The front office personal were nice…read more It was time for my brake and brake pads to be replaced, and I knew that. Great. Thanks. A mechanic (that didn't work on my truck) informed me that my front light was aftermarket from another fix years ago. Thanks buddy! The mechanic that worked on my truck, however, failed to inform me of that, or give me the time of day when I wanted to discuss my truck. The above were the few nice things, and the only very few nice things end there. I have never had so many lights go on, on my truck, since my truck was "serviced" at this shop. But I assure you, I will not be taking my truck back here ever again for these reasons, and I suggest you go elsewhere as well, if you are able. The entire process took OVER 13 hours of my time - even with a specified appointment time! And if I weren't in the mountains, I guarantee I could find an EXTREMELY better price (and A LOT LESS OF MY TIME WAITING!). Additionally, after I drove away, I found out they HADN'T addressed my front headlight issue, which I specifically brought up THREE TIMES, for them to do. (It wasn't out - the wires just needed reattached as they had gotten loose). I had to drive BACK for them to do so! The icing on the cake, ladies and gentlemen - since I drove away from their shop, I've had tire pressure lights on multiple tires go on (never once since I owned the truck has that happened, and there is nothing wrong with my tire pressure), ABS sensor light has come on, and random ass other lights have come on. And the issue for which I originally brought my truck in, was never addressed, because the mechanic would not listen to me. As you all know, us women, we know nothing, RIGHT?!?!? *EYE ROLL* Will I be taking my truck back to this hell hole, and waste of precious time and money? Nope. Save yourself, your time, and your money, and if you can, go elsewhere. TOODLES! (IF YOU WANT TO MAKE THIS RIGHT, CASHIER'S SERVICE CENTER, YOU CAN FIX THESE ISSUES ON YOUR OWN DIME, ON MY TIME SCHEDULE.)

We had a truck wreck because of an incompetent driver in a car running a red light in Marble NC in…read moreAugust 2024. Our truck was totaled but our new trailer was fine. The state trooper that was at the accident said that we would not be able to take our trailer back to our yard and that the towing company would have to take it. We argued and said that we could take it because it was not damaged, and we had brought another semi to take it home with. He would not let us and said we would need to call a towing company to get our truck and trailer. So, we called our towing company to come pick it up for us and the State Trooper said to cancel it, that he had just called another towing company. Which happened to be A Automotive and Truck. They have been down our throats since the accident about coming to get our trailer, even though it is out of our hands now and in the hands of insurance. They have harassed us AND insurance over the phone. Lloyd does not understand that insurance takes time to go through and cannot just throw out money to people and companies. He has yelled over the phone to us and charged our driver $450 to come onto the premises DURING HOURS. They have also charged us $400 per day for every day that the truck and trailer is there. Which is really high compared to most towing companies that charge between $100-$200 per day. The bill for our totaled truck right now is about $12,000 and our trailer tow bill is about $13,000. Which is crazy because the trailer wasn't even damaged. Overall A Automotive and Truck have been terrible to deal with and I would not recommend them to ANYONE that has a wreck because they will harass you and overcharge you.

We called Good Sam Club and AAA and neither of them "could help". Finally Good Sam gave us a number to a gentleman who they said they couldn't get ahold of. I called and he answered immediately. He came to us and said he'd go grab a tire and come back. Mind you, this was a Sunday and it was in the middle of thunderstorm...and he was closed! He fixed us up, filled up all our other tires, and sent us on our way. That's after Good Sam and AAA kept us waiting hours! Thank you, Lloyd for being our answer to prayer!

I wouldn't have responded but since you did, let me address your 'discrepancies'…read more 1. I realize the picture is not of the console; it's the left panel adjacent to it which MUST BE REMOVED to take the console out. Both left and right panels need to be taken off as I watched a tech from another company do the job correctly after you refused to come by and fix the shoddy work after more than a month of promises to do so. I have included the way it looks now after this company put it back together. They said you put things back together in the WRONG ORDER which is why there was a gap. Additionally you only put a few screws in (the minimum) to hold things together and left the console cigarette lighter disconnected, so they fixed that as well. I've also attached a picture of the hairpin clip they used to fix it which has held up just fine. They actually ordered the clip from the manufacturer but because I had been waiting so long for you to come by and fix it they put this temporary clip on it. They have offered to replace it with the real part for no extra charge but after looking at their solution I believe it will hold up just fine, unlike the one you installed which FELL OFF AFTER ONE DAY and TWO SHORT DRIVES. 2. You certainly did promise to come by and repair the issue for more than a month (originally you estimated at most a week or so). But how long is a customer supposed to wait? I think a month is not acceptable by anyone's standards and after A FULL MONTH went by I got another company to take of it because I couldn't wait forever. Despite all the shoddy workmanship, this is by far the worst part of your business. I understand new customers haven't paid yet so you are interested in doing new work and getting paid while I have already paid you, but I submit to you that reputable businesses take care of unfinished business FIRST. If you don't believe this is true I suggest you take a course in BUSINESS 101. 3. I signed no such waiver before work began. The only thing I signed was the invoice showing the work had been completed. If you had any problems with "self-diagnosed" repair work, why did you accept the job in the first place? And by the way, since my diagnosis was proven to be correct (the original clip was missing, so there was no link between the gear shift lever and the transmission cable), why is this a problem? You had a chance to see that this was indeed the problem before you started the repair, and after it was complete, the transmission was able to be shifted again so it WAS clearly the problem. The real problem was the quality of your repair which only lasted a day. Since the other company put a quality clip on, the car hasn't had any further problems which further demonstrates IT WAS THE PROBLEM. So because I guessed what the problem was, and you confirmed it once you saw it, there is no guarantee on your repair work holding up? That sounds like one big, fat BOGUS excuse for not doing your job correctly. 4. I sent no threatening email. I simply stated that if you weren't going to return to properly fix what I paid for (it had been a whole month of empty promises at this point) or return my money that I was going to post a report online and send a complaint to the BBB. I even told you this was not a threat. I just told you what I was going to do and in fact I did what I said I was going to do. I gave you many outs and all you had to do is live up to your commitments or return my money. You chose to do neither, so here we are. The ownership of the car has not changed in years. My insurance company requires me to be listed as a co-owner in order for my mother's car to be on my insurance. I also help pay the registration for her and take care of maintenance for her so it's convenient. But the car belongs to my mother and always has. She would have enjoyed her stay a lot more if she had a working vehicle when she arrived, thanks (deflect much?). I have already had the car repaired by a reputable mechanic and no, I won't let you come within 20 feet of any of my vehicles after this experience. I have dealt with many auto repair shops, both good and bad, but this is easily the worst I've ever dealt with. By the way, I noticed that your company Facebook page talks about people you've never done work for lying about you? Why would that be? Why would someone that you've never done repair work for make up things about you? You can't be talking about me because this was posted days before I posted my YELP report. After dealing with you, I may have a clue as to why this is. To anyone reading this, does this sound like the web page of a reputable mechanic?
