The Service Department at Steve Hahn Auto Group is not honest or trustworthy! On Dec. 17, 2025 I took my Kia Sedona into Steve Hahn Auto Group for the 90,000 mile service prior to going on a 4000 mile road trip the following week. I received our vehicle back with a noisy power steering pump which it did not have prior to the service. Brandon Winward, the service writer, said they did not touch the power steering system and did not take responsibility for the problem. Mr Winward lied! One of the service items was to replace the spark plugs and to do this, the intake manifold must be removed. The power steering hoses are attached to the back side of the intake manifold and the hoses have to be removed from the manifold. I had to have the power steering pump replaced in Phoenix which cost $1723.98. I sent Jared Lingle, the Service Manager an email and followed up with a phone call asking for reimbursement and never received a reply. Think twice before purchasing a New Car from Steve Hahn Auto Group because the service department is totally unreliable and dishonest! read more

My car had more damage after they serviced it than there was when I first brought it in. I towed my car in with a blown motor which is a recall issue for my specific model. They neglected to tell me when I dropped it off that it would take over a month to fix. I guess (based on their policy) they consider 5 weeks to be "a timely manner." The staff had reached out to me once after running a diagnostic and ordering parts. From then until pickup (5 weeks later), I hadn't received a single communication from anyone at this facility. Other reviews talk about a "service advisor" who communicated with them. Apparently my service advisor's name was Taylor, but they never reached out. The only reason I even have the name of this service advisor is because I escalated this issue up to Director of Operations. No one called, texted, or emailed anything to me throughout the 5 weeks they had my car for. To have my car out of my possession for weeks while no one gives me any updates was a terrible customer experience. I had called the location myself on numerous occasions looking for updates. The majority of my calls were either hung up while waiting on hold, answered and then immediately hung up on, or transferred to the wrong department entirely. I wasted countless lunch breaks trying to get an update only to end up with nothing from their non-communicative staff. Upon receiving my car, I got a multi-point inspection. The inspection came back saying my radiator was displace "due to impact." I found this to be surprising because my car had never had any impacts or accidents previously. Luckily, I took my car to another auto shop in Ellensburg prior to towing it to Steve Hahn's where they were able to verify that my radiator was not out of place when they had it. Seeing that the car was towed to Steve Hahn's (w/o a radiator issue), I know for a fact that the service department is responsible for this damage. Despite this, they tried to charge me over $600 to get it fixed. On top of that, Trent in the service department suspiciously instructed me to "not mention the radiator to corporate" if I chose to file a complaint. The reason he stated was that my service might not be covered under warranty if Kia thinks my radiator caused my motor to blow up. Since the car was diagnosed and the warranty was verified over a month prior, I found this to be an unethical attempt at covering up their workmanship errors. When I escalated this issue, Jared Lingle said he was willing to see the evidence I had. Within minutes of getting off the phone, he proceeded to block my email so I couldn't send him this info. I tried calling Kia corporate about it and they said that "only the independent locations handle workmanship issues." In addition to the radiator they damaged, I also had a dead battery, a leaking wiper fluid bottle, an oil leak, brakes hanging on by a thread, and a clogged CAT. None of this was caught in their multi-point inspection, and I'm positive these issues were not present when I towed the car to them. Within 4 hours, my car was back in the service department but this time at George Gee's Kia in Liberty Lake, WA. They were skilled enough to catch these problems in their multi-point inspection. George Gee's Kia did the exact same inspection within 24 hrs of picking up my car from Steve Hahn's Kia, but Steve Hahn's didn't catch any of these issues which speaks to the lack of skill in their service department. To the Steve Hahn's Kia staff, I wouldn't come back to your location for service if it was my only option in the whole PNW. I'd rather tow my car across state lines to go elsewhere after the horrible service I received. Your customer service and communication are non-existent. Your service department is shady, inept, and has no regard for handling vehicles safely. Based on Kia's policy, you can damage my car while it's getting serviced, and so long as Jared says it's not your fault, you can get away with it scot-free. For this reason, Kia has lost me as a customer, and I hold Steve Hahn's Kia solely responsible for this. read more

