Such a gem of a comic shop with deep selection and great price! I'm new to comics and the owner, Mike, was very friendly to my newb questions; he's got 30 years of experience in the hobby and can speak about new trends and fads as well as things that never grow old in the hobby. Out of the hundred or so comic book stores I have visited in California, this is my favorite. Mike is really friendly and highly knowledgeable. I really love the strong emphasis on comics. They have toys and other merch, but the comics selection is top notch, fairly priced and everything from Golden age to this week and everyone from Marvel/DC to obscure underground and international comics. Been buying comics from Mike for over 20 years and have never had a problem. He always tries to take care of his customers and has a good selection of new and old comics. If you have a pull file at another shop you should have it moved over here as he never charges you more than cover price for hot new (non variant) comics on your pull list. read more

So glad I was finally able to make the trip from Pasadena up to Mike's fantastic store. The store is very well organized and well lit, with a floor plan and shelving set up that makes it extremely easy to see and browse all the new releases, graphic novels, and related tchotchkes. So when I found out he had opened his own store, it was a no brainer for me to go. Card games and Pokémon stuff? Nope! Yelling kids running around? Nope! Comics, graphic novels and comic book related items? Yes! The store is always neat, clean and is meticulously organized. Avoid this place! They never have the things items that I can find anywhere else. Need a playmat tube? They're out. Want to buy an MTG booster box? They're probably out. Want a binder to hold your card sleeve pages? They're out. I've had to go to a small hole-in-the-wall shop, and it had everything I needed and more. Last weekend, I called Mike when it was a bit busy, but he still took time to write down a list of individual comics I was looking for. I received an email from him within an hour, we settled payment over the phone, and I had my package--handled by our somewhat crazy USPS--two days later.
