They have a light rail station that goes from here to downtown and back. My memories go back from being 14 and having banquet dinners and announcements for this University. The long hours of prepping and preparing arguments go way back! I love this University and find nothing but attractive memories from the accomplishments this University had to offer. Please-- take a tour here! You won't regret it. There are also killer spots for boba tea, seafood, medical spas and restaurants nearby that are by walking distance. I loved talking with Nancy so much that my interview ended up being an hour and a half, and in that time I got a lot of insight as to what I could expect from the next ten weeks and beyond. I received tips to help me stand out when it came to applying for the job and realistic timelines as to when I could expect to get hired, as well as specific companies that are willing to hire right out of the gate. The class itself was not too time consuming or overly difficult. I managed to find the time every week for homework even with working a part time job and going to school full time. It was really just a matter of making it a priority. The class size was small so we all got the individual help we needed. My instructor Joel was fantastic! He taught to the test, as that had the most value in the outside world as well as in the classroom. He had lots of tips, tricks and helpful advise for everybody when it came to the practical side of phlebotomy too, and was readily available to answer any questions we had. My externship with Quest Diagnostics was great. I had zero logistical questions going into it as PLC and Joel did a great job of preparing us for that. I learned so much from the ladies there and felt truly welcomed by them. They didn't treat me like an incompetent student, they treated me like a colleague. After my externship I was a few sticks shy of what I needed to complete the course, but PLC was more than willing to have me back twice to finish them up with another segment. Truly a great stepping stone for my and my career.

Also I was renewing as a personal caregiver and not working in a hospital or care center. I am so grateful for all of the support and encouragement. Things had changed since I last had my license. It was so much easier for me to get in a place with a small group, the one on one attention I received. Also the availability of classes I was able to choose from worked with my family. All of the staff were so helpful and kind. I truly appreciate that and I have recommended them to many different people. Others in my class had already secured a position prior to completing their training. I was able to start in my position days after my testing was complete. Not only do I have my CNA but I am also CPR CERTIFIED.

I started my surgical technology program at Pima Medical Institute (Denver) in December 2018. The…read morelength of program was 18 months. Initially, I intended to enroll in the radiologic technology program, which is also offered at Pima. However, after discovering the surgical technology program by a complete accident during a site visit, I thought it is the best decision I've ever made since. My experience at Pima was quite unique and embedded with lots of good memories, especially with friends whom I met from the same cohort. The instructors were genuinely kind and truly cared about the success of each individual student. The didactic curriculum was reasonably structured with concomitant hands-on experience in the surgical simulation lab which I thought was extremely beneficial in terms of preparation for the clinical rotation. The simulation operating room was well-equipped and set up, which offered a great opportunity to practice and master your clinical skills. Ms. Van, our lab instructor and lecturer, was super helpful and passionate about teaching. It appeared naturally to me that she really enjoyed teaching, especially when it came to the skill demonstration during the simulation lab. Approximately two weeks after the start of my clinical rotation at the University Hospital as a surgical tech student, the peak of the COVID pandemic came by the end of March 2020. The hospital where I was rotating at was forced to enforce a restriction access policy, which essentially affected all students. My clinical rotation was inevitably suspended for three months. During that time, my clinical director continuously fought to find alternative clinical sites for all of us. In the end, I finally had a chance to complete my clinical hours at Denver Health hospital, which happened to be the place that I was employed and ended up working at as a certified surgical technologist. I loved my job and felt very confident in my skill competency thanks to everything that I was taught at Pima. I am currently a PA student at Chapman University in Irvine, CA. Every time I reflect on my educational journey and how it leads me on the path where I am today, it always reminds me of the wonderful people that I met at Pima and Denver Health along with the great memories that they left within me. It was being the surgical tech that gave me the motivation to pursue the dream of becoming a surgical PA. To any prospective students who are interested in or thinking about becoming a surgical technologist, I believe Pima Medical Institute (Denver, CO) is a great place for you to start. The faculty really set a high standard for the program, which can only be appreciated if you truly care about your surgical patients and their outcome and want to be a GREAT surgical technologist in the OR.

