I tried to address this privately with the dental office and I was threatened with law enforcement! I was never violent! spoke at normal tone and did NOT disrespect anyone! I am extremely disappointed with how I was treated at Stevens Crossing Dental Care, specifically by the supervisor/manager, James. I had been a patient of this practice for years, and my concerns are specifically related to my experiences with management. On August 7, 2026, I arrived after receiving a text from the office confirming my 2:30 PM appointment, yet I was told I did not have an appointment. This was not the first time I experienced appointment scheduling issues despite receiving confirmation messages. While attempting to calmly discuss my concerns with a front-desk employee who has known me for years, James intervened, physically moved/pushed the employee aside, took over the conversation, called me "aggressive," ordered me to leave, and threatened to call law enforcement. I never raised my voice, used profanity, threatened anyone, or made aggressive gestures. Two longtime front-desk employees witnessed the interaction. I was also told that James had previously instructed staff that I would be "punished" or "sanctioned" if I missed an appointment. On a prior occasion when I was sick, I responsibly called to cancel and even offered medical documentation, which the office declined. This was not my first negative interaction with James. During a previous insurance billing issue, he interrupted my conversation with another employee and told me to "be a responsible adult and pay my bill," while accusing me of trying to avoid payment. The employee ultimately resubmitted the insurance claim, and the insurance payment was received and posted by the practice, as I had explained would likely occur. I also previously asked James who I could speak with above him regarding my concerns and was told there was no one above him. On August 7, I requested a blank Release of Information/records-request form for my own dental records and was not provided one before being ordered to leave. Patients should be able to respectfully question appointment discrepancies, insurance billing, request their own records, and raise concerns about management without being demeaned, labeled "aggressive," or threatened with law enforcement. I am documenting my experience because I believe patients deserve respectful treatment, clear communication, and a meaningful way to raise concerns. read more

Scam. Do not go to this office!! Booked my daughter and the yelp reviews were decent 4 months later and the truth has come out. My child had been going to a very good pediatric dentist with absolutely no issues with her teeth and her visits would be fully covered by insurance. We go to this dentist and magically her teeth have issues and I now have a bill because what they did isn't covered. No one told me that would be the case while I was there. And I would have never approved an additional procedure. I've called to get an itemized bill to show me what they did that was not covered and no one will call me back. But they will keep sending me generic bills in the mail asking for payment. Save your money and time. read more

Don't go there the doctors start a treatment with you or then when you come to the visits you find out that the Dr is gone and that they can't follow your treatment they tell you that you have to look for another office and they don't explain the appropriate procedures read more

