After…read morethe technician (Eliot) left, I discovered that three of the four blinds upstairs were no longer functioning correctly. One roller blind with a bead string was snapped, one blind was stuck in the all the way up position and would not lower, and a third would open and close very crookedly. I contacted them and they sent out a manager (Kyle) to look at the blinds. He was able to fix the one that was stuck all the way up and wouldn't release, and he agreed it was caused by pulling the blinds up too far/hard. He was unable to repair the other two blinds, but said that they would send a blind repair specialist. After almost two weeks, there was finally availability in his schedule and he was supposed to arrive between 8-10AM to fix the blinds on the same morning that the house was being photographed for the real estate listing at 11AM. He no showed the appointment and after I called at 10:15 to inquire about his ETA, I was told it was due to a truck breaking down, even though this was not communicated with me. Eventually I spoke with the specialist and by the time he could arrive it would have overlapped with the photography appointment. At this point he also told me for the first time that he would not be fixing the blinds on-site, but instead they need to be taken down and brought back to their warehouse for repair and that they should have brought them in for repair two weeks prior when the issue was first flagged. At that point I couldn't have him take the blinds because it was Wednesday and the house was being listed the next day with open houses scheduled that weekend. The plan was made for him to pick up the blinds the following Monday morning, to repair and return them before the next weekend's open houses. On Monday morning I received a call from a manager that said they no longer thought they were responsible for breaking the blinds and that they were already broken before they got there. They later admitted that they did open one blind that was stuck and wouldn't release, but that they never touched the other blinds and that they were open when they got there. This is untrue, if I had prepared for the visit by opening the blinds, I would have done that for all rooms. What happened was that they came on time at 8 AM, I met Eliot and said please start upstairs, I am going outside to power wash the patio since I didn't want to get water spots on the patio door or windows after they were cleaned. It was only a few hours after he left that I went upstairs to lower the blinds and saw that 3/4 no longer worked properly. So to summarize, Squeaky Clean's position is that I waited until right before selling my house to try and trick a window cleaning company into fixing my two broken blinds, and that they did coincidentally happen to break a third one while there, that they did manage to repair, but take no responsibility for the other two. So now I am out $1000 because of $250 worth of window cleaning services and it is all happening while we have the added stress of showing our house to potential buyers. The takeaway, should you choose to do business with this company (you shouldn't), make sure to document, ideally by video the day of the service, that your blinds are in good working order. You should also supervise them while they work, and immediately check the condition of all blinds before they leave. You need to approach this like you are going to have to prove your case in front of a jury of your peers. --OR -- You could just go with a different company that isn't run by a bunch of lying crooks. Choose wisely.

She was always honest, professional, respectful, and straightforward. Out of respect for her and the reputation she built, I decided to contact this company again despite concerns I had from previous work they performed at my home. One of those concerns involved a prior job where roof tiles were damaged while work was being performed around my solar panels. That experience already made me hesitant to hire them again. When I recently contacted the company, I specifically requested an estimate for pressure washing. That was the primary reason for my call. I also mentioned that I might have a limited number of living room windows cleaned. I was very specific. I never requested a quote for washing every window in my house, and I never expressed interest in a full-house window cleaning service. Despite that, during the first visit, one of their representatives began walking around my property counting windows and discussing a full-house window cleaning. I never gave permission for someone to walk around my property counting every window, nor did I ask for an estimate on all of them. Shortly afterward, I began receiving communications focused on full-house window cleaning even though that was never the service I requested. The reason I was not interested in having all of my windows cleaned was based on a previous experience with one of their employees. During a prior window-cleaning service at my home, I was uncomfortable with the employee's behavior inside my house. In my opinion, he appeared more interested in looking around my home than focusing on the work itself. I found his behavior unprofessional and intrusive, which is why I specifically limited the windows I was willing to have cleaned this time. The pricing issues were even more concerning. During the first visit, I was given one pricing structure. I specifically asked to speak with the owner, Noah. The person who came to my property did not tell me he was the second owner. Instead, he identified himself as the manager. I repeatedly requested that Noah contact me directly, but I never received a call. I then contacted the office seeking clarification because the pricing information I had received was confusing and inconsistent. At that point, Maria, who is