I've been to many different institutes of higher learning and this is the only one I've dealt with…read morethat gave me as many problems as it has. I managed to flunk out of the 2nd semester of my program which requires picking up the program in May 2026. So keep in mind this is a four month period. By the middle of it, I applied for "re enrollment" and was told that a committee would be meeting on April 23 to review my application. Turns out they had "approved" this much sooner. When I received the call I was "re-enrolled" I asked if I needed to handle any taxes or related information prior to coming in for a scheduled appointment and was told that everything would be taken care of by the meeting time. Turns out revealing my 2024 taxes had not been squared away at this point was a major obstacle and we needed to reschedule. Since then I had several telephone correspondences with the Financial Aid reps and was told various different things and suggestions. My 2025 taxes returns were mentioned as helping to get the funding I need to start. Another was that a "financial coordinator" would work out some monthly payment plan agreement. Neither of these things apparently helped my situation. Given that the 2024 taxes processing takes several weeks to months if you do a mail in (which online tax filing indicated was the only option) I wouldn't have FASFA until early July 2026. In other words despite having two months time to get back into the program and have what I needed accounted for, it took as long for me to find out what I already knew was going to happen: sorry but you should have had all these bs things done and over with, you need a co-signer we already know you don't have, tough shit. But you can wait till the beginning of the new year to start up again!

Only 1 of the 4 in sports medicine even got a real job in the field. In the hip/knee class, only the young, white males got jobs with companies like Smith and Nephew, DePuy Synthes, etc. Those jobs pay salaries and bonuses over 6 figures. The other guys over 35 took 1099 jobs or ended up back in their old careers within 18 months. Being a 1099 rep, is not a real job for what you spend at MSC because you can get that without the benefit of a certificate from MSC. This school is very slick with the marketing, but that placement rate only works for those folks on the graduate testimonial page. And really...only those in the big name companies are going to make that 6 figure mark in the first 2 years on the job. Choose wisely. You'd be better off going to surgical tech training, working in the ER for 6 months and then applying to a big company. Better ROI regardless of your age/race.

I agree with the proper and creative use of credit to pay down mortgages and to increase cash flow. I have invested in real estate prior to the 2008 crash, and made a lot of mistakes, but wish to get back into the game. Early in the conversation, I shared with Matthew my situation, and learned that I will have to make some changes to my cash flow before moving forward to the next step. In spite of that, Matthew continued to spend time with me on the phone and encouraged me to make the proper adjustments in my situation, so that we can work together. When I watched his Youtube videos, I could tell that Matt could retire already and surf or whatever he chooses. WASTE OF MONEY AND TIME…read more While Matthew gives nice tips and tricks on his channel, his coaching program is a total joke. First of all, he is not the one who is going to be your coach. He will pair you with someone else (don't know how many coaches are there, or maybe just one coach Joe, who was mine). I though I was the perfect candidate for this program as I had a lot to work with - nice cashflow (6 figure income), huge student debt, and I was buying a condo. First few sessions we were reviewing cash flow cruncher and my goals. The next sessions I didn't really know what to talk about (I think the coach did not really know either..). Other than recommending some few good books to read and chit chatting about some general concepts - I did not learn ANYTHING. After realizing that this program is not teaching me anything I expressed my concerns to Mr. Pillmore, who upon "committee review" of my case replied that I was not a good candidate for their program. Luckily I did not pay the whole membership fee upfront, but was paying monthly. I am not a fan of leaving negative reviews and I was hesitant as to whether to leave one. As I always rely on reviews myself when choosing the services, I thought it would be fair to share my experience. My advice to you considering this program - DO NOT pay the entire fee upfront. After few months you will be able to see if this is worth your money and time!
