Stewie's Garage is easily the worst car repair shop in the Bismarck-Mandan area. They were far more expensive than the place we ended up taking our car. The manager was a rude, mean, extremely pushy, and highly unprofessional person. We wanted an inspection, but they did a diagnostics test. We learned from a professional mechanic all you need is a visual inspection, which is far cheaper. They would not even give us our car back unless we had "a talk" with the owner. No company should make you do this! We then called the police, and then they changed their tune and gave us our car back. Avoid this car shop! read more

The work they did was good and did the best they could to get it done efficiently. Gave me updates on what was going on. I had an exhaust manifold warped on my truck. The parts arrived on time. Something got screwed up on delivery. so I had to wait an extra day for the other part to come they did express shipping, so I didn't have to wait three days. Didn't get done tell late becuase they didn't think the part would be here on time, but picked up the next day and I'm satisfied and they gave me a fair price. read more

Stewie's Garage is a so-called car repair shop. However, a true car repair shop is honest, kind and professional. Stewie's Garage is none of these. We tried taking our car to this "car shop." Instead, we met with a rude manager who said we needed a lot of work done on our car. When we went to another and a better car repair shop, they were honest and told us the truth about our repairs. They said that we did not need all of these repairs, but only some of them. It is very sad how Stewie's Garage treats their customers! We were very disappointed in this car shop, and would not recommend it to anyone. Stewie's Garage tries to get as much money out of their customers as they can. read more

He fixed another mistake of a mechanic which I trusted with my vehicle my starter was replaced and when stewies fixed it he also had to replace the fly wheel which could've been avoided if I just went with someone who knew what they were doing. This is a genuine review. Save yourself time, money and a headache by avoiding the crooks at Stewie's Garage at all costs! I had a very bad experience at this shop. I called to get an inspection and was told it would be about $150 for their diagnostic test. In the end, I decided not to go through with $5,000 worth of repairs they told me I needed. The manager then became irrate and said I was going to have to pay $300 for the inspection, which included 5 hours of his searching for parts. I own a simple Toyota that needed brake work and had a hole in the muffler. However, before I could get my car back, the rude and contentious and manager told me I had to speak with the owner first. I simply said I wanted to pay for the charges and get my car back because there is nothing more to say to these bullies. Thus, I had a local officer attend me. The manager and owner made themselves look really good before the officer. However, the manager was very angry with me at this point and, for no reason, asked the officer to issue a no trespass order against me. In looking over some of the reviews, he's pretty familiar with doing this. I thought it was so strange that this manager had a no trespassing order issued against several of his past customers. It's the same story I had. The customer is falsely accused when in fact the store's manager is an absolute shyster! I assure the officer this is no problem because I would never be back to this wretched place again! The manager also had me to sign a form that had this phrase, "Furthermore customer understands that any Slanders comments made over social media or online will be countered with criminal charges through the state," which the officer said to just sign because otherwise he would take me to court! I guess he's concerned I'm going to tell the truth about him. But no one can take away our right to leave a comment. I wonder why this sham scammy business isn't listed with the Better Business bureau? Hmm. By the way, I brought my car to a reputable shop where I paid much less for repairs and was told many of them Stewie's Garage said I needed were absolutely not needed! Left my wife and 3 year old daughter in an unsafe condition after repairing her car. Spent $1150 and the car was returned with a non functioning airbag, can't operate any of the windows, the horn no longer works, the steering wheel is stuck sideways, the stereo controls on the steering wheel no longer works. My wife said she feels claustrophobic driving her own car and completely unsafe. Stewie dragged his feet for over a month saying he couldn't get the proper part to repair the damage. I asked for a partial refund due to his unworthiness to repair his damage done to my wife's car. After a month of driving this unsafe car, he messaged and said the part no longer exists and that he cannot repair the damage he caused. I would not be receiving any refund for his negligence, then blamed my wife and said that all the broken items had been that way prior to his repair and called my wife a liar. Needless to say he is an unfit mechanic, lacks moral responsibility and refuses to repair damage done while on camera then blames his customers and my wife for his mistake. Don't waste your time or money on this kind of subpar service. read more
