Without going into a lot of detail, I have a corporation, several small businesses and the need for a lot of coverage and various policies. My insurance agent of decades sold their practice, the company that took over was asleep at the wheel, and I discovered a lot of exposure and careless errors. I was on the hunt for an excellent insurance company to manage my portfolio and Darren from Whins has been amazing thus far. My excellent service started not with an attempt to convert my policies over so that they can make a commission, but rather getting on the phone and making sure that underwriting had the proper information. This is without them trying to make a commission, just simply making sure that I, the client had the best solution for my immediate needs. That speaks volumes to the integrity, and basic work ethic of the company. I'm still early on in the process but as I migrate my portfolio over, I am getting better coverage for less money, again, that wasn't the original goal, but I am certainly delighted. Yesterday, May 12th, I called again and spoke with Josh, who once again told me I would receive a callback. Today, May 13th, after still hearing nothing, I called back yet again. Josh blamed the delay on Jose, saying Jose was supposed to call me. Jose eventually called, made excuses, and again stated he still could not provide a quote even though my renewal is only days away. When I asked to speak with a supervisor, Jose stated he was the supervisor. I then asked who his supervisor was, and he said someone named Val, but told me they did not want to speak with me directly and that I could email Jose and he would forward it. I was planning on bringing over three policies, and the only reason I continued pursuing this was because of the strong reviews I had seen online. Unfortunately, the level of communication and customer service I experienced did not reflect those reviews at all. I understand businesses get busy, but my time is just as valuable as theirs. In the end, I will be taking my business elsewhere, which is unfortunate because I truly tried to be patient and understanding throughout the process.
