I took my 99 Forester with 220,000 miles in for repair of the EVAC system. The gas tank could only be filled very slowly. The last time I filled it the pump shut off 16 times while I put in 6 gallons. The EVAC system had never been worked on before so there was a possibility of it needing extensive, expensive repairs. I got a call a few hours later. My car was ready. There was no charge for parts, only one hour of labor cleaning out a clogged line. The mechanic even took it to a gas station and put some gas in it to confirm the repair. Today I filled the tank myself and it filled with no problems. Not only was it repaired but I could have been charged for parts not needed, but that didn't happen. This was a 5-star experience. A good honest mechanic is a great find. read more
