All of the plants are outside on the Kings vast land. The King's are like a living history of the Merrimack valley region - Mr. King can tell you stories about these towns when they were still all farm lands. There are frogs, turtles, toads, and other amazing animals close at hand while you're looking at a gorgeous selection of some of the nicest plants you've ever seen. The variety is incredible, and the quality is unsurpassed. No artificial fertilizers are used and Mr. King swears this is why deer don't bother his plants. He knows everything about every type of plant he sells and can answer whatever question you've got. I can't stress enough just how nice it is to be out there though - the drive over a tiny bridge, the "turtle crossing" signs, the acres of amazing plants to explore - and most importantly, the Kings themselves - 2 of the nicest, happiest, and most interesting people you could meet! We decided to try here and the large trees were only $65. The fellow gave it a fresh cut and put it in our car. And now I can tell you this tree is beautiful. Full but also easy to hang ornaments. The place was easy to find and a little under an hour outside of Boston. The selection of Christmas trees is great! The plots of them just keep on going--made decision making very rough. They have probably almost 10 different varieties of trees. All trees cost $60, regardless of size or type. Additionally, the owner was extremely nice and offered help cutting down the trees and helping to move them with his truck if they're too big to drag back. He even gives you a business card with his cell phone on it so you don't have to go find him in case you need that help! He was also super knowledgable about his varieties and helped me narrow down my search (I was looking for a super fragrant tree).
