I stumbled upon this store way back in February/March during the Van Wert Chocolate Walk. It was on of the stops and the moment I walked in the store, i gave an audible gasp. This place was beautiful! The decor was amazing! I was immediately imagining how it would look like in the house i was buying. I knew at that moment this store was dangerous... because it would separate me from my money in no time! I spoke with the owner of the store, Joanne, when i found out that they also did drapes. My new home came with some awfully garish drapes... purple drapes!?!?! Black drapes for a dining room? Ridiculous! I needed some new drapes and Joanne promised me she would show me some great options. She came to my new home and measured, she came up with someone wonderful ideas. During this time i also found out she was an interior designer. I just hired her to help me decorate the home and get me new drapes and decor to make my home beautiful. This was a great decision! Joanne has impeccable taste! She listens and understands the type of style her customers have... she then takes that and brings pieces that tastefully use that style to adorn and enrich your home. So much of my home decor now is from her store! I love how beautiful my home is!!!! Love it!!!!! If you are looking to change the drapes in your home... this is the place! I went to HomeGoods today to buy a rolling cart. They only had one white metal card in the size…read morethat I needed. The paint was chipped off on the "feet" of the cart and came off when touching it. Flaked paint was literally on my hands when I touched the wheels. I asked the cashier if she would be able to give me a discount on the rolling cart. I really didn't want to pay the full price of $59.00 for an defective item. She looked at me and said: I will not discount the cart but you are welcome to buy yourself some paint or a white marker to repair it. Ok- so let me summarize. I am paying the full price and then go out to buy sanding paper, paint etc to make the item look like new when it was supposed to be new at purchasing? I always liked HomeGoods but this experience makes me want to go to their competitors now. It has been a long time since I have experienced such poor customer service.

Anytime I move or want to redecorate my living space, Home Goods is my first stop to look for everything from new dishes to wall art to decorative pillows. This Home Goods in particular is usually pretty well stocked with quality home pieces at prices that are hard to beat. Keep in mind that they usually don't restock the same items twice, so if you see something you like you can't assume it will be there the next time you stop in. I've also run into the issue of HG only having one item in stock when I need two (i.e.: a set of matching lamps or pillows). Can't say that's their fault, just something to keep in mind.

We purchased a few flowering plants, while here. We think we got some good deals while here. We also went inside and checked out the gas grills as ours has seen better days through constant use. We think we can still get another years worth of use out of it, but will probably have to come back next year to buy one. No lines at all during checkout, even though it was the weekend.
