We've tried many different programs and instructors, and my daughter just hasn't "taken" to the water. In comes Addie, and after a couple of months with her patience and kindness, I now have a swimmer. In addition, the entry to the facility always looks really clean and tidy. The staff are always really kind and polite!

For this reason I canceled my me ever that just signed up for and paid the registration fee (over $500 Which includes the membership fee). So basically I have been told that if I would have contacted them before the 25th of the month, they could have refunded the membership fee but not that we are past it nothing can happen. If ever I would like to sign up again, I would still have to pay $200. This seems like a rip off and my kid come here for his classes and I come here for my beginner classes as well. Seems like it doesn't matter about customer satisfaction for them. They will Include any rule to make sure they are getting the money. Again, I like individuals here. But as business they definitely suck. I would not recommend being a member here cause as long as you are remember, you are fine but other than that it's a loss of money for you. Many would argue that I should have read terms and condition (which is in benefits to the club) but circumstances arise where you are an advocate to yourself. Be careful to becoming their member because it is a rip off, you may not know it just yet.

Despite attending summer camp daily, his evaluation showed a regression--with no clear explanation. When I raised concerns, I was met with defensiveness and vague responses also surprisingly rude attitude. Communication with instructors was discouraged. While the instructors seem capable, the system feels rigid, opaque, and dismissive of parent feedback. We gave this program six months of patience and good faith. Sadly, transparency and accountability were never part of the equation.

Between the short, ineffective lessons and the shady billing practices, you're better off taking your money somewhere else. There are plenty of schools that are more transparent, professional, and actually teach you something. Stay away.

The facilities here are well worth the price. Tons of changing rooms, showers, diapers and hair ties for when you forget yours, huge seating area and warm swimming water. The staff are super friendly at the front desk and the couple swim instructors that have taught my kids are wonderful and patient.

We've taken lessons from a few different coaches, and they've all been excellent with clear communication and knowing how much to challenge her. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting their child to feel more comfortable in the water and more importantly, to obtain and hone valuable self-rescue skills.

I don't have time to argue w her so I just decided to let folks know, la fitness (shocker) is out to rip us off. They don't care about doing to right thing, close their location without 30 days notice so they can scam customers out of another months pmt for something they can't use.

I have 2 boys, 20 months and a new 4. While on vacation, my older son forgot he didn't have his life jacket on and jumped into the deep end. I was right there, but I still managed some tears thinking "what if I wasn't?" These lessons aren't going to teach your child to swim freestyle across the pool. Ensuring your child can get himself to the surface and roll onto their backs and wait/cry until help arrives is what they do. And there are additional skills involved for older babies/children teaching them to swim all the way to safety. Both my boys LOVE Miss Heather. She is extremely patient, and she takes the kids' personalities into consideration. I ALWAYS felt my boys were safe with her, even when they were learning difficult maneuvers. Miss Heather knew how to correct their techniques so they would learn and demonstrate the important survival skills they need. I can't say enough about Miss Heather and ISR! I'm so glad we did it. I would beg of you to see her if you have regular water access. This skill is life-saving.

This swim school completely fits the bill. My first phone call with Tracey, the owner, gave me a great first impression of the school. She explained the programs they offered, answered all my questions, and helped me choose which classes were a good fit. Since I have two kids, she shuffled some things around in the schedule so that both kids can go on the same night with one lesson after the other. This is very convenient :) Also convenient is that all administrative stuff is available on their website, so I didn't have to fuss with printing out paperwork. On the first day of class, Tracey warmly greeted us at the door, and got us set up with everything we needed (including complimentary swim caps). For my 4-year-old's beginner class (Minnows), there were 4 students and 2 very capable, hands-on instructors. They were both excellent with kids and you can see that the kids are having a lot of fun. To get kids used to the water, they play a game where each kid gets a turn to do an activity for a short burst of time. They work in round robin fashion, and go very quickly, so as to keep it fun and make it less frightening. This method worked really great on my son because within the first couple of lessons, he overcame his fear of swimming. At the end of the class, they bring out toys and inflatables and this is my son's favorite part of the class. My daughter is in a more advanced class where they work on their strokes and swim laps. Again, great instruction, and she loves the class. By the way, the facilities are really nice. They are in the recreation building of a new apartment complex (Avana 522). The pool is a great size, nice and clean. Outside of the pool area there is a lobby with free wifi, sitting area with tv, and vending machines. It's been 3 weeks now. My kids LOVE their swim lessons and it's amazing to see all the progress they've made in such a short amount of time. All in all, we couldn't ask for any better. If I were to grade this school, I would give them a solid A+.

I used the pool and the weight room. The only issue I had was the men's locker room shower, it took approximately four minutes for the water to get warm, and during my shower the water temperature changed when a toilet was used. Overall, this is a great YMCA, and a great place to work out.
