My previous dentist was also in Hoboken (will not name) and when I went for my cleaning and to address an issue I was having with a crown, they put patients in the stalls next to me and didn't social distance us which was odd. When leaving, I noticed multiple members of staff intermittently wearing masks (ie pulling them down to speak to each other). This left me extremely uncomfortable and in search of a new dental office I went. First, the staff here is wonderful - courteous, friendly and wonderful customer service. Dr. Moawad diagnosed my crown issue, explained my options and great bed side manner. Second - I wish I knew her name, but the receptionist was great. When I called to asked about their Covid protocol, she explained in detail that they have air purifiers in every room, mandate masks all time, and send all paperwork in advance to be completed digitally to limit any in-person exchange, I can't recommend this place enough.

Whoever I spoke to not only misread my insurance but, when I tried to correct her mistaken claim (she made claims about my insurance that were objectively wrong), she just said "Alright, I'm not doing back and forth with you," which was extremely rude and blunt as I had only tried to point out a mistake she had made processing my insurance. I did not feel kind, courteous, or like they were at all welcome to accept new patients.

This makes the experience uncomfortable and frustrating as a patient. Because of this repeated pressure and the unnecessary costs, I would not recommend going to this practice. TLDR: Good quality dental care, subpar billing and management…read more After an initial consult, during which I was treated like an emperor, I fell for the routine and paid several thousand dollars upfront for an Invisalign treatment. A month later, having received no communication - I followed up and 'Janet' showed up. Dr Ali and her dental assistant team her team were excellent, thorough and professional in their interactions. At the beginning of the first meeting it was explained that Invisalign wasn't covered by insurance, which included a whitening treatment as part of the procedure. Oddly, no cleaning nor annual examination were offered during the 18 month treatment. It wasn't until that final appointment and after cleaning, X-rays etc., was I told the whitening wasn't part of the plan I'd paid in advance for. Be aware that while quality of care is good, the office management and billing team are uncommunicative, illusive, inconsistent and we caught them attempting to push claims through our insurance company (according to our insurance) despite telling us they don't take that insurance and asked us to pay in full up front. On multiple occasions appointments were moved or adjusted by the office, all of which were during regular working hours for most people... I've personally no issue with that as a freelancer and understanding clients but it might be inconvenient for others.

I did not have a dentist in the area and had a severe tooth ache and swollen gum Friday night…read more Saturday morning I looked up dentists in Hoboken open Saturdays on Yelp. I found Brian Warner (same address and phone number) open on Saturdays. I called around 9am and got Dr. Lynch's office. They were able to see me at 10am. Dr. Lynch was super friendly and hospitable. She performed a periodontal treatment on the gum and then recommended I come in for a cleaning this upcoming week. When I went to pay, the receptionist did not seem to know what she was doing, took my insurance and credit card and billed me 20% of the bill and said they would call me if that was the incorrect amount. Although my mouth was numb the rest of the day, by Sunday I was feeling 100 times better. I came on Yelp today to read Dr. Lynch's reviews (since I only read Dr. Brian Warner's prior to my first appointment with Dr. Lynch) and now I am concerned and considering canceling my upcoming appointment. I can definitely believe that the office has billing issues based on my experience Saturday, but these reviews reiterate that thought. It's a shame because Dr. Lynch seemed to be a really nice and knowledgeable dentist but I am not sure it's worth the risk of possible billing headaches and extra out of pocket fees.

It's crazy but I had that crown for about 12 years ! I panicked immediately thinking I chipped my natural teeth , but lo and behold it was the crown!! I was looking desperately for emergency care in the same day but I believe since it was already near noon all the other dentists were booked or closed for the day! I got there at like 9:40 am and did all the paperwork and one of the doctors named John greeted me and escorted me to the operating room/ office . He was super polite and got everything set up and ready for the other doctor.. Doctor Wang! So I have been a patient for over 10 years. Even before she started her individual practice. Dr…read more Leung is very conservative with the work she decides to do. She will inform you of the work that is needed, but that's just her giving you her medical/dental opinion. It's still your choice if your going to do it or not just tell them. Also I think people don't understand that the office is not harassing you, it's their liability to reach out to us as patients and tell us to get the work done just say no and they will document, this just means you can't say they didn't say so down the road when your tooth is hurting. This rule is the same at medical offices. Although there have been many staff changes over the years, the quality of work I received have never caused any issues. All the negative reviews must have just been the bad batches that the office had since I'm sure if she was a horrible dentist she wouldn't be around for this long and have many loyal patients like myself return for so many years. Can't speak on behalf of their experiences but seems unfortunate and I hope you found your perfect dentist. I have old silver fillings from when I was about 8 years old and she even recommended not to replace unless I am having issues. So I highly doubt she's only about the money. I have about 6 of them. When my bonding from my teenage years came off, she gave me options I ultimately decided to just have the bonding redone versus getting veneers and they look so natural and feel so smooth I hardly notice it's there. So please do not let the negative reviews below stop you from visiting her office. And even then, I would take pause. I went to her for a routine, general check up. She was about to do a deep cleaning procedure I totally did not need, after having told her that I had had laser gum surgery last year, and she needed to refrain from any invasive procedures. (Deep cleaning is invasive and can create new crevices or canals in the gums.) Luckily, I had a feeling she did not know what she was doing and promptly left her office. I went to my gum specialist later in the week who said that there was absolutely nothing wrong with the area around which she was about to do the procedure. And then I received a bill in the mail six later for the exam and X-ray that diagnosed a problem which did not exist in the first place. She invents things to fix just to get money out of patients.
