I was a bit hesitant because we've been going to the same eye doctor for over 20 years (well, I have anyway). I was checked in and told to wait "in the back," which I never knew existed for anyone other than employees! The waiting area was clean and decently pleasant. I was called for my exam within ten minutes of sitting down, playing on my iPhone. The equipment was more up-to-date than at my former eye doctor's office, and everything just seemed brighter. Once done with the preliminaries, I was back in the waiting room. Only for five minutes, then I saw "Dr. Jody." She was cordial (not overly friendly/warm) nand we zipped through my exam quite nicely. Got bumped up a "notch" for my far vision. Oh well - aging s*cks! Back to the front waiting area. I was called within ten minutes and then ordered my new contacts. I paid with my FSA card - no problem. Now, I'm hoping my literal last pair of contacts in my eyes hold out until my newbies come in! (I'm not a fan of glasses, although I have four pair!).

The staff at the front desk was super friendly and happy to take a look, even though this wasn't a normal appointment or purchase. Dr. Moon was great. The screws on my old metal frames were incredibly tight, but he knew exactly what to do. He loosened them up and carefully transferred my lenses into the new frames in just a few minutes. What I thought might turn into a hassle ended up being quick and easy, and I appreciated how patient and professional he was. The whole visit reminded me why it's worth going to a good local optician. Because of how helpful everyone was, I definitely plan to come back later this year for my annual eye exam and to get new frames and progressive lenses through them. It's nice to find a place that treats people well and pays attention to the details.

I've been a loyal customer here since the Dr. Finch days and the era of the incredibly cool Dave. Even though Dave has retired and his wonderful daughter Jamie now runs the business from behind the scenes, you can absolutely still feel their standards living on through the staff. I walked in fresh from my 'bad breakup' with that other place, and Lex immediately swung into action. She actually repaired my old glasses on the spot (new nose pads and a tighten-up) so I had something to wear while waiting for my order. Then she whisked me over to the contact lens specialist (I am mortified that I forgot your name--please forgive me, I promise to get it right when I pick up my order!) and then to Kim, their amazing Optician. I ended up going all in: transition lenses with new frames AND prescription sunglasses. The whole experience reminded me why I loved interacting with Dave all those years ago. Lesson learned: You can't put a price on this kind of care. This is why supporting local, family-owned businesses is so important. I'm back for good!

Eye exams were not an option, and I was worried about not being able to order enough contacts to get me through the craziness of next few months/year. I mean, sheltering in place was bad enough...did I need to be blind while doing so? Dr. Goldschneider wrote me a script which allowed me order enough contacts for the year. I was so incredibly grateful. I knew this man would be my Optometrist for life! Fast forward to 2021, I made an appointment at his office to meet him in person for my overdue eye exam. The space is BEAUTIFUL. Modern furniture, fixtures, and equipment. And so clean you could eat off the floor. The staff was so warm and knowledgeable. I love visiting healthcare offices where the staff seems genuinely happy to be there! Safety precautions were followed, equipment was sanitized, and everyone was wearing a mask. Patient visits are staggered so no one is hanging around the waiting area. My eye exam was extremely comprehensive. The complete health of your eyes is taken into account.