They trick you into getting their insanely priced dealership package that they say is mandatory to get when it isn't. They use foul language. They are incredibly unorganized and have absolutely no idea what they're are doing when it comes to customer service. They are great at scamming you out of your hard earned money and refusing to help you any further once they made their sale. I've never seen such a s**t show of a dealership. After we brought the vehicle home we contacted them about getting a back up key ordered, and to get the number of an auto paint company who could paint the trim the salesman said he'd get us. I have had a few experiences here and finally decided to quit giving them chances. It started in 2016 when I bought a Kia there. It was fast, easy and got great service on the sales side. I went in to get a service in early 2017. I went to pick my car up and he said it was out front. It was not. I went back inside. He said let me have one of the guys get it for you. 20 minutes later I went and asked. He said oh it should be out there.. here are the keys. It was not out there. It was out back and had not been washed or vacuumed which is part of the service. I filled out a survey and never heard back. In 2018 I had a software update so take my car in. They get that done and this time wash the car for me and leave it out front. They left my passenger window OPEN and my passenger seat and dash was soaked. I again filled out a survey. They called me this time to follow up on my survey. I asked her what she does with survey results and she said she didn't know... what?!! So what's the point of the survey? In 2019, I give them a final chance. A simple oil chance. Scheduled online a week or 2 in advance. I note that I will be waiting there for my car. He told me it would be at least an hour and half. I asked why since I made an appointment. He said they had walk ins and just sent someone to lunch. I feel like when you have scheduled customers you have to know how to manage your employees schedules better. I would probably buy a car there but never use the service department. read more

If I could give them a 10 out of 5 I would! Had an amazing experience so far! I am from Tacoma and called to see if they happened to have the elusive Sportage Hybrid SX Prestige. I talked to the sales manager Chris Holt who went above and beyond to find one for me. He managed to track one down and they did a dealer trade that was in the other dealerships favor just so they could get my dream car! Not only that, but they gave me an amazing deal on my trade in as well. On top of that, Chris is personally going to drive it over since we have a young daughter and can't take a full day to go over to Spokane. Then we talked to Chelsey Lizotte, the finance manager, who got us an AMAZING APR and payments. They both worked so hard to make this dream car a reality for my family. Everything negative that I have read online about Steve Hahn's Auto Group appears to be true. I simply cannot believe that after informing my salesperson that I wanted to buy the car I was looking at on their lot and submitting our information for total costs (tax/title/license with our 800+ credit ratings) they sold the car to someone else who waltzed in the doors significantly after us. Wow! Epic fail of our salesperson Kimberly Alvarado for being sloth-like in responding to our desire to buy the car and for not advising the other salespeople that she already had customers who wanted to buy the car. Please read the reviews for the auto group carefully online. I was warned that the customer service at SHAG was awful, but still decided to deal with them and then THIS happened. Lol. It is shocking. I have decided that perhaps I dodged a bullet with this dealership because if they can treat customers this poorly before the car is purchased, I can only imagine what they are like after. The WORST unprofessional dealership in Yakima. Martin- (Manager), Salvador-(salesperson), Mary Jo- (finance) Erik (finance), Manni (salesperson); have a HUGE gap of miscommunication when it comes in beginning and ending a deal with a buyer. Long story short: DONT come here. They will Scam you! I recently moved to Yakima Wa, didn't really have a lot of employment history locally and had fair credit. I explain this to Salvador and Martin they said it wasn't a problem to finance a vehicle. (Kia Forte 2020) On November 24 Martin and Salvador took the liberty to lower the interest and downpayment without consulting the finance department for approval from a bank and I fell for it because I trusted them were doing their job and I took the vehicle home. Days went by Mary Jo (finance) kept saying she was waiting for the bank to review my paperwork because I had a previous loan that was paid off; I knew this was an absolute lie because the bank responses no later than three days. Once again, I fell for it because I trusted them. After I was emailing her and calling and no response from her. I decided to go to the dealer on December 3rd. Now it wasn't Mary jo taking over, it was Erik (finance) during our conversation he said that a