Dr. Steve Alman has been our dentist for almost 20 years! He is highly professional, knowledgeable, and kind physician. Not only are his visits thorough, he is very personable as well, taking time to ask about family, etc.. I know personally that he keeps up on all the newest research. His approach is very caring, but pragmatic. I had a choice to make in my 40s: either 2-3 yrs with braces or veneers; his assessment of each was very thorough, not pushing one over the other. Choosing veneers, he worked diligently to achieve a look close to perfection. Now, after 5 or more years, they still look beautiful, and I have no regrets. Dr. Alman works to satisfy all needs of his patients, giving all options from which a patient can choose for various situations/conditions. Dr. Alman is also very gentle with children and those who are nervous at visits. As one who is overly sensitive to pain, I find he is the most gentle dentist I have ever been to (4 in my life). He is prompt, with a very efficient and kind staff. There are a variety of assistants to fit the personality/needs of each patient. My teeth look good. Actually, given what they've been through, they look REALLY good. And it's all thanks to Dr. Alman (we call him "The Artist"). Let's consider the rudiments: * Capable of carrying on a delightful conversation that rarely requires more than a strained "uh huhs" or "nuh uhs"? Check. * Delightful staff who know exactly where your "upper threes" are, will guard your shirt from the spray of that crazy high speed pressure cleaner drill thing, expertly X-ray your face with digital clarity, and mix some really strong mouthwash shots? Check. * Gratuitous golf-related paraphernalia? Double check. I've been going to this doyen of dentistry for as long as I can remember, and I can't imagine being as happy anywhere else. He's seen me through cavities, wisdom tooth removal, broken (front!) teeth, jaw surgery, two rounds of braces, and whatever else I may be forgetting. And my teeth look seriously good. Dr. Alman and his staff are just wonderful!! Dr. Alman is not only highly experienced and extremely skilled, he also takes the time to explain what's going on with your teeth, gums, etc. If you need a procedure and there are different options, he'll explain the pros and cons, including costs. You really get the sense that he knows his stuff, and that's something that cannot be said about every dentist. The hygienist's are fantastic. Very pleasant and professional. Almost makes me look forward to going to the dentist! The office staff is also first-rate, they are always pleasant and friendly, always greet you by name, and have everything under control re: follow ups, billing, and so on. They're always right on schedule at Dr. Alman's office; I have never had to wait beyond my appointment time, which says a lot about how they run their practice. Dr. Alman is "the guy", whatever your dental needs may be. His cosmetic dentistry is "naturally"perfect. He has an artistic ability that sets him aside from all others in his field. Most importantly, he listens to his patients' wishes and delivers! my family and I have been going to Dr. Steve for over 20 years. The staff is wonderful. Steve has a great bedside manner and is very thorough as is his staff. I have had several great hygienists there. Casey has been in the practice for as long as I have been going and she is excellent! I could go on and on about so many wonderful individuals there including Elisa, Debbie, and Cindy, to name a few. The office is spotless and attractive. He strives for the most comfortable and diligent treatment around, his work is flawless and he never hesitates to see a patient for an emergency after business hours. With an extended family of 8 or more dental patients ranging from 6 to 90 years old, he has treated all of us which included at times care that required very extensive work with complicated treatment plans. Dr Alman is by far the best dentist in boca and possibly the entire east coast. Dr. Alman is most terrific and accessible in emergency dental care. Several years ago, my daughter returned from a cruise with a broken front tooth. Dr. Alman and his staff saw her immediately upon arrival into Ft. Lauderdale and rectified the problem in a professional expedient manor.