Terrible customer service. I made an appointment for my 6 year old to get cavities taken out. Explained the situation and the person was super confident. The day before the appointment, they canceled. Apparently the person that made the appointment had no clue what she was doing or talking about. Not only did they not care about the issue but were actually talking over me, cutting me off and saying "Well this is what we can do. So I don't know what to tell you." Hi, Im Chris. I cracked a tooth and immediately called Steven's Crossing Dental Care the very next morning. August 17th 2020. Maria was so awesome on the phone and scheduling me in the same day! Xandria Johnson and her awesome assistant Ashley examined my tooth and we determined it needed to be extracted. I must say, these two ladies did an absolute very efficient job and worked tirelessly for over an hour to get the job done. Thanks to my hard head and very good bone, that tooth was not easy to remove, I thank you ladies so much! , I've experienced virtually no pain since Ive left your office. Ok so far so good! This is what I got..... Is this place clean? Umm heck ya, like extremely Is the staff nice? Like act like they like working there nice? Yes each of them are extremely helpful and kind. They treat all my stupid questions as if actually important lol they don't rush me at all. They have yet to be rude or nasty. Now I do pay my bill so ‍ I'm happy so far and would recommend this place. I have braces going in in a few weeks and will update then. I have been waiting for almost a year to start having knee surgery and treated poorly by Aspen Dental, I thought I found an honest and caring dentist at Stevens Crossing! WRONG!!!! I thought in the beginning they were a caring dental professional who were compassionate and would finally help me to get my Medical Clearance form signed! My appointment after 2 postponements and excruciating pain I was happy we would work together but sadly they were the same as Aspen!! I told them I needed a way to get my clearance signed and after they checked out my teeth they said I could get my form to at least get started on not only on my knee surgery but working to finally get my teeth healthy or at least in better shape which after the deep cleaning they recommended that would get me in shape for my first surgery on November 17, 2023 and I was excited to finally get things done! Well, they did the cleaning and on the second procedure they changed their mind and wanted me to get extractions and a bone graft and I said well yeah after the surgery because six weeks before and six weeks after you can't have any dental work done and they knew this! The deep cleaning is not very comfortable and I was finally glad to get that part over with because I only had two or three days to get the surgeon my medical clearance but then they said they weren't going to sign it unless I had old is other work done And I told them I will be able to do that starting on January 1 if needed because I would have two months, January and February to do what they asked and they told me it would take 4 to 6 months to recover from it and I would still be recovering from the surgery and I was willing to go through whatever it would take but they weren't having that! It was bad enough that my insurance covered that 2nd cleaning ( which they tried to charge me $160 but the woman who checked be in backed me up so they pull out another bill of about $330 and wanted to start but I reminded them I wouldn't be able to have more dental work done until January 1, 2023, but again they weren't having that and refused to sign my medical clearance which was the whole point of doing the deep cleaning! When I got home I called the surgeon and they told me that the dentist office called them and said that I was lying! I could not believe that they had the gall to accuse me of lying when they lied to me! So now I'm at square one and excruciating knee pain I can barely walk. I have to find a new dentist because Stevens Crossing is not to be trusted and I'm in contact with Florida's Health department and Dentist complaints and it starts with them investigating Stevens Crossing who didn't treat me bad right away but we're better liars then Aspen and led me to think they were honest and compassionate! Now I somehow have to find an honest dentist but I want to find and surgeon who will at least do my first knee without medical clearance which should give the patient the choice to sign a waiver so I can get started because the pain is getting worse!! so now there's two crummy dentists in the town of Saint cloud, Florida, that everyone should stay away from and don't even read their welcome message on their doors because they are lying and just want your money they do not care about if you're in pain or anything else it's money, money, money and caring about the patient is a thing of the past with both of them! read more

I would not recommend this place to anyone. I took off work to get a deep cleaning. I called an hour in advance to confirm my deep cleaning and it was confirmed. I came in 15 minutes early to be seen 20 minutes after my appointment time. Maria was nice but couldn't find staff to help her. Then for them to offer doing half of my cleaning. Every time they leave a message to confirm an appointment there is a threat behind the message that if you do not respond by 2pm that day your appointment will be canceled. NEWS FLASH people do work, and do not always have the ability to answer right away or call you back by a certain time. 9 weeks ago I had an appointment for a cleaning and found out I had over $400.00 dollars in my account I was told they would mail it to me and I would get a check in 2 weeks. After telephone calls telling me it is on the was I am now waiting for 9 weeks and no sign of it. Not a way for people to reccomend them or to go for any more appointments. read more

I do not recommend this dental office. It took two hours just to get a teeth cleaning procedure. They tried to upsell me on products and procedures at every turn. Finally an hour and forty five minutes into it I told them I just needed them to stop and clean my teeth. My wife had the same experience. Unethical business practice: my elderly mother was told she needed a bridge, but the care plan they gave her did not include all the costs. After paying $1660 she found out that was just for the temporary bridge. Now that she has a temporary on, she finds out she needs to pay $2000 more for the permanent bridge. They should have included the total price in their Care Plan. It was underhanded and deceiving. And it was not a misunderstanding on my mother's side like the claimed - the Care Plan, which was in writing, did not include all the costs. Its like having a kidney operation and once they open you up and remove the kidney, while you are on the operating bench they say "by the way what you paid is to open and remove your kidney, there is an additional cost to close you back up". Her experience has been just as unethical and deceiving. Do yourself a favor, go to another dentist office. read more