bank "had approved" the loan for the vehicle and was asking "JUST" to confirm my income. I ask for a letter that confirms the approval. He said that he can't because he needed to call the bank to ask for more information. A few hours later, I received a call from him saying "We have the approval and the bank just needs to see proof of income" and Finance will call me when they needed that. Mary jo had that information but never gave it to Erik. Up to this point, I had three Red Flags. On December 7th, I received a Text message from Manni (Salesperson), which was very unprofessional from his part. A phone call would show their professionalism and informality. He said, "its Manni from Steve Hahns VW can you come in we've got great news". Well, the GREAT news was, I wasn't approved for the vehicle I was driving and needed to return it but I was approved with a different vehicle but with a higher interest and payment. This was ridiculous! I could have saved my time and avoid hard inquiries in my credit. If you want to get a spot to deliver, and then return the vehicle this is the right place for you! read more

I was on the market for a car and I had a budget of about 12k, but I told the guy on the lot I only had 8k. Showed me to a VW Jetta, looked great. Took it for a test drive, right out of the lot you could tell the clutch was burnt up and it also had an idle problem. I told him that it had a transmission issue and he told me "That's just how a manual VW drives", I just kinda shrugged and pulled over to let him drive. Then he kills it at the Safeway intersection, it was hard not to laugh. He said he could give me the car for 5,990 even though it had a 9k price on the window. Seemed pretty shady, wouldn't admit that the car was wrecked but the trim was missing on the front end and the hood fit a little too tight when I tried to pop it. It's very frustrating having someone lie to your face even as you give them evidence to show them what they are saying is untrue. My family had warned me about this dealer but I wanted to check it out for myself. *3/17/14 Received a few messages from user Maile R. concerning my review of this dealership asking questions about the review and why it was so awful, which is explained in the review itself, she also inquired if I still lived in Yakima. I had nothing but horrible luck and dealings with this company and I am not sure where to start. First it took almost 6 months to get a simple owners manual. I was constantly told it will be here soon, yah right, nothing but lies. Then when I had service done, they started changing out sensors and all kinds of other things without asking and cost me a couple extra hundred dollars. After that I was stupid enough to go back to try and fix a transmission problem to only get charged way to much and actually have change and money stolen from my car on top of other tools out of my car that was in the trunk. When I confronted the manager on duty they said they would "look into it." Needless to say nothing was done after calling multiple times and getting the run around, crooks of the lowest order of scum I say. Any person I have ever known that has done business with them says the exact same thing. To sum up the service department, bad attitudes, disrespect, unprofessional behavior, thieves, & liars. The guy we worked with was rude and the financier that works for them is unwilling to budge. They only gave us 2 offers which required us to come up with $5000 cash!! The finance department is sketch! My wife and I were first time home owners, and we were a few weeks away from closing. We needed a car, realizing that we couldn't until after closing, but we decided to go on the hunt a little early to see what we liked. Once we test drove a few cars the finance department kept putting pressure on us to buy today. Saying that it wouldn't matter if we closed or not, it wouldn't change our DTI ratio until after we already closed and no one would care. The guy even staked his life on it, claiming that he was a realtor for several years. He also claimed to know our realtor, and insulting him saying that he only advised us not to buy to look out for himself. Not only was our realtor a close family friend of ours but he was not wrong. They did a last minute check at the end to make sure everything lined up before closing, and had we bought the car, we would be homeless because of this jackass. The pressure he put on for his own personal interest was insidious. Do not go to Steve Haun for anything. We thought we would test it out for ourselves despite warnings against them from others. Awesome service here. Had a tire wear issue and Trent brought me back to my car up on the rack and we discussed how to setup the alignments to prevent tire wear and preserve handling with the constant driving and 3 kids in our passat and everyone was awesome, knew exactly what we needed to do and communicated well. They offer great oil change prices and check filters while they are at it. At the end I was offered to waive today's cost when we had an issue with my card used for repairs not working and that was very standup and unexpected.
