The office is very clean and large. The reception was prompt and there was no long wait. 2. The receptionists upsold me a cancer screening and fluoride as a "bundle for first-time visitors" with the option to pay upfront. This was before I was even examined by the Dentist to determine if I needed either. I suspect that they may be incentivized to do this. 3. Most of my appointment was spent with the hygienist, who was very thorough with cleaning and X-rays. They wanted to take a ton of photos of my face, which I had to decline - most were unnecessary if the dentist was going to check anyway. 4. Of the hour I spent there Dr. Rickerby only saw me for about 5 minutes. He immediately offered Invisalign and a few other services that weren't covered by my insurance. 5. Dr. Rickerby focused more on steps to straighten my teeth than their condition. I originally wanted to know if I had cavities and ended up leaving without an answer. Overall, the cleaning was great, but I feel this office is more concerned about upselling additional cosmetic options than about covering the urgent necessities for dental health. I also believe a dentist should explain what needs to be done to alleviate the issues the patient cares about the most - they didn't. Any optional recommendations should have been secondary to that I've never been to a dental office that went straight for sales pitches and upselling on services that aren't covered by insurance once I walked into the door. Because of this, I am not confident that Rickerby is a dentist I can trust. So, I'll be looking elsewhere to hopefully a place that is more concerned about my health first.

Dr. rickerby came in and told me what i needed done and i said okay lets do it. The red flag was when Dr. Rickerby asked me when was the las time I was at the dentist I told him the last time I saw him, and then he said, "is that the last time you saw your Gynecologist? I gave a very uncomfortable laugh. After waiting for a while another lady came in and explained the total. it was $757.00 dollars and told me i had to sign the total document which i did. Another wait time now two ladies come back and ask me to pay the total right now. i said pay now i've never heard of paying before be serviced. Soi get out of the chair return to the reception area to pay my bill before being serviced. The two ladies one with child at the reception desk informs me my total due is now $100.00 dollars more than the original total of $757.00. Then I was asked, "how are you going to pay"? i said, half cash, half card, but why is the total different from the document you had me sign? Thetwo ladies looked at each other for the answer both confused, then they looked at me. then as if a light bulb turned on, one of the ladies said the hundred dollar difference was the actual visit fee. I said okay i will pay the new price just give me a receipt. what seemed like an eternity i said whats going on with my receipt? Now i'm told to have a seat back in the reception area. after another lengthy wait, i said whats going on here i'm feeling uncomfortable, where is me receipt? To add insult to injury i was told to pay the bill and i would get a receipt later because she could not figure out how to give me a receipt. I said to both ladies, you got me out of the chair in the middle of my doctors visit to pay up front which i agreed to do but i can not have a receipt given to me paid in full? Even if they would have informed me they wanted payment before service it would have been a little more professional than the way they handled me. I walked out.

I appreciate that he sometimes answers his phone himself and that it is easy to get an appointment. The staff was helpful with stubbornly stupid insurance. I see that there is a negative review on Yelp, and I am sorry that anybody experienced pain. Still, I understand that not all medical or dental procedures are successful. In my case, Dr. Bral gave me good advice, and the procedures he did for me were excellent--as good as the work done by other dentists in cities where I have lived before.

Before you even get to your appointment they're hooking you up with reminders so you don't accidentally double book yourself and have to choose between your dental health or an overpriced night out on the town. Speaking of town, if you live nowhere near Jersey City, but they take your insurance, you should still give yourself the privilege of being one of their patients. During your appointment they tell you the good, the bad,and the ugly in the nicest way possible and provide you with praise or education depending on your teeth and how many cavities you do or do not have. The place is high tech and you can tell they're using some military grade tech to get the job done. They even have televisions you can watch on the ceiling while you're getting the plaque scraped off of your lateral incisors. Netflix and Drill some would say. But I digress, onto the after your appointment : If you care about your teeth and being able to bite into a juicy well done vegan burger when you're in your 90s, this is the place to be.

