The employee who took our 3 ice cream orders was working on our order when I was having g a conversation with my daughter and waiting when another employee who never addressed myself or anyone in my party approached the register and rudely began calling out "$10.88". I was totally surprised by the lack of acknowledgment and the disrespect in his tone. When I said with him that the other gentleman was helping me he said "you have to pay first and it doesn't matter who rings you out". I took my family out for ice cream on national ice cream day and received such disrespect at the hands of a Stewart's employee. If I could give 0 stars for customer service I truly would! This woman that was cashing me out was completely disrespectful and had no empathy for me or my handicapped dad what so ever. I was with my father who i drove to the store because he is handicap and just recently survived a stoke. He has no use of right arm and with his left arm he has to handle his cane. He was buying alcohol and ice cream so i had to carry everything because he physically can not carry anything with that kind of weight. She started off completely disrespectful and asked for my id which then he continued to pull out his id because he was the one purchasing the drinks. She then went on to say that she can not sell him the alcohol because it is against their policy for me to help my dad carry it out??? I'm not the one they were for. I'm not sure what's up with this Stewarts, but the employees *always* seem unhappy. They cycle through cashiers so regularly I never see the same people, and every time I go in I get the vibe they're just waiting to quit. I always have to wait for a cashier to finish what they're doing to ring me out, even when I'm the only one in the store, which sometimes takes a considerable amount of time. Restocking, talking, paperwork in the back, whatever... *then* I get helped, eventually. I always say "hi" and ask how they're doing... sometimes they mumble back, sometimes there's no response at all. I don't know... I've been going to Stewarts for years, all over NY. I understand their prices are high and they have limited stock... they're a gas station... but this Stewarts, in particular, has a unique staffing problem. I mean, they're not posting ads for people who are depressed; some of them must be okay with the job before they start, but something about how it's run is making them hate it.