an employee of the company and not a member of the owner's family, provided me with pricing information for the pressure washing service. I have written documentation of that pricing, including an email and screenshot, which show information that differed from what I was told during the first visit. Based on Maria's pricing and our conversation, I believed the matter had already been resolved and that workers were being scheduled to perform the pressure washing service. I was not requesting another estimate. In fact, the entire purpose of my earlier calls was to obtain clarification regarding pricing so that the work could move forward. Instead, another crew arrived and informed me they were there to provide yet another estimate. I never requested another estimate. I had already spent significant time discussing pricing and scheduling. At that point, I expected the work to begin. While at my property, I was then presented with additional charges, including equipment charges that had not been clearly disclosed during earlier conversations. Once again, the explanation I received differed from what I had previously been told. The pricing discussed by the second representative was different from the pricing I had received from Maria, creating even more confusion regarding what the actual cost of the service would be. At that point, it felt like every person I spoke with had a different version of the pricing, a different explanation of the services, and a different understanding of what was supposed to happen. The lack of consistency was unbelievable. What should have been a simple request for a pressure washing estimate turned into multiple visits, conflicting pricing information, repeated requests to speak with ownership that were ignored, discussions about services I never requested, and a complete lack of clear communication. The final email I received from the company attempted to suggest that they had simply spent time providing estimates. What that email failed to acknowledge was the confusion created by their own representatives and the contradictory information provided throughout the entire process. Customers deserve transparency, honesty, professionalism, and consistent pricing information. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. In November 2025, I scheduled our annual carpet and tile cleaning. I requested a specific technician who had always done a great job, but someone else arrived on the day of service. He did a thorough job, and the carpet & tile were clean. However, afterward we discovered damage to the baseboards throughout our downstairs wherever there was tile. The boards were swollen and wet to the touch. Because EcoClean advertises a 100% Customer Satisfaction Guarantee, I emailed them within 24 hours to report the problem. I received a call from the owner, Rob Spiker. Unfortunately, the conversation was rude, aggressive, and combative. I was repeatedly interrupted and had difficulty getting a word in. We ultimately agreed that I would send pictures and video of the damage. I told my husband about the call, and he immediately contacted Rob. Rob told him, "I think I upset your wife." His conversation with my husband was noticeably calmer and more solution-oriented. They agreed that each of us would obtain a bid for replacing the damaged baseboards & then discuss a solution. We invited Rob to come to our home and assess the damage himself. He declined, saying it wasn't necessary because we were long-time customers. Before we could obtain the bid, we received a text from EcoClean stating that they would take no responsibility for the damage. We again invited Rob to come inspect the damage, but he responded that he would "happily decline." He then accused us of trying to scam him into paying for baseboards that had supposedly been damaged by years of pet urine. That accusation was particularly frustrating because we have eight years of EcoClean service records, and none of those service records documented damaged baseboards. We ultimately had our attorney contact Rob with a bid and demand for payment. His written response was: "No thanks, Total scam!" Rob told us that in all his years in business, he had never received a complaint like ours. I encourage anyone considering EcoClean to read the 1- and 2-star reviews on Google & Yelp, particularly: * Jim J., Rocklin, CA -- 8/29/2020 * Dana K., Rocklin, CA -- 9/11/2023 * Marcie W., San Francisco -- 1/24/2017 (He made her cry!) I noticed similarities in the way some of these customers described their experiences dealing with the owner. After we were unable to resolve the matter directly, we filed a claim in Small Claims Court. In June 2026, we appeared in court. The judge heard both sides & ruled in our favor, finding EcoClean liable for the damages to our home & awarding us $1,595. The judgment gave EcoClean 30 days to pay. The payment did not arrive within that period, so we sent an email with a copy of the judgment explaining that we would pursue the available next steps if payment was not made. We ultimately received the $1,595 judgment -- but in three monthly installments from July through September 2026, rather than in one payment. This entire situation could have been avoided. If Rob had simply refunded our cleaning fee, come to our home to inspect the damage, or offered another reasonable solution, we would have been satisfied. Instead, a problem that could have been resolved between a business & a nearly 10-year customer ended up in Small Claims Court. Based on our experience, I would encourage anyone considering EcoClean to read the 1- & 2-star reviews on Google & Yelp before hiring them. Pay particular attention to how complaints are handled & how responsibility is addressed when customers report problems. For us, the cleaning itself was not the issue.