TrueCare Dental recommended I have a full-mouth deep cleaning, 5-7 fillings, and invisalign after a different dentist from the one I made my appointment with came into the room. Staff did not let me know I would be seeing a different dentist than the one with whom I made an appointment, which is an ethical breach in and of itself. TrueCare Dental also tried using high-pressure sales tactics on me, including the scam artist dentist challenging me by saying demeaning stuff like, "Well, if you can't afford it..." Fortunately I am not easily pressured. Went to two different dentists after to get second and third opinions, both of whom said I don't need any part of my mouth deep-cleaned (let alone a full mouth deep cleaning) and I do not need invisalign. I also only need one filling, not the six or seven TrueCare Dental insisted I needed. TrueCare Dental is a scam shop. Avoid at all costs.

I walked to front desk to set up the appointment for the unfinished job , & she charged my insurance for the tooth xray & the whole she made in my tooth & then charged my credit card almost $400.00 dollars. I payed the bill & never went back & still have the whole in my tooth & been on pain killers ever since. My wife told me to sue her and i might just do that.

Feeling very bad for waiting so long to write this review. Dr. B (as I call him) has seen me though…read morethe last 10 years of dental care and i cannot recommend him enough for general dental work (no oral surgery, so unfortunately i had to have someone else take out my wisdom teeth but they were referred by Dr B so of course they were great too!). I've had 3 root canals and several fillings, along with routine cleanings and xrays of course. Dr. B is so thorough in making sure the patient is not in pain while he works, as well as explaining what would happen as he was working and what the next steps were in the process. I appreciated that he didn't just start doing stuff without telling me what was going to happen. Also he's really gentle and careful not to poke your gums or be too forceful when doing a root canal (that part sucks but that's not his fault). Also, he's just a really nice guy, very patient (i make him explain EVERYTHING to me because i like learning about medicine) and always pleasant (ever have a rude or grumpy doctor? idk its very offputting). All of my work done by Dr. B is perfect ,even the first crown i had put on almost 10 years ago. None of my crowns have ever cracked or fallen off, they are all positioned perfectly for my bite (he checks your bite several times before finishing a crown to make sure that you will not be biting too hard on the faux-tooth, and makes sure the crown isnt too big or off set with your bite so that you don't have weird jaw problems, or something). None of my fillings have fallen out or even become irritated again. I just finished the 3rd root canal, and even though i hope that i dont have to have any more (they are just miserable) i feel good knowing that if i do need one that Dr B will take good care of my teeth. He always does quality work, will never rush or do a sloppy job. also he's got the xray machine that uploads to his laptop so no more waiting for xrays to develop!!! convenient and efficient. oh, and all of the work he's done looks great -- he's very good at matching the color of amalgam or a crown to your natural tooth shade. and the silver filling i have was very carefully done so its not so noticeable. Staff is also very nice too, Patricia at the front desk is so sweet and doesn't laugh at me when i show up on the wrong day for my appointment because im scatterbrained. Bridget is the DA who is usually with Dr B for my visits and she is fabulous as well. Overall they are all really kind people who care about their patients dental health, and they are the only people i trust to work on my teeth. I know everyone "hates" the dentist but Dr. B makes it way less painful than it could be!!! Go see him, your teeth will thank you.

I am so so glad I found dr Zazzaro. I have been having really sensitive teeth after my fillings…read morewere done by another dentist last Dec, and wanted a second opinion on what's going wrong. Dr Zazzaro was really patient and carefully listened and examined my situation. He told me that he couldn't find anything going wrong with my teeth and the reason would probably be my fillings were not adjusted correctly and have some high spots. He carefully tested and adjusted a few spots and I can feel the differences right away. Dr Zazzaro was very open and honest, which is hard to find these days. The place I had my fillings done was trying to sell me additional services the entire time and wanted to schedule surgery to remove my wisdom teeth. Dr Zazzaro told me that it won't be necessary at all in my situation and pointed out the truth that my wisdom teeth has been like this for past ten years. He didn't even charge me for any copay for this visit. On other notes, his office is very clean and staff are very friendly. They are also high tech with all electronic forms which saved everyone's time. I didn't have to wait for a min and was immediately called in upon my appointment time. I highly recommend Dr Zazzaro and will definitely return for other services.
