I want to start by saying Dr. Moravec and the staff and beyond friendly and my daughters have beautiful smiles now! But scheduling is a nightmare especially for parents who work and with school-aged children they are not convenient. Hours are M-Th 9-6 but every time I try to get an appt on one of those days, Dr. Moravec is conveniently not in that day. This has happened more times than not. Also, they schedule particular types of appointments during certain times of the day which do not always work for everyone's schedules. It would be nice if the office was more accommodating for the clientele they cater too which is mostly school-aged children and working parents. Maybe have 1 night they are open later or be open on Fridays as well. Just keep this in mind when you look for orthodonitists. read more

My experience has been different than most reviews My 12 yr old son was examined and put in braces. Dr and staff was aware of elongated jaws issues within in my family and I wanted to make sure my son wasn't placed in braces too early. Well, 6 months after my son's braces were off his jaw line changed. My son went through puberty and his whole jaw shifted(elongated). His teeth are nice and straight but his bite is completely off. Would highly recommend waiting til your children are near puberty for braces. Went to a different ortho for my 3rd son and they waited until he was 16 yrs old to put him in braces. read more

Dr. Moravec is top notch!! I couldn't have selected a better orthodontist for my daughter. He took care of everything every single time. He is hard working, hires wonderful staff, and does everything to accommodate your needs. I would give him 6 stars out of 5 if I could. My daughter's teeth look amazing and he knew what to do much better than the other orthodontist in the area as I went to several for consultations. PLEASE see him!! You should not be disappointed!! We have gone through 2 kids with braces at this office. Overall the actual braces have gone well for our kids, mainly because they maintained good oral care of their teeth while having them on, so we had no problem having the braces on for a shorter amount of time. But scheduling is almost nearly impossible for after school hours, and especially when there are more emergent situations like loose wires coming loose and poking out. Plus there are days the orthodontist isn't in the office so not many procedures like a wire removal can be done. Office hours are stated as 9-5 but then there are days when they close at 3pm. If you are considering an orthodontist, please keep this in mind especially when you have high school kids and it is harder for them to be pulled out during school hours or your family needs more flexibility. read more

I consulted three different orthodontists for my elementary school aged daughter, as this was my first experience. Two of these doctors wanted me to immediately sign a contract, make a payment, and rush my daughter into the dental chair in the same day. Dr. Moravec was very different, he said she was not ready and he wanted to be careful to chose the best time in her growth to correct her overbite. We came back every 6 months until she was ready. No rush, painless, and the result was a great smile. My two other children will certainly be patients of Dr. Moravec in the near future as well. read more

This might seem a little odd, but I think it is worth noting the great work this Team does. I have three children that had Orthodontic work done at his office. They are now 28,24, and 21. One common thing they have heard over the years is how perfect their teeth look and how great the work was done. This has been going on for over 15 years now and my 21 year old heard it again yesterday. It is worth the investment to get things done right and this team delivers. I am very displeased with my services thus far. Every time I bring up a concern Dr. Moravec basically tells me I'm wrong and his way is the right way. Initially I was told my treatment would be 6-8 months. I'm now going on 19 months. I've even mentioned concerns to his assistants and they agree with me, then when the Dr. comes over he claims it all looks fine. I feel like what I think about my smile matters, as I'm the one who is living with it and frankly, the one who paid for it. I really wish I would have done more research before getting braces here. I should have known when they insisted I get the braces on the same day of the consultation. At one point I told Dr. Moravec I wasn't happy with the way my smile looked now and he told me I could not wear my retainers and let my teeth go back to how they were before the braces. Such terrible customer service. I also have a friend who is getting treated here and initially he told her treatment would be 1 year. She's now going on 3 years with multiple times of getting the braces on and off, just to be put back on again. I would never ever recommend going here if you want a doc that listens to what makes you happy and satisfied. Just today I told Dr. what I would feel comfortable with to get my smile where I'm happy and his response was a single"no". read more

Both my sons had braces with Dr. Moravec. They both had the Sure Smile system, it shaved off 10 months off their time in braces vs. regular orthodontia methods. The office works like a well-oiled machine, and staff are pleasant and professional with their clients and parents. I would recommend Dr. Moravec! read more

Dr. Moravec's office is a study in efficiency! Extremely well organized, fast and friendly staff. I have had 2 children see Dr. Moravec over the last few years. Never a glitch. The dental work has never been an issue, when there was a problem, we were able to get in quickly to have repairs done. He always gives an update after each appointment. Dr Moravec does a great job but the bedside manners and hours are not very good. When I brought my son in they wanted to put braces in on the spot. He had been a patient of Dr Moravec for a few years because he had and expander and a retainer prior to his braces. We put the braces on (which are expensive) and went through his treatment. Midway thru the treatment they put in a Herbst device. They didn't tell us that they were doing this. No "hey next appointment we're going to do this". They just did it! Needless to say I have had numerous problems with this device. It's very difficult to get an appointment because the hours are limited. Has anyone been to their website and seen their hours posted? There is a reason for this. Dr Moravec does nice work but I think there are better alternatives to his office style of a "rotating door." Anyone who has been to his office knows exactly what I'm talking about. Save yourself the headache and trouble of going down there and find a different orthodontist. As a side note I just call the office at 9:15 am and they have the answering service still on from the night before. Don't most doctor offices open at 8:00 am? read more

I decided to get braces as an adult, so I was a little concern about how long it would take and how it would look. Dr. Morovec and his well trained staff didn't try to push me into the most expensive plan. Instead they helped me choose a plan that best fit my needs. The secretaries were very accommodating in trying to schedule me at times where I would not miss work, especially those last minute appointments when a wire popped out. The got me in ASAP but at a time that worked best for me. 10 months later I have the smile I always dreamed of! :) read more

Wow! I can't even explain how impressed I have been with Dr. Moravec and his staff. I currently have both of my children receiving treatment from Dr. Moravec. The facilities are high tech and clean. We have never had any trouble getting an appointment or having questions answered (Dr. Moravec actually provided his personal mobile phone number in case we do have questions that need to be answered). I don't have any complaints with Dr. Moravec's work. He does a very good job and I trust his judgement. The problem I have is with his office hours. They are very limited and his schedule is not suited to families with two adults that are working. He does not work Fri., Sat. or Sun. and M-Th. there are no evening hours. I can't keep taking days off of work to bring my kids in for adjustments. I have 3 kids that all need braces. My son is finishing up treatment there and I won't be back for my other 2 kids. read more

If I could rate higher I would. Dr. Moravec is an EXCELLENT orthodontist that you will not be disappointed by. He has managed to remove all the things you do not like about going to the dentist/orthodontist. Great staff. A very hands on caring Orthodontist. I have been seeing him for almost a year to have my teeth straightened by Invisalign. My teeth were so over crowded, it was causing me a great deal of discomfort. Dr. Moravec went through a step by step on the process of straightening my teeth.
