Had dinner with my family here on their last day before they went back to the US, the sushi's were amazing, they were absolutely to die for, the cocktails were great, and my daughter loved the fact that she could drink at 16 legally in Copenhagen, so she had a few of her own, will definitely be back here when I'm in town again.

Sticks n Sushi was one of the freshest sushi places I've ever visted. The entire experience was excellent. Service was great, the vibe was welcoming, and the food was outstanding. I'm a big sashimi guy, so we ordered a mix of sashimi cuts as well as some rolls. Here are the must-try items: Sashimi: - Shake Carpaccio - salmon sashimi with salmon roe and light miso aioli - Sashimi Mix - includes thick-cut salmon, tuna and hiramasa served over ice Rolls: Hell's Kitchen - if you like tempura shirmp, this is a must-try Pink Alaska - classic salmon avocado rolled with a generous amount of lumpfish roe Mamma Mia - avocado, cucumber, crispy sesame crumbles (good vegetarian roll) Rice Paper Roll - duck, picked onion, avocado, cucumber The next time I visit Copenhagen, this place is making another appearance my dining list.

First off Helena was such a sweetheart we would come back just for her even though she normally isn't a server. We came in and the place was nearly empty but when we left at like 8 it was packed. I started with a FUYU orange cocktail and enjoyed it. My boyfriend got spicy edamame and a Miso soup. He wasn't a fan of the edamame but he loved the miso soup which was full of flavor. We shared crab croquettes with a wasabi ceasar sauce that were yummy. Next up were the ebo bites. Super crunchy outside with tempura shrimp on the inside. Outstanding! Next up were some rolls, 4 PC Sparkling Tuna for me and a California for him. Both were fresh and devoured rather quickly. Next came the sticks. He got a shishito pepper and I got the goat cheese with dried ham. Then we shared a Wagyu steak, a panko chicken, and a Scallop and Bacon. All were wonderful. We were so full we said we couldn't eat another bite. Helena showed me the size of the desserts and of course I caved and ordered the creme brulee and the white chocolate mousse with licorice and raspberry foam. OMG to die for! There are severall locations in Copenhagen. Don't miss out!

I dined here alone and noticed there were several other diners doing the same, so this is a great place to come solo. I order the Yuzu cocktail, mini maki and cod stick. The cocktail was fruity but not too sweet, very balanced. The mini maki was a perfect mix of their top rolls, everything tasted very fresh. The cod was the best cod I've ever had, it was juicy and melt-in-your-mouth fresh! The service was on-point and very professional. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for fresh and local sushi.

    "Sashimi mix": tuna, salmon, hiramasa

Pros: wire array of menu options, indoor/outdoor seating, staff attention, fish/ingredients quality Cons: - If you are looking for sushi, you can stop searching: this is where you want to go. Their ingredients are incredibly fresh, their sushi rice just perfect, and their menu has a wide selection of maki, nigiri, sashimi, salads and meat on sticks. Plus, a full bar menu with sake. We ordered the "Sashimi mix" (3 pcs of each salmon, tuna, hiramasa) and "Mix Emotions"(Edamame, 2 sticks of chicken, 1 stick of pork, 4 nigiri of tuna, salmon, shrimp, hiramasa; 3 maki of pink Alaska, spicy tuna, gypsy big) options, and they were outstanding. Plus, for a full experience, we ordered their geinmacha tea which came in a pot big enough to get 6 servings out of it. Outdoor seating has fire-lanterns and blankets to keep patrons warm, a nice touch that really enhances the experience.

As soon as we walked into this pretty chic looking restaurant on this cool Danish evening, we were greeted with a hot gust of air. And as the evening progressed, the ambience didn't get any better. They set the temperature to an uncomfortably high level. But depite this, I'd give sticks n' sushi 4 stars, cause that's how good the food here was. The sushi, they just nailed it. From the simple Salmon Maki to the complex Daikon Salmon + Yasai roll, it was all just perfect. Nothing really stood out. The fish of course was pretty good. The rice complemented it just right. They all just worked so well together. For the yakitori, the way the pork just melted off the stick and into your mouth was just glorious. This restaurant may be the best one in the world that does both yakitori and sushi. Was an amazing and almost perfect experience food-wise. If they can just fix their climate control... now that would be something else.

Restaurant with beautiful interior and a great variety of food options. I always come here craving sushi but the menu seems to highlight all other options with mouthwatering pictures so I end up craving something else. The sushi options are nice but so far the highlight of my meals has been the different small sticks you can order with meat, fish, delicious vegetables or cheese. So this is a great place to take someone who isn't too keen on sushi, because there are a lot of other delicious options. The place seems to be packed very often so it is best to reserve a table. The service is quite good and fast but seems to vary a lot depending on the person serving you. But overall usually a nice experience!

