eggplant parmigiana
KC C.

I've always passed this place for years, but never stopped because it's on a very busy road (or cars are moving at a fast pace). Now really regret that. Stopped in for a few slices (sausage and pepperoni) and was surprised to find they have a thin, maybe thin-medium, crust. Another time, got the eggplant parm and godfather sub, which was so large that after splitting between the family, we still didn't finish. One thing to note is that they gave us real plates, along with some salad. Inside is a standard pizzeria setup and I don't know any of them, but they seem to run like a family business. Definitely plan on going back anytime I head to Belleayre.

Grabbed some boneless wings at Steve's Pizza and Deli. Big chunks of white meat. Steve said never frozen and breaded in house. I am more of a bone in guy myself but these will do the trick. I'll take a pile of anything deep fried and covered in hot sauce and blue cheese.

Amazing place had a pepperoni slice and ordered a salami and provolone sandwich and this is what I got I'm in shock

Italian Mixed Sub
Lance C.

First time at Steve's. The pizza was good, classic New York style, salty and greasy! The subs are humongous, and will definitely last a few meals. Service seemed standard. The place itself is small, with a few indoor tables and a nice patio, despite its roadside location. My entire family enjoyed their music playlist quite a bit! Will be coming back.

New to town, we've given them 2 chances and the pizza is bland and flavorless. Lots of other options.

Burnt pizza and sub, barely edible and rude customer service. I will never order any food from here again. Zero stars.

Our mixed greens salad was excellent. We ordered a Margherita pizza with half a side of sausage. It was about the right amount for myself and my daughter to share. It was pretty good, thin crust, good dough. Could have had bit more char on the crust and base to help hold everything together as it was a bit too wet. I saw a reviewer here say it was as good or better than new haven pizza but having grown up in the next town over from new haven, I will say that this is better than average pizza but not really close to new haven-level. Go here if you are in the mood for pizza and are nearby.

The pizzeria is nestled at the end of a cobblestone path with many small shops around it. It also has outdoor sitting. We were seated immediately and we were offered the best crusted bread with some oil to deep. The kids and my mom wanted more! We ordered the Mediterranean salad ($17) the Cesar ($17) and three margaritas (26). It was 5 of us and we devoured the salads. They were delicious and perfectly seasoned. The pizzas were probably one of the best I had! The sauce was sweet, the cheese was a combination of fresh and grated mozzarella which I liked that since it covered the whole pie. The dough was the highlight of the pizza. Crusty and chewy at the same time!!

Small tasting room with wooden tables and benches, high ceilings and lots of natural light on the all white walls. 8 beers on tap. They don't do flights but will do half pours. Between my girlfriend and I, we tried most of the menu. To me the two standouts were the Schwarzbier (4.9% black lager) and the Co+lab (4.2% English ESB). Both were smooth and flavorful with a slight lingering bitterness. Low ABV makes them both quite quaffable, as they describe one of their other beers. We're from NJ where breweries are only allowed to serve the beer they brew on site and nothing else, so seeing food, wine, and cocktails on the menu was a novelty for us. We didn't try anything besides the beer, but there were some impressive offerings including a penicillin cocktail, and Knackwurst, oysters, and a variety of pizza. Overall a cool spot that we would definitely come back to if we're in the area again.

The brewing equipment was right out in the open, behind the ordering counter, and there were a good deal of wooden tables in the front. The high ceilings and white walls really opened up the place and its brightness made for a festive atmosphere. The staff was very nice and clearly passionate about the business. After a few small tastes of the beers on tap, we each settled on a pint. My favorites were the Marzen, which was like a light and crisp Oktoberfest, and the Rauchbier, which possessed an unique smokiness. We also shared a soft Pretzel, which was the best we had ever had! Its sourdough interior was made from a locally-sourced flour, and its exterior had a rich, brew-inspired coating. It was served with a creamy, salted butter that was divine. We did not try one of their many creative pizzas that had been cooked in their stone oven, but they looked and smelled spectacular! Kingston Standard was an amazing brewery with great beers and delicious food.

I tried a few different slices, and here's the rundown: the Roni Cups slice hits the mark with crispy, cupped pepperonis that have that perfect little crunch. It's not reinventing the wheel, but it's definitely satisfying. The Vodka slice is creamy and rich--kind of like pizza's version of comfort food--but not so mind-blowing that you'll be telling your grandkids about it. The White slice is pretty straightforward, with cheese and garlic doing their thing--definitely not bad, but also not something you'll cry over in joy. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and the interior is so clean you might think it's a showroom for dish soap. Plus, the 90s hip-hop blaring through the speakers just adds to the chill, nostalgic vibe. So, while the pizza might not be the greatest slice of your life, it's far from the worst, and the whole experience is definitely worth it. Stop in and carb out!
