I love my doctor. I have been his patient for over 25 years and he is phenomenal!! Unfortunately, the practice he works for incompetent and sorely lacking. They very rarely answer the phone and you forget them calling you back if you leave message. There is no one to talk to who can ownership of addressing patient needs and issues; you only get the runaround. Very disappointing that with all the issues Osler had, they ran circles around Steward in customer service. While my doctor is great if you can't get RX refills or new meds because the RX is submitted properly it doesn't do much to stay at an incompetent practice. read more

ZERO stars to a doctors office that does not answer the phone or return calls to surgery recovering patients with serious health concerns and is forced to go to the office to get "help" only to catch Covid at the office on top of recovery. Do your research about this medical facility before making a very serious health decision. read more

This is my second time coming here and it's always been quick and efficient. I absolutely love the guy that has to draw my labs . He's fast and gets it done with little pain . Of course the key is to always drink lots of water. The front desk staff are always helpful when I needed a question answered . read more

I was pleasantly surprised this morning when I received a follow-up call to make an appointment to see Dr. Lombardo regarding my shoulder. The young lady's name is Jayda. Her phone voice is remarkable. She is very thorough, kind and very professional. We need more "Jayda's" in the world when making Dr appointments because then it would be so "oh gosh, I have to call and go see this Dr" phone call. Thank you Jayda for making my morning and thank you Steward Group for hiring such a very professional young lady. read more

Been a patient at Dr. Slomin's office nearly 20 years. Now with Steward Medical Group. My last visit 11/23 Dr. Slomin prescribed Mounjaro due to my health and comorbidities age 67 pre- diabetic, hypertension, high cholesterol, heart disease, Afib etc. My insurance denied my prescription for the medication. I was told in 12/23 they would send the appeal papers to Dr. Slomin's office and documentation with a medical necessity form needs to be signed by doctor. After dealing with office staff and calling since Friday. Finally today Tuesday 1/9/24. I am informed my doctor is not signing any appeal forms and is retiring. In addition, I was told my insurance won't cover the medication unless I am diabetic. I asked If another doctor could sign the appeal form and they said no. Dr. Slomin is not signing any appeals. My new doctor would have to handle any further care. In closing the medical staff does not determine medication eligibility and I have a right to appeal the decision. Since I have no doctor now to help me with the appeal. I must wait until March 19th for a new primary care doctor. I told the staff to cancel my 1/31/24 appointment. After nearly 20 years with Dr. Slomin. I was just given the dust off by the office staff. Horrible office staff leave messages have to call back numerous times before office responds. I will never ever seek any further treatment from Steward Medical Group. Patients BEWARE. read more

If I could give less than one I would. An absolutely horrendous experience. They didn't bother to make sure you understood why you were there and what procedures and how it's going to take place. Never saw the surgeon the day of the accident. Saw him for a few minutes before the surgery the next day. Considering I'd never really had an accident. I didn't know what to expect as I was somewhat in a State of shock. What a sloppy hospital. After I was ticked out of there because I wouldn't take their narcotics in less than 24 hours after the surgery. I went to Sea pines which was an incredible experience. But anyway after that I never saw the surgeon. Only saw the same PA twice. Showed up when there was no appointment. And extremely disrespectful and inexcusable long wait. I would rather have a hemorrhidectomy without anesthesia than to ever find myself in that hospital or with one of their doctors read more

Waiting 2 hours in Dr. Sands office. These doctors don't give a shit about us as patients. Just a factory, people constantly coming in and few leave. Ridiculous! I'd give them a negative rating if I could. read more

Absolutely one of the most unprofessional offices I have ever dealt with. I walked in to make an appointment, I received papers to fill out before coming to the appointment. The appointment was for 1:30 pm. I was sent a text and I confirmed that I would be there at 1:30 pm. Less than 24 hours till the appointment I get a call to confirm the appointment, that they claim I did not confirm and I was to arrive 30 minutes earlier. This was at 4:30, they closed at 5 pm. So I called and said I did in fact confirm the 1:30 pm appointment and I could not simply change my work schedule to overcome their inability to let me know in advance to be there 30 minutes before the appointment. I ended speaking to a very unprofessional NURSE, who only identified herself as NURSE. She berated me over and over. She said I would be disallowed to go to the office of Dr. Atkinson. I'd like to say a heartfelt THANK YOU! If a nurse is that abusive over the phone I can only imangine how much more abuse I would have to endure in person. I gave this office 72 hours to respond. They never did! They are not professional and if a loved one is going there I strongly recommend you go with them as a witness to the abusive nature of this Steward Medical Group. I quit Steward Medical Group due to the ineptness of the administrators for the pathology group. They miscoded a procedure I had for a pacemaker which should have been covered under the pacemaker surgery. I now have Health First as my cardiologist. Make no mistake the doctors at Steward Medical Group are outstanding but the pathology and administration are the worst, therefore I would not recommend Steward Medical Group. I spent 6 months trying to get a $47.00 charge reversed that should have been associated with my pacemaker surgery. I made the mistake of paying it and spent at least 4 hours trying to get Steward Medical Group to recode the lab work to the proper coding to no avail. Steward Medical Group lost me as a customer/patient over $47.00. Please beware! read more

Trash business. Stay away. My wife has no insurance and pays in full every time she has any appointment anywhere. Yet they still send bills of payments due. When my wife went back for a stress test and to resolve the payment issue, it took a lot of arguing and having to get the doctor out there. They treated my wife like she was the one in the wrong, when they were just blatantly incompetent apparently. In the end, they agreed that she owed nothing but would not give her anything in writing. She told them to cancel the stress test, because she's done doing business with them and her stress at that point would be off the charts. So they said they submitted what they needed to make it right with billing. Received another bill. My wife had to call billing and tell them the whole story. At which point they agreed that was wrong to put her through all that. And that the doctor's office didn't submit anything to correct the payment issue. They went through everything and found that they overcharged her and they owe us money now. The check is in the mail. Absolutely atrocious business. Go in for a regular test and get billed after paying in full in person, then having to cancel the next appointment for a stress test as they just cause stress. That should be illegal, I believe they could even be held liable had she taken the stress test then and been misdiagnosed because her stress would have been off the charts at the time, due to the completely unprofessional behavior of this doctor's office. Every time I've been to the office, the wait has been very short. The doctors are easy to talk with and listen to me. I like to combine herbal and nontraditional remedies with traditional medicine, and I feel respected for my choices. I had a very easy time getting started with the practice although it did take a few weeks to get the first appointment. All in all, I find it to be a good environment for healthcare. read more
