His behavior felt completely inappropriate for any healthcare setting, especially one where patients may already be sick, anxious, or vulnerable. What disturbed me even more was the physical interaction. I felt that I was manhandled rather than treated calmly and professionally. The combination of yelling, profanity, aggressive behavior, and physical handling made me feel like my personal safety was at risk. I genuinely left the situation feeling as though my life could have been in danger. No patient should ever be made to feel threatened by someone who is supposed to be providing medical care. Healthcare workers are expected to remain professional, respectful, and composed, even during difficult situations. What I experienced was the complete opposite. I believe this incident should be investigated seriously, including reviewing any available security footage, speaking with staff who witnessed the interaction, and documenting exactly what occurred. Based on my experience, I do not believe this individual should be allowed to continue interacting with patients unless the situation is thoroughly investigated and appropriate action is taken. I would strongly caution others about my experience here. I went to urgent care expecting medical help and instead left feeling intimidated, shaken, and unsafe.

As they knew him, I guess, back in the day or at some point in time. I called and spoke with what seemed to be a young lady. She seemed - young. I drove in to check it out. The office was empty. No one there - literally. I saw paintings on the wall for sale - which I found interesting for a medical office. I stood there. And stood there. And this man walks by - he was a doctor. He look surprised. I looked surprised. He said they were at lunch. Okay. I'd think you'd lock the door or put a sign out - AT LUNCH. Be back soon. Or something. We spoke. It was polite. I left. Later I called and spoke with what seemed to be a young lady - my perspective. She said 'the doctor' doesn't take Medicare. And that resolved that. That's my experience. Make of it what you will.

He suggested he could give me a cortisone shot. Due to me being extremely allergic to Polyethylene Glycol in which I have an anaphylactic reaction (Dr. Phillips is aware of this as it noted in my record.). When he suggested the a cortisone shot my wife and I asked at the same time "Does the shot contain Polyethylene Glycol." His response, "not that I'm aware of". Knowing what happens to me you would think he would review the ingredients. Well Polyethylene Glycol was the main ingredient of the cortisone shot and I had a serious Anaphylactic reaction. I felt sick immediately after the shot and the front desk receptionist brought me to the bathroom and left. My wife came to find me a few minutes later and I was on the floor unconscious. She new immediately what happen. Everyone in office came running and 911 was called. Nobody got an EpI pen, Dr Phillips stood there and said to me, "my husband passed out." I was rushed to Newton Wellesley hospital and it was so severe and was a touch and go situation. Dr. Philllips negligence caused harm and unnecessary body and organ stress to me that could have resulted in death. it would have taken a few minutes to investigate the ingredients in the shot. I reported this to the medical board and they decided not to recommend disciplinary action. He was more or less slapped on hand and the Complaint Committee sent him a letter to "remind him the importance of reviewing and verifying ingredient labels when a specific question is raised by a patient with allergy concern". I would think twice before considering an appointment with him. A concerned and caring doctor would have at least called me to see how I was doing. That tells you something. ML - Sept 23, 2025

Was referred to Dr McGuillicutty for back problem after several falls and lifting mishaps made my…read moreback hurt so much I could t stand five minutes without going into spasms. Had searing numbness and pain radiating down my leg to my toes and it wouldn't go away..... I had to travel from overseas and Dr McGuillicut opened on a Saturday to see me and a few more patients. I had an MRI and he went over the details with me, did some mobility tests and thankfully everything showed no major damage but I do need several weeks of physical therapy so he referred me out for that. Very nice Dr, went out of his way for his patience and his wife was so kind to support the office requirements on a Saturday.
