Dr. Powellson was in NO way friendly, welcoming, comforting, or helpful. He was, instead;rude, argumentative, interrupting, judgemental, cold, and dismissive. He was entirely focused on my mental health diagnosis-which was NOT why I was there-and treated my physical health, as well as some important concerns I tried to communicate, as an afterthought. The room was cold, sterile, uncomfortable, and so is Dr. Powellson. I was immediately put off and defensive with his demeanor, and his lack of focus on my physical health rather than my mental- he seemed to form an opinion when I told him my diagnosis- was confusing and frustrating. I jave a lump in my abdomen and another in my pelvis that he NEVER EXAMINED, or asked about them after I mentioned it. I felt judged, as though Dr Powellson has a bias about people with BPD. The building and the lobby made me want to turn around as soon as I got there, and Dr. Powellson made me so uncomfortable; feeling judged and argued with, and frustrated, that I walked out of the appointment within 5 minutes of meeting and talking to him. At NO time did I feel like Dr Powellson cared about my physical concerns, or even HEARD them. This was just supposed to be a general physical and check-up, and Dr. Powellson made it the most uncomfortable, unpleasant, and awful appointments I have ever had.

Then another ten minutes waiting in the exam room after the nurse got all my info. Dr. Reddy listened to all my concerns and I didn't feel rushed or unimportant. I had blood taken two years ago and the phlebotomist messed up and I had extensive bruising, pain and a month long numbness/tingling in my fingers but they have a better phlebotomist now. She was efficient and I had minimal bruising (a dot) and no pain. Scheduling was easy and so was parking. The do virtual appointments if needed.

Several times I have had to wait over an hour due to lack of communication. Example: Today I had an 8am appointment for blood work. I sat there for 45 minutes in the lobby I went to the desk to ask about the delay. She said that they were waiting for the Doctor to give them the paperwork to do the blood work. I told her I made this appointment a few months ago and even got a call from this office yesterday to remind me.Then she said we don't make appointments for blood work. I told her I made the appointment right here and have done so before. I have low blood sugar and I had to fast from last evening and was beginning to have the shakes so I just left. I don't believe I am the only one expressing displeasure with the service offered at the clinic. Hope things change. I will be looking elsewhere.

I just needed a simple yes or no answer, because otherwise I'd be going to see another doctor somewhere else. I ended up selecting Dr. Meghan Hunter after researching the credentials of doctors in the area. The entire staff is extremely friendly. They remember details about me and my family when we visit. The nurses are awesome and are very knowledgable. Dr. Hunter is extremely smart and personable. She does not treat folks like they are a 10 minute slot. In fact, she spends as much time as it takes to take care of business -- sessions with her are not rushed. Each time I have visited Dr. Hunter, she clearly articulated my issues, described my treatment plans, then got me on the road to wellness. Yes, sometimes they run behind, but it's a doctor's office. Sometimes there are serious issues that they must tend to and sometimes there are routine issues. I highly, highly recommend this practice!

From the ER to being in my private room, a beautiful large room with an incredible picture window. I wanted to adopt all of my nurses and staff Be kind when you are in the hospital pay attention to what they are doing. They are run, ragged shorthanded, and never seem to stop running to take care of us. They do it with a smile on their face they find time for you even though they don't have any time. By the way, the food was incredible. I had the option to order different if I wanted to, but the everyday regular meal was so good. I never bothered to try the side menu. Be aware if there's any chance of you falling because of a medical issue, they are gonna watch you extra. Lol I thought they were kidding about not getting out of bed until I put my foot on the floor. My bathroom was about 3 feet away and yes, I had to fix a sock and I was going to try to get to the bathroom on my own. Next thing you know, I had red lights flashing, and a fire alarm sound a very loud one. They aren't kidding. They have to arm and disarm your bed before you can get out of it. It's for our safety of taken several bad falls before they weren't gonna let me do it on their watch. I felt like I was in a hotel. It was so nice even the wall color was pretty. I'm not happy with some of the management and some things that were done and the way they were handled. Remember to be your own ADVOCATE. That being said, though, remember your nurses and other stuff, including the people that deliver your food, I had some of the cheeriest and kindest people from that area as well. I had one young lady while I was still in the ER room come in one morning. She had a voice like a beautiful bird so nice to wake up to. Thank you is not enough to say to these great people. I initially went here as a last minute option after my sister had referred me to 1960 Family Practice saying that they were really convenient for her, which she wasn't wrong about. First off, we all know that no one LIKES to go to the dr but hey, we gotta take care of ourselves. Parking isn't too shabby, they have plenty of spaces but can be full sometimes. This place is not too fancy, but it's clean and they have ample seating with chairs that are not too squished together so you have some sort of space between you and the other people waiting. One of the main reasons I like coming here is the ease of scheduling appointments. When I get sick, I try to call first thing that morning to set an appointment and they always try to get me into the earliest one. The receptionists are never rude and are helpful to update any information such as insurance changes over the phone to save you time when you're in there. The rest of the staff are also very friendly and helpful, I haven't encountered any debby downers while I've been coming here, so that's cool. Wait times aren't bad either. Most of the time, I haven't been sitting down for more than 10 minutes before my name is called. Now to the doctor. Dr. Lance Pickard is great. He's always very nice and in a good mood and I never wait long in the exam room. What I like is that he takes time with me and doesn't rush my office visit and is happy to answer any and all questions that I have as well. After your visit, checking out is a breeze and they always get me in and out. The only negatives I have is that their pharmacy can be a hot mess sometimes. I have waited a long time to have a prescription filled and once they couldn't find my prescription so I suggest just going to your ordinary pharmacist to have your meds filled. Overall, this place does the job. They make your doctor visit easy and makes your sick days less of a headache.
