They called me at 7 am the next morning and got me in at 11am that day (keep in mind- I am not even a patient of theirs). The dentist was great and re attached my veneer after numbing my mouth. He educated me on future complications/what to avoid/what to watch for. His assistant was wonderful. I have had no problems since (knock on wood). The next day (so Saturday), the same gal who called me at 7am called to check on me. The best customer service I think I have ever had in my life. Again, I will be switching to this office. I will request Jessica as my hygienist the next time I visit. When I met Dr. Sutton, he was very friendly and nice. Listened to all my questions about dental work and really explained well what was going on with my oral health. I would highly recommend this office. If you look past the tv of distraction, the view of the Plaza is nice from her chair. The entire front desk staff is super sweet, attentive and on top of their game. The waiting area is really clean and up to date. Current magazines, complimentary bottle water, hot tea, juice and snacks are available for all the patients of this office. Not that you want to go to the dentist, but if you have to, check out the office of Dr. Waldron.

After multiple messages saying I need to private my dental info, I arrive and they don't have my dental records nor can anyone have time to let me try to be sent immediately (which old dentist would do) Instead I get pressured into an annual plan And then told I need a panopto X-ray and regular X-rays (just had X-rays 6 months ago) and then I'm told that I need a deep cleaning and they won't do a cleaning at all. I have to come back 2 other times weeks from now and spend a lot more. Whenever I moved before, the office always made sure to get my records. They also didn't bother talking about any of.my chronic health conditions that impact my teeth including that they want to use a local but I need an alternative as lidocaine does nothing for me. A dentist should get your records, not ask for payment/commitment for a plan before ever meeting with anyone from your office, not insist that you get panoramic X-rays but not teeth cleaning. I want to go elsewhere given that i am here for the 2nd time, 25 minutes into my appointment and no one has started cleaning my teeth again. I've spent $600 and want to go elsewhere but it appears too late. They don't seem to know or accommodate any of my health needs.

They recently hired a new hygienist named Mackenzie, and from the moment she entered the room, her attitude and demeanor were very off-putting. She introduced herself with a quick, "Hey, I'm Mackenzie," and immediately got started. There was very little warmth or communication, and the cleaning felt extremely rushed and rough. While she was scaling my teeth, it honestly felt like she was aggressively scraping around my mouth as quickly as possible rather than taking her time. I am also seven months pregnant, and I was reclined very far back while repeatedly being told, "Turn your head this way. More. More. More towards me." I was already physically uncomfortable, but the biggest issue was that she repeatedly stabbed/poked my gums with the instrument. I finally told her directly that she was hurting my gums and asked her to please slow down. Instead of acknowledging what I was saying or adjusting her technique, she huffed, continued, and then abruptly stopped and asked, "Is that better?" At that point, we were already more than halfway through, so I told her I was just ready to finish. However, the same thing continued happening. Eventually, I told her I did not think this was going to work and asked for someone else to finish because I was too uncomfortable. I asked her how she would feel if someone repeatedly stabbed her in the gums, and her response was essentially that if I were a hygienist, she would allow me to do it to her. That response was completely unnecessary, dismissive, and unprofessional. Being a dental hygienist does not mean a patient should be expected to sit there quietly while repeatedly being hurt especially after clearly communicating that something is painful and asking the hygienist to slow down. What bothered me just as much as the rough cleaning was the cocky, sassy, and dismissive attitude I received when I tried to advocate for myself. I wasn't disrespectful to her, I simply asked her to stop hurting me and slow down. I have been a patient at this office for years, long before they had this new hygienist, and I have never had an experience like this here before. That is exactly why this interaction stood out so much and why I felt it was important to leave this review. Patients should be able to communicate when they are in pain or uncomfortable without receiving an attitude in return. I sincerely hope management addresses this because this was absolutely not the level of care or professionalism I have come to expect from Comfort Dental Midtown.

I'm happy to say we found it at KC Family Dental. Our 3 year old son had his first visit and it was a success! The hygienist approached him at his comfort level and he even let her clean his teeth a bit. Dr. Brent answered all of our questions about what we needed to do for his oral health and had a great personality to work with kids. Fast forward to my appointment and it turned out I needed multiple fillings on both sides of my mouth and a crown. I was nervous to have that amount of dental work done and be in a dental chair for over 2 hours but I'm happy to report it went very well. Dr. Brent and her assistant could not have been nicer during the whole experience and the combination of their friendly attitudes and confidence made me comfortable. The addition of having a TV to watch while I had the work done was also a great distraction.
