John was out within 24 hours to take a look at it, and the problem was completely resolved within two hours with a call to one of his guys. We will definitely be using Mr. GoodRoof in the future!

We had a project we needed done-- the fascia and soffits sealed around our house as they had become…read moreloose and were allowing wasps entry into the basement--and some research led us to Mr. Goodroof. Nick came out to do an inspection, and in the process of doing so discovered some issues with our pipes and vents on the roof, some items that pictures made clear could quickly lead to serious damage if the wrong winds/rain came through. He showed us a detailed video of the inspection, then offered multiple quotes based on what approach we wanted to take. I appreciated how thorough and how efficient he was-- I've been in situations where at this point in the review an agent for a major company will only offer you the highest possible quotes and make them sound like an emergency and basically take as long as they can in your house to wear you down in hopes that you'll agree to the sell. Nick and Mr. Goodroof did NOT do this and this instantly won us over. We actually opted for a combination of two of the quotes/plans of action he presented, and he worked up a new quote for that. They offered a variety of payment options, including a 12 months same as cash option that you can apply for and access on your phone quickly. We scheduled the service and they had a crew out in less than a week to get the job done. They worked quickly and efficiently. There was some miscommunication on the quotes, plan of action, and updated responses (like the finished report detailing the work done, particularly important for us as the day of the work the approach shifted somewhat and we just wanted to understand why). We never doubted the quality of the work, but due to being burned in the past by other companies, had some reservations. We voiced those complaints and Nick + others at the company got back to us to go over and explain the situation. They explained the reason for the changes, the delayed updates (some due to automation processes on billing etc.), and sent out the crew + Nick (at a 3rd date) to do a final inspection and report. I'm going a "4" which in my book is "great". The price we paid for the work that was done was fair, the work was quality, and both the sell and final report were handled perfectly. Due to some confusion and crossed wires (that took about a week or so of going back and forth) that hindered my enthusiasm of the project briefly in the interim, I'm docking just the one star that would make this a "perfect" experience. I fully intend to use these folks again for some other tasks next year and I have every expectation that they'll bump up to a full "5" at that point ("perfect").

We had Simply Gutters install buried drainage from our downspouts to help prevent water seeping…read moreinto our basement. They were nearly twice the price of another quote we received. We decided to go with Simply Gutters partially because we've had bad experiences with the lowest bidder, but also because there was some very minor damage caused when coming out to give a quote and it was owned up to and fixed quickly. When they came to do the job, there were clear communication issues. The workers were not following the plan that had been discussed even the same morning. We had to babysit them every step of the way and get them to redo many things that were not what we wanted. After the job was done, there was no inspection by a project manager, it was just done. We found that the drains were not flowing freely. They ended up coming and using a pressure washer to clear the pipes. There had been an offhand comment about not knowing that the PVC connectors were installed the correct direction. This led me to dig and find that they were installed backwards. Simply Gutters agreed to come out and replace them. The worker who came out seemed to really struggle with the job, and took a lot of shortcuts. He tried to not glue anything and lied to my face when I told him it wasn't glued. He broke a part and tried to reinstall the same part that was installed wrong. He again lied to me by saying that he didn't know he was supposed to fix that one. This continued for some time and he ended up causing new problems during this repair. I documented all of the many problems that we had with the work that was done and provided it to the owner of the company as feedback, expressing my frustration, and saying I was tempted to dig things up and fix it myself. I got no response, so I followed up over a week later. The response included "I can't change it now". I took this as him not wanting to make it right. I began fixing things myself, only to find many more problems. In most areas, the pipes were angled significantly uphill. There were buried connections that were not even together, leading to leaks. At the end of all of it, I estimate I put in 40 hours of work, $300 in materials, and dug about 90 feet of trench.Through this process, I continued communication with the owner, requesting a refund. On 12/9/2025 he said that he would send a check to cover MY labor, and said he was putting it in the mail on 12/19/2025. As of 1/10/2026, I have not received any form of refund. Also, in the email on 12/19/2025, the owner included the statement "Thank you for another update that's explaining the same thing that the last 15 emails said." This was received after I spent the whole day (of my vacation, no less), digging and fixing their mess in below freezing temperatures. The snark was really not appreciated. This was the last time I received any response A Better Business Bureau complaint was filed on 1/18/2026. It was closed on 2/14/2026 due to no response from the business. Their website falsely advertises that they are BBB accredited. This is a company that is completely incompetent at doing this kind of work, even though they charge a price that implies that they are experts. We had several problems with our gutters. They were undersized, pulled away from the fascia board…read moreallowing water to get behind and rot the wood, gutter guards were pulled up by squirrels who were living in the gutters. Simply Gutters responded quickly, gave us a competitive estimate and scheduled the work to be done promptly.