I came here even though I didn't feel like ordering fish, let alone sushi. It was still really great, though pricy (which should be expected given the presentation and quality of food). I got the Ebi hapser (tempura shrimp), Green grass salat (vegetarian salad), and four sticks (Imo yaki, Aigamo, Aspara wafu, and Eringi). I liked the Eringi the best, likely because I love mushrooms and miso isn't as pungent as teriyaki or wafu. The shrimp was really interesting because the outer layer had little round crisps rather than something more flakey and typical of what I see in sushi restaurants. The salad was light and warm, and included a good combination of textures.

Visiting from California. Loved the jumping fish sign outside, saw that it was busy and thought our group would give it a try. We had cauliflower, avocado, crap croquettes, evil bites and corn for starters...OMG amazing!! Then for our main we had a Maki Maki platter to share for 4 people and ate it all! Very satisfying and would definitely come back if we come to Copenhagen again. Highly recommend this re if you are in the mood for some sushi!

I have found one of my new favorite bars in the city. And best part of all, it's close to my work!…read more I commend them on their concept, and good opening. I hope they can keep up the momentum. Downstairs is the underground, gritty part which is more prohibition style, in the sense that people would hide away in dark basements. The lighting is low with exposed brick walls. Very hyggelig. The drink selection downstairs is your low tier spirits, beer, and house wine. They have my favorite mason jar lighting, and they serve the single mixes in mason jars. You go upstairs and you have brighter lighting, nice chandeliers, and lamps, with the high end liquors, yummy cocktails, beer and wine. The bartenders are great and know their stuff. They are also very friendly which is a plus! The clover club is great, along with the espresso martini which they make with fresh brewed espresso. It makes a difference. Do yourself a favor and check it out. I hope this place is here to stay!

It's really tough to decide whether I actually like Bootleggers or not…read more Ever since this bar newly opened, I kinda had suspicion that it was mostly tourist trap with its kitsch writings on the wall (cocktail bar upstairs, craft beer bar downstairs) as if we drinkers couldn't find our own way to alcohol. But I have to admit hands down that they have nice tap list and not the usual bodega fares with easy pilsner and some yellow-ish lager. With the location just across Torvehallerne, it makes craft beer drinking even easier this way. When they announced that they have Evil Twin's Imperial Biscotti Break on tap, I just had to visit and drag two fellow drinkers Mina K and Anders A with me. Their tap list was mostly dominated by IPA when we were there this week and only two stouts *sobs* but it was nice of them to put up the ratebeer score on the list so it would spare some beer geeks' time to look it up on their app. Free water by the bar and a nice friendly bartender although the inside could be a bit too dark and bodega-ish to me. Whatever, if they have nice things on tap again, I would brace myself to scoot over Torvehallerne to this place again.

The five stars say it all - it was love at first sight and I hope this relationship will be a long…read morelasting one It was only yesterday that I had the chance to visit this place myself, a place that Mina K and my other friends rambled about that serves BOTH cocktails and beer, how convenient is that since I like them both? *ahem* We arrived a little bit too early yesterday and decided to wait patiently for our booze outside by the bench when the nice bartender invited us in way before the opening hours. She probably got some hunches that we needed alcohol and we needed it now. The pleasant experience didn't end just there, I ordered a cocktail called "Deez Nuts" (no worry, no politics in the ingredients list, just rum, lemon, hazelnuts and eggwhites!) and Mina K ordered Ryan's Apples. We were told to sit down and she would deliver our cocktails (another fine service!) to our table. Since she just opened the place, she lighted some candles to make "hygge" and gave us a bottle of sparkling water to share as well. When the cocktail came, I was floored by the amazing flavour. I had never been a huge fan of rum (I do love me some rum raisin ice cream and mojito, but that's it) but this cocktail was just nice - unfortunately I am not a poet and couldn't describe it in pretty words, but it was very delightful and refreshing to drink. Mina K's cocktail (Ryan's Apple) was very nice too, although I didn't like the cinnamonny taste - but that's just me, I don't like cinnamon that much. Apart from cocktails, they do have some very interesting beer from Mikkeller (duh!) after all, it's a Mikkeller bar. The huge plus side of this place is also the fact that it's walking distance from Nørreport st / Torvehallen. You could get something delicious from Torvehallen and then walk here for some "refreshment" (like we did after the wonderful tacos from Yuca Taco yesterday). It's far more convenient location than Mikkeller in Viktoriagade or the one in Stefansgade.... and it does serve both cocktails and beer, just in case you're not in the mood for the other. A short summary of my long review is: This place serves booze and it makes me happy.

I just didn't know about this one! It's much smaller than the other two and has also the pro of cocktails that the others don't have. The bartender told me they have been open for half a year now but the word apparently hasn't gone so much around. The interior was as the other two bars, and I love that style. A lot of wood and some colours. They had some draft beers and a bunch of interesting cocktails. The bartender was very helpful and nice. He even brought sparkling water to our table! Great service! :) The beer was good, I had the number 5 called three times bitter (xxx bitter). For a cosy evening this place is great. It's just not so visible from the street as there are always parked cars in front of it and it is a little bit under ground.
