ABSOLUTELY SUPERB JOB FROM BIG RON'S TREE SERVICE - MIAMI - Owner Big Ron and his team really came through for me this week with a HUGE problem - a blocked sewer pipe that needed to be fixed URGENTLY. Roots from a 40-year old tree had crushed the pipe. I called Big Ron Monday morning on March 25th - they came out within the hour, gave me an estimate, and then outbid 2 other competitors that also gave me estimates AND Big Ron scheduled to do the job the FOLLOWING MORNING at 8:00 A.M. Big Ron's team removed all 3 trees, hauled the debris away, grinded the stumps and cleaned up everything - job completed in 2 hours!! Since I was concerned there may be more roots deeper underground, Big Ron sent out his stump grinder guy back the next day (Wednesday) at 7:00 AM to meet the plumber and make sure enough roots had been removed for the plumber to access and replace the pipe and he ground out more roots at the plumber's request. After plumber had been digging a couple of hours, he uncovered more huge roots deeper down that he couldn't handle, so I called Big Ron AGAIN and he sent out ANOTHER stump grinder who arrived within 45 minutes with a different machine that could grind deeper in the ground. ALL THIS AT NO EXTRA CHARGE. This is a company that cares about customer satisfaction and professionally handles unanticipated problems that may arise - BIG RON ROCKS!! This company has huge powerful machines and their entire team couldn't have been more cooperative and courteous, and they were so careful not to damage too many plants which I really appreciated since I have a butterfly garden with some pretty rare plants. If you need a great job done quickly and professionally with the latest and greatest equipment - call Big Ron for your next landscaping project.

My Search Started to come up with Bayamito & Sons. Michael the Owner came out to do the Assessment with a Coconut Removal Quote and a Whole Tree Removal Quote. Since the Coconuts were Straight Over our Roof and Falling we decided the Removal was right decision. They Guaranteed Full Stump Removal and since the Job was being done right before Bulk Trash we saved on "Tree Removable Take-Away". While in the Process of Removing the Coconut Palm we decided to take out a couple of Rotting Palms on Property as they were Slowly on a Disintegrating Process. The Guarantee was to have ALL Stumps Removed as we Explained we will be Re-Planting in the Removed Areas. The Coconut Tree was taken down, piece by piece.. The Palm were Removed.. BUT the Stumps still Remained in All Areas. After "Removal" it was a Huge Struggle to Replant as the Stumps were Clearly still there. Extra ExTRa Work to Fully Remove.. Also, while picking-up items around the Yard the BobCat Broke one of our Sprinkler Lines. Left for us to deal with the Aftermath.. After all said and done, not the Best Experience but the Job got Done atleast with the Tree Removal.

When he arrived, he was professional and did the job efficiently. He even cleaned up the area afterwards and didn't damage the surrounding area. After months of searching for a company (or various companies or individuals) to undertake a…read morecomplete backyard overhaul, we settled on Anderson Landscaping. The scope of the project included a brand new fence around the entire perimeter of the house, the addition of two new fence doors (for a total of four new fence doors), removal of a fair sized existing concrete slab, paver installation, crushed granite installation along both sides of the house, and finally laying new sod and planting shrubs and trees. Before Anderson Landscaping came to our attention, we had been unable to find a company who did it all. We tried to separately coordinate fence people, with paver people, with landscaping people, all to no avail. Sadly, in Miami, the concept of customer service is lost on most of these tradespeople. But not on Anderson Landscaping! Previous to Anderson Landscaping we had dealt with people or companies who either didn't return initial inquiry calls, or made the site visit and said they would quote and never did, or quoted and then disappeared when we wanted to engage them with the work. If you're looking for a company that does it all, and does it professionally, within budget, and on time, then don't waste your time or look any further. Just call Tod Anderson and thank me later. From day one, up until weeks after the project was completed and we had follow-up questions, Tod was courteous, professional, and prompt in all our dealings with him. If he didn't answer our calls right away, he would call back within a couple of hours, if not sooner. We always felt like we knew exactly where we stood with him, and we were always confident about a successful outcome to our project. Months before the start of the project, he had provided us with an estimated start date, and continually updated us on it, and ultimately started EARLIER than projected. His crew are also all very competent and professional, and worked diligently and completed the entire project in around 10 business days. They were on site every single weekday during the two week term of the project. It's been almost a month and a half since they completed the work and we couldn't be happier with the results. Tod and his crew transformed what was previously an unusable, barren wasteland into a lush garden oasis that we now look forward to stepping out into. The before and after photos should speak for themselves.

Todd did a first project for me billed at $7,000. His crew was on time and finished in one day,…read morealthough prices were high. His $1,500 design fee (credited to the job) only got me generic ideas, like fishtail palms everywhere and a $5,000 fountain, for a modern new build with a large atrium. Both design visits lasted 15-30 minutes and felt rushed. I ended up designing it myself. For a 2nd job, a stone path, Todd asked for a $2,000 deposit just to bring samples, promising it would go toward other work if nothing worked. None of the samples worked (too cheap looking for a $1.6mm modern home) and nothing was approved. I have screenshots of me still sending path ideas, and his team dropping off more samples, after I paid. I bought stone myself for $1,300. Todd quoted over $5,000 to install it. Another contractor did it for $1,300. I then asked to use the deposit to have his crew plant the plants I bought, knowing $2,000 was far more than the work was worth. He refused and said his minimum to come to my house (located near Brickell) was $3,400. Someone else planted everything plus extra work for $900. Todd has so far refused to refund the deposit. As a business owner myself, I'm appalled. Todd's pricing: Mondo grass: $13 each installed ($3 in store) Palms: $450 each, quoted at 6-8 ft, installed at 4-5 ft ($75 in store) Japanese blueberry: $800 each ($275 in store) Buttonwood tree: $1,200. Another landscaper did it for $220, tree included. My recommendation: Use AI for your design. Take pictures of your house and note how much sun each area gets, then check your plant choices with the nurseries south of Miami and order from them (delivery is about $75). Finally, find a landscaper on Facebook Marketplace who will work hourly. I paid mine $40 an hour, which came to $700 plus a $200 tip. For me, Todd's quotes were 3 to 5 times higher than doing it this way. I will update this review if any of the deposit is refunded.