Do not go here. Everyone was very nice. However, I was sent here by my regular dentist when they couldn't fit me in. My dentist earlier in the week had attempted a root canal but couldn't finish it. I was waiting for a specialist to fix it the next week. My tooth started really hurting. The dentist at Steven's Crossing told me that there was an infection and the tooth needed to be pulled. She said even if the root canal specialist could finish the root canal, the crown would break because of the location of the tooth. I agreed to have her pull it. She tried for 30 minutes and couldn't pull it. It had something to do with me not being able to control my tongue. She tried to get me into an oral surgeon, but it was Friday afternoon and they were all closed. She sent me home with an antibiotic. They wouldn't let me pay on leaving. That night I endured the worse pain I can ever remember. I got in with an emergency oral surgeon. He took new X-rays and examined me. He told me there was no reason my tooth couldn't be saved. He also said a crown would be fine on that tooth. If he surgically removed the tooth it could cause me to lost the teeth around it. I ended up back at the root canal specialist. The specialist saved my tooth. I have had a crown on the tooth for over two months, and it hasn't broke. Steven's Crossing also billed me for the service. I just paid it. Do not go here. read more

My dentists Dr. Figueroa is a wonderful person knowledgeable explains every thing that has to do with your care as well my hygienist. Just today i went to appt that I had told them in July that i needed to have my aligners fix cuz since July they don't fit in my mouth. they did not call me at all from July till now and it was because it was my appt . As I went today i was not seen because apparently i have a balance of 478. 00 which I did not know about at all. Never received a bill a statement or a call or even a text. The front desk told me i had to pay or will not get seen. so since i clarify to the front desk that there got to be a mistake due to Ms. Maria had charge 334.75 and had told me i had pay my balance in full as of may 2021. the accountant person from Steven crossing came along was extremely rude not supportive or customer service oriented very obviously in lack of understanding of a patient grieves any way she defiant in loud tone was telling me about I had to know about my balance and treated me as I was a stupid person mine you the waiting area had some people which was hearing all of this . As I was trying to explain to her that I thought my balance was paid in full that what ever was there was insurance responsibility may be . I chose this dental office after searching for a new dentist a while and I am so glad I did! They are friendly and have a good sense of humor, but are professional. They take the time to explain what they are doing very thoroughly. I have multiple tooth problems and they were great to approach it knowing maximizing the insurance coverage is very important to me. Dr Johnson works very cleanly. She gave me a root canal and crown. She is very efficient and there was no pain. I'm so glad I found this practice. They send reminder texts, which is very helpful. Another reviewer put it exactly right. Going to this dentist office is like buying a car from a shady dealership that is trying to upsell you on everything. I am 49 years old and have gone to the dentist faithfully twice a year. We have always had dental insurance. Every dentist office, you go get xrays, a cleaning, and a good checkup from your dentist. That is covered by your insurance. Not here. They do so many X-rays and then they try to upsell you a cleaning. And if you say no thank you (cancer screening and fluoride are extra here..... always covered by my other dentists) they still try to charge you. Then they told my sons they each needed a $100 cleaning because their teeth were so bad (they go to the dentist twice a year for cleanings and have never been told this). My son said no just give me the normal cleaning please. They wouldn't.t do it and tried to send him away without a cleaning. Are you kidding me? I had to pay over $200 to have the boys teeth cleaned. I would never return here. I do want to say that some of the people I met here were very nice and not at all rude. I honestly think one of the people knows what kind of a horrible place she works. I won't say her name because I don't want her to get in trouble, but when they tried to charge me for things I didn't receive she stood up for me. Then it was so weird because I felt like she thought she would get in trouble so she added in, but next time you should really consider getting these. Run nice lady, run!!!
