Once inside though, you are welcomed by their vast assortment of support and offerings. Family owned and operated, they are authorized dealer for Baby Lock, Grace and Janome machines along with a wide variety of fabrics, thread, tools and notions making your sewing adventures a dream. Prices are on par with others and we were able to find out of print fabrics we couldn't find elsewhere. The staff was friendly and very helpful but I also loved the feeling as other "regulars" were shopping and you could tell that this was a welcoming shop. Definitely give them a visit if you are in the area - I only wish they had online shopping available if you aren't local.

I had a digital telescope that was being shipped back to the manufacturer in France. The time and care that was taken to make sure this instrument made its journey to France unscathed was like nothing I've seen. It would not have gotten this care and treatment from the UPS store in Waco. I was expecting an amount for the services they gave but to my surprise it was 1/3 of what I thought I'd be charged. This is the difference between a mom and pop local business and the chains of big cities. If you have a shipping need in Hill County or surrounding area this is the place to use.

They also have a variety of patterns, books and projects and the staff couldn't be more pleasant to work with. In addition to fabrics and notions, there are also a selection of wood implements and tools that are hand tooled and the highest of quality. Whether driving up from Austin or south from Dallas, this is a shop NOT to be missed. My wife's sewing machine wasn't working. She called them up and was invited to bring the machine…read morein. Fortunately the machine was still acting up so the shop could see exactly what the problem was. Turned out the machine needed a different bobbin, and they also showed her the correct way to thread the machine. Since she has been sewing heavier material and doeskin, they also suggested a "walking foot" to make the task easier. The only charge was for the walking foot, they didn't charge anything for getting the machine going and showing her how to use it. Lot's cheaper than buying a new machine!

I used to love coming to this Hobby Lobby location and decorating my home with items from here, but…read morerecently my experiences have been completely ruined by the attitude of some of the employees. Over the last 2 months, one Hispanic young employee with red hair has made every visit extremely unpleasant with rude behavior and a terrible attitude. Today, she was also constantly staring at us in a very judgmental way and making us feel extremely uncomfortable the entire time we were shopping. No customer should feel watched or judged just for being in the store. The older cashier with glasses at the register was also openly looking us up and down and came across as very judgmental and unwelcoming. Customers should not feel uncomfortable or judged while simply trying to shop. It's disappointing because this used to be one of my favorite stores, but the customer service lately has been awful. I really wish management would hire kinder, more professional employees instead of people with constant attitudes toward customers.

I brought my own detergent.. they do have a dry cleaning adjacent where you can purchase fabric softener and detergent if need be. The machines didn't smell and that's a big deal for me.
