Very scumming store I rescued an arrowana from a 30 gallon tank they had him in they gave me a 14 inch box to transport a 20 inch fish and when he died from it the store owner refused to take the blame and refund the money... been to every petstore in Michigan and everyone has worked with me except stingray bay don't buy fish or anything from here your wasting money and there's no garentee on your fish and there's so many better stores in the area to go to within 15 mins of stingray bay 4 stores to be exact stingray is by far the most money hungry store I've seen in awhile don't waste you money on these fools owner literally admitted to me over the phone that he doesn't care about the fish or other animals read more

Old school fish store where the owners got answers to your questions I've got 21 fish tanks going in 80% of my fish fresh and salt came from that store if the owner doesn't have it he'll try and find it for you and people remember a lot of your fish are wild caught fish you should always have a quarantine tank never take a brand new fish and stick it in your main tank unless your tank is medicated read more

I have been in saltwater for over 20 years. My current tanks have been established for 10 years. I have purchased 8 different saltwater fish in the last 3 months from them. I lost 7 out of 8 (Some wouldn`t eat, others just got sick 3 days into quarantine). Talked to the owner and he sold me different foods and medications and nothing helped. Very frustrated when they say its just part of the hobby. I took all the precautions(QT tank/ copper treatment/ nothing helped the 7 fish I lost). QT was taken slowly to watch how they reacted to the medication. Needless to say I will not purchase from them again. read more

I love absolutely love this store and recommend it to my fellow fish lovers! They have a great variety of fresh and salt water fish, frogs, aquarium plants and aquarium supplies. The customer service and attentiveness you get with the staff here is immeasurable, their is almost always someone offering their assistance and is there to ask questions too. It is a smaller store so if they are busy be prepared to squeeze by many people as the layout isn't built for many people to look at the same time, despite this they are wonderful and unique compared to other stores in the area. Also they are amazing with their prices likely the lowest I've seen out of specialty fish stores (non branded). This is a very neat fish store that not only has fish and yes of course stingrays. But they also have parrots and in the back.. they have snakes, scorpions, crabs, and crawfish along with your usual slimy, scaly, Awesome creatures of the depths of the water along with the shorelines. I am giving this place five stars because the employees there are not only helpful but they were also kind they knew the answer to every question I had. They also were not over pushy like some pet stores can be they were very polite. And let us look around! I recomend everyone to come here instead of your chain Petco or PetSmart it's nice to see a local small business open functioning and prospering it's been years since I've been here. I've gone here a few times to purchase fresh water fish, and all of the tanks are immaculately clean, and the fish all appear to be healthy and well taken care of. The animals seem disease-free, and this is a very cool location to just stop by and see some unique animals, such as freshwater stingrays, and even shark eggs! Their stock of fish seems to rotate, and change frequently, so make sure you call ahead if you are looking for something specific that you saw a week before. I called a day before arriving and someone pleasantly answered my questions about products they may carry. I came the next day. The building is deceiving! It looks smaller on the outside, but as soon as you step in there are multiple tank walls. They have so many different species of both Fresh and Salt fish and inverts. I came in to add a new fish to my saltwater tank. I already knew I wanted to purchase a mandarin, but to my surprise they had MULTIPLE tanks of mandarins! As I was browsing around I was approached multiple times by several individuals if I needed anything. It was great! I proceeded to head to the counter after picking out my new mandarin with copepods and the woman (I assume business owner or manager) very cheerfully said "you were the one that called yesterday!" I started my 90 gallon saltwater reef aquarium over 4 months ago and the staff here has helped me every step of the way and will not even sell me a fish until they know I can take care of it and the tank is ready, (how many store owners will do that???) plus they ask what else i have in the tank so new fish will get along with the fish i already have, I would highly recommend them for everything. read more

It's probably a stupid way to attract customers... my little daughter was accused of taking the sink... when we started to sort it out, it turned out that they were accusing her of not putting it in its place (it turns out you need to put it in its place, I didn't see the rules - probably oral rules. What will the employees do?) At first I was pleased purchased 2 arowanas which died within 24 hours after getting them home. They tested my water and couldn't come up with why they died. Even though they don't guarantee their live stock, after spending $600.00 with them you think they would have tried to accommodate with something. Would never shop or recommend anyone go there. Very nice, knowledgeable, and helpful. After receiving incorrect advice and little help at a different fish store I stopped in to Stingray Bay. The people I spoke to there were very helpful, told me not to spend money on something I may not need which I found to be honorable, and even offered me free live bloodworms to feed my betta to see if that helped him to start eating again!
