I visited Walk-On's in Fishers two days in a row because I enjoyed the food the first time…read more Unfortunately, my second visit for a to-go order was a completely different experience. My pickup time was 4:14 p.m., and I arrived on time. I stood at the front for about 10 minutes while multiple employees walked past without acknowledging me. One employee at the bar looked at me several times but never spoke or let anyone know I was waiting. During that time, another customer walked in and was immediately asked if he needed assistance. I had to speak up and say I'd been waiting to get help. To make matters worse, my order wasn't even ready at the scheduled pickup time. I also noticed another couple come in and wait without being greeted. The manager did apologize and offered complimentary appetizers, which I appreciated, but the overall customer service left such a poor impression that I don't plan to return. The food was good, but good food doesn't make up for being ignored. While I was waiting, another couple came in and wasn't greeted either. They assumed it was self-seating, sat down for a while without anyone acknowledging them, and eventually left. Watching that happen made me realize this wasn't just a one-time issue with my order it seemed like a breakdown in customer service that could easily cost the restaurant business. So, thank you to the manager who was tried to help and thank you to the 2 other ladies that finally came over.

It can get pretty busy, though, so if you're planning to bring a larger group, I'd recommend visiting during non-peak hours. One of our favorite things is their great pricing on buckets of Sun Cruisers, and we love that you can mix and match the flavors instead of being limited to just one. It's a small touch that makes the experience even better. If you order the wings, don't skip the signature sauce. We've become huge fans of it, and it's one of the reasons we keep coming back. Overall, it's a great spot to grab a drink, catch up with friends, and enjoy the patio. Next on our list is trying the giant pretzel, which is served with your choice of queso or mustard. Looking forward to giving that a try on our next visit!

We visited Bubba's for the Hamilton County Tenderloin Trail event. Our service was excellent and…read morethe food was as well. Four of us in our party, all enjoyed the Tenderloin sandwich. My wife had a side salad with hers. I enjoyed and order of their Shotgun Shrimp. The sandwich is very large, I cut mine half and got a full sandwich out of each half. The breading was good, not quite as crispy as some that we've had but it was good. The tenderloin itself had good flavor but had quite a bit of gristle. Serving temp was excellent, not mouth blistering, but not cool or cold like some have been I enjoyed the shotgun shrimp. Very tasty and satisfying. It could have used a little more kick, but my wife thought it was quite spicy so perhaps it was good. I just like it to tickle my mouth a little more. My wife loved her salad, crisp lettuce and the dressing was good Overall, a nice evening. The two things that would have moved my rating up to 5 would have been no gristle in the meat (we've been to 3 other places on this Trail and this was the only one that had gristle) and the background music made it difficult to talk. We left quickly because we couldn't visit comfortably Otherwise, we enjoyed the food, the ambiance was nice and the service excellent

The cutlet was a good size, the appearance was what you'd want, the cutlet far over the bun. Unfortunately it was dry and not particularly flavorful. The accompanying slaw (my preference instead of fries) was fine, as least it provided a counterpoint to the fried pork. But honestly, next time I'm in the area, I'd pass on Bubba's and probably won't be hankering for a pork sandwich again.

Pulling into the packed parking lot on a football Sunday, we were already discussing our backup…read moreplan if the wait was too long. Turns out the entire heated patio is first come, first served, and we were seated almost immediately. It was one of those windy Indiana afternoons where the cold finds every gap in your jacket. I fully expected to spend lunch shivering. Somehow, the heated patio felt warmer than the restaurant itself. Between the TVs, football on every screen, and the patio heaters, we had zero complaints. Now let's talk about the famous pepperoni-stuffed breadsticks. They're a must. And order your own nacho cheese. Seriously. Don't expect anyone to share. I could eat a shoe dipped in their cheese and probably enjoy every bite. The breadsticks always arrive piping hot, stuffed with gooey mozzarella, and if we're judging on a cheese-pull scale...I'm giving them a solid 7/10 on the stretch meter. As for our server, Zach...what a true gem. He's one of those people I'd honestly be surprised to hear anyone say they didn't like. Funny, quick with the jokes, and somehow kept up with the chaos without missing a beat. He also made sure my lemon drop martinis never had a chance to get lonely. Since I wasn't driving, he happily assisted me in...staying hydrated. The place was busy enough that we couldn't stand around chatting long, but he's the kind of person you'd genuinely enjoy running into again. We've been here twice now, and both visits have been consistently great. Whether you're stopping in to catch the game, escape the cold on the heated patio, or simply satisfy a craving for those ridiculously good breadsticks, Ale Emporium continues to be one of our favorite spots. Just don't skip the breadsticks...and trust me, order your own cheese. You'll understand after the first bite.

I went with hermanaki, and while the sauce was good, it wasn't special enough that I would pay an extra $1 for it again. Then, the meat was SO dry. I did see two families get turned away for having kids, so I wonder if the 21+ status for this location could be better advertised since other locations are family friendly.

It's the kind of place where my friends and I can chill, watch sports, and just enjoy ourselves without any of that "upscale" pressure--which is exactly why we love it. Weekends are a blast too. The live music on Fridays and Saturdays always brings a fun energy, and the crowd is usually vibing right along with it. Also--shoutout to discounted billiards on Mondays! That's a winner for us, especially during football season and Monday Night Football. Can't beat a good game, a cold drink, and some pool with the crew. I'm giving it 4 stars--not because anything's missing, but because it's not trying to be flashy or fancy. It's doing exactly what it's meant to do. And honestly, I've had nothing but 5-star nights here (minus the time Notre Dame lost the CFB Championship... but that one's on them, not Britton). Definitely recommend if you're looking for a solid neighborhood hangout.
