I was originally scheduled for doctor with Health First with 6 week wait for an appointment. I helped a close friend to visit Dr Koretsky then I asked my primary care physician for a new referral to Dr Koretsky who saw me within weeks and scheduled my procedure also within a few weeks. Leaving this office. Why? They were to call me to schedule my colonoscopy and never did. Now I am trying to get my records to transfer. When I call there, every option on their phone 1thru 5, no one picks up. After 40 min of trying to get a person they answer only to transfer me to a person who before never picked up and still did not. Then I call right back and the girl hangs up on me saying my phone dropped. No, you hung up because I am upset no one answers your phones. Then she tries to tell me "This is our busy season and we are short staffed" and asks me to call back!! Are you kidding me? No. I had to leave my number and wait. If you're so busy, then this doctor is making the bucks enough to hire enough people and pay them well. Perfect example of crappy customer service and poor healthcare. Please trust me when I say this office is an absolute waste of time. Today was my second visit. First visit I waited for an hour before I was even brought back. I've been seeing Dr Koretsky for over 20 years! He is a wonderful n caring dr. He listened to all my complaints and discussed everything we should do! I love his staff from the receptionist to the scheduler. I know if I have a problem I can call and get in as soon as I can. His office hours are great. I have been a patient of this practice for many years. If you are looking for a practice that truly cares about their patients and provides outstanding customer service, then look no further. I would like to specifically commend "Gina" from the office staff. I had an unusual case with an insurance denial for a scheduled procedure. Gina took over my case and spent hours upon hours advocating for me through multiple channels within the bureaucratic structure of insurance. She stayed on my case with absolute focus and determination to ensure that I would not be denied this critical procedure. She is amazing to work with, truly cares about patients, and should be recognized for her service above and beyond what I could have asked for. read more

Dr. Koretsky is AMAZING!! He was determined to help diagnose and treat my husbands rare condition and never gave up. When my husband went to the ER he was blown off but when he saw DR. K he gave him the attention and care that was needed. Once he was admitted he came to the hospital everyday to see him and even called him when he could not. His love and compassion for what he does is amazing. He made us so comfortable and hopeful as we were going through a very tough time trying to get him better while not knowing if he would. Dr. K listened to us and he also didn't shy from the advice from his colleagues, he was willing to do whatever to took to help and he did just that. My husband is back 100% and we have him and HRMC to thank for that. He will always hold a special place in our hearts. read more

Had my third colonoscopy (first with this referred doctor). From consultation to procedure I interacted with 14 different people (really?). This combined with a non user friendly patient portal and vague texting made this a very stressful experience. Found out this prima donna doesn't take procedure appointments before 10a.m., resulting in prep at 3 a.m. I arrived at Surgery Center at 9:15 for a 10:30 procedure. Was called back at 10:18 and laid in a bed until 11:05 enduring the noises and post op discussions with numerous patients. I will never use this doctor again and hope this info will help others make another choice. read more

Not worth my time! YOU want more details before I can post my review! Okay - I received 4 reminders of my 3pm appointment and responded to all of the requests, yet this doctor did not provide me the same courtesy. A follow up appointment was made about 9 weeks from now. The ARNP recommended I log in to their portal. I had to chuckle at this point. My husband and I have been seeing Dr. Koretsky for 14 years. He is the best gastroenterologist we have ever been to visit. He is prudent and methodical, and he knows his stuff backward and forward. He has helped both my husband and I with some very painful stomach issues. And as a surgeon, he is top-notch. Most of all, he is very kind--the perfect bedside manner. Was scheduled for a procedure twice. Both times he cancelled a week before. Scheduling a procedure is complete inconsideration. Never can get Karen in the phone and never get a return call back. The entire office could cate less. read more

The wait time for each office visit has been over 1hr 15mins for which only his unprofessional and unsympathetic nurse practitioner Jill Polet will grace you with her impersonal presence. If you require an endoscopy, they want you to show up an hour prior to your scheduled procedure. You will wait for about 3hrs while everyone before you goes in after their 3hr wait. The Melbourne Surgery Center appears to schedule as many people as possible, and bust them out one after the other, no pun intended. Before my procedure I did get to speak with Dr. Koretsky, who was polite. Afterwards, he appeared to be more focused on doing the next procedure as he kept stepping away while telling me to make a follow up appointment with this nurse practitioner Polet. At the next appointment, I was disappointed to hear that something was not done during my endoscopy, although information given in my first visit would have prompted it to be done. When Polet asked if the Dr. went over that with me, I said no and gave the reason why. Although she was not there and probably is never there, she used the "In my years working with him, he has never happened." Well, she was not there and it happened and there are other review to show. Instead of listening, Jill Polet decided to argue and attempted to belittle me in regards to her advanced degree. At the end when I revisited that issue, she stated, "If you do this for 30yrs, you'd be this way too." It does not take a career to create a cantankerous person in a cozy office job. Perhaps it's time to retire if you can't treat people with respect. Listening: One of the fundamental parts of nursing; also a simple human task. You don't need a degree for that. Even us simple folk can do it. And because she did not like that someone confronted her, I received a letter to discontinue service, which saved me a phone call.
