After we discussed…read moremy desire to gradually taper off an anti-anxiety medication due to withdrawal symptoms, he sent in a prescription for half the usual dose without warning or explanation. When I called to clarify, he became defensive and abruptly told me he no longer wanted to work with me--leaving me without support mid-treatment. He also brought up a previous prescription from another provider in a way that felt shaming and judgmental, which was especially upsetting given the stigma already surrounding these medications. When I became visibly upset and was crying on the phone, he showed no empathy or concern. Mental health patients deserve providers who can communicate clearly, offer compassion, and act with professionalism--especially in moments of vulnerability. I truly hope he can reflect on this experience, learn from it, and treat future patients with the respect and care they deserve.

I previously was diagnosed with ADHD in my late teens and have had ongoing attention and focusing issues. With my workload increasing I knew I needed to find a doctor help me regain my balance. I really liked Dr. Bercot's style and approach, helping me understand the dopamine level changes that occur in individuals with ADD and how the proper self-care and medication can help bring this back to natural levels. He also highlighted many of the positive aspects of ADD, such as being empathetic, intuitive, creative, abstract problem solvers, innovative (and the list goes on). If you're in need of a Phychiatrist to help you find the best version of yourself, I strongly encourage you to choose Denver Mind and Wellness.

She listens well and asks a lot of questions so she can really get to know you, and your health story. I believe that this is of the utmost importance when piecing together health mysteries. When labs came in she discussed them with me thoroughly and took the time to make sure that I understood what they meant. She developed plans of action for my treatment and was always looking outside of the box for tests, and care she could give pertaining to my health. She genuinely cared how my treatment went. Comparing day 1 to final treatment is nearly a night and day difference. We opted to complete the 3-minute (I believe that was the time) version of treatment daily. The time went by quickly, especially since the team was super friendly and would chat with us. I have to give a huge shoutout to Sydney and Grace since we worked with them 99% of the time (along with Dr. Clinch, of course) and they are sincerely the coolest people. Their demeanor is merely icing on the cake to the top notch care provided at Inspire TMS. While treatment is incredible, progress doesn't stop there. You have to actively put in the work to improve your wellbeing. That might be easier said than done, but it seems more and more possible as treatment continues. I'm happy to report that instead of having 6.5 out of 7 bad days a week, my husband is much happier and on average has 1 bad day a week. That's a significant improvement, not just for him, but for the people in his life who care about him (i.e. less worrying for us).

Initially, I was one of the few who did not see results--so Dr. Clinch adjusted, tried other things, and after completing my treatment, I felt like the best version of myself. Told me I could not have socks WiFi toothbrush toothpaste. Well I hope you get the picture. After filling out many forms, they put me in clothes designed for prison and took me up to my ward. It was a windowless cell with a flat prison style bed. My roommate said that she had been there since November, hallucinating the whole time. Then, I said "enough ". I came here for a safe place to detox. Primarily it is a mental health hospital for pretty severe patients. People were self-stimming, talking to someone only they saw, arguing with nobody. I totally blame Kaiser as they suggested going there due to my alcohol withdrawal needs. They have no idea of what they're recommending. Professionals who talked with me said that they want to leave and that it was inappropriate for me to be there. I'm a 77 year old woman who just wants to withdraw safely and this has really set me back.
