Steve's Iron was great as you can see in my before and after picture of my white then black gate. The 1971 original gate was completely rusted though on the bottom left so Steve replaced that area with 1x1 iron so well you can't even see where the join is. He spent 3 hours sanding 45 years worth of rust and peeling white paint off the double gate and repainted it black. Very happy with the result and the fair price ($725) for repairing a double gate with 45 years worth of neglect. Quick turn around - he picked the gate up on Wed and reinstalled it on Monday. read more

I called Steve about a year ago to come out and repair a gate track that was clanking. He was great! Prompt, fair price and the work seemed solid. For whatever reason a few months later the gate track started to come loose and would clank again every time a car passed over it. Unfortunately I was caught in the middle of way too much going on both personally and professionally so I put off calling him to fix it. Finally about 9 months later I picked up the phone. Steve and I didn't see the issue the same way. He believed that the concrete or wall had shifted causing the track to move and I felt like the job could have been done differently and the issue wouldn't have come back.
