to be burlap and chenille. This is why enlarging the pictures is helpful. I'll use it for a window seat, maybe. Or line a trunk. It's too casual for a formal dining room. Maybe curtains, idk.

The private lot but it's basically a large room filled with dusty products that haven't been purchased and probably never will due to the age of the item. Very Amish oriented and for the people that don't live in that way the items are of zero use. This isn't a grocery store. They sell fabric and farm equipment along with kitchen wares. Lots of sewing supplies and such things along the lines of that. If there is a specific item like that you're looking for the. This would be the place. I also found the employees to be unfriendly and judgy because I wasn't Amish. Or at least that's how I felt. I wouldn't go back but it id locally owned so I would support it if I had something there I needed.

Everyone was so friendly. So helpful. My friend was picking fabrics for a small wall hanging. This is her first foray into civil war, reproduction fabrics. Caroline was so enthusiastic, it was inspiring to watch. She explained what she was thinking and looking for in her color choices. I bought three kits. I never, ever buy kits. The fun is choosing fabrics, right? But her color sense is beyond belief. I can't wait to get home and start sewing ! I can't wait to go back. Please visit. We really enjoyed the variety of discounted fabric bolts available; and especially had fun digging through the scrap bin, to assemble a $5 bag of nice pieces. We also purchased a beautiful finished runner, quilted by the owner's mother. This is definitely a shop we hope to revisit, when again in the area.
