He went over every detail of the truck--introduced us to the service department---took us to finance, and after purchase he still wasn't done. The last time we purchased a truck the salesman was done once we went to finance. But Thomas took us out to truck and went over all the features ---it was super clean and full of gas. Frank's said they couldn't get to it that day(which I learned dealing with Frank's means it wouldn't take long for them to get to my car.) Carlus initially gained my business by telling me he could start on my car right away. Approximately three days passed before he contacted me to tell me the issue and almost another week for him to fix the problem. Carlus then tells me he has other cars and he's working alone. That's understandable but that's not what I was told initially. I made a mental vow to never return. I started dealing with Frank's. When Frank's said they couldn't get to it right away, I gladly told them "that's cool" which resulted with them contacting me within an hour to tell me the issue. Also Frank's has never had my cars longer than two days regardless of the job. I had a neighbor whose Honda Civic wouldn't start even with a jump and a new battery. Frank's was closed so I reluctantly towed it to Aymonds. Again three days go by but this time I didn't find out any information until I decided to walk by. The key needed reprogramming and it was a service Carlus couldn't perform. We had to call Pop A Lock. You'd think he'd let me know the first day. The most egregious event happened recently. With the closing of Frank's and still trying to utilize a shop within walking distance, I reluctantly spoke with Carlus about changing my radiator, transmission, brake, and differential fluid on my silver CTS. When Carlus asked about the engine fluid, I replied"it's not time to change it and I can perform that job myself." I delivered the car early Tuesday 7/14/26. I mentioned I was leaving town and would return Friday 7/17/26. I didn't receive any communication during that time. I arrived at the shop around 9a on 7/17/26 and was told the car wasn't ready because he had to drill out a rusty oil plug for the differential. I then received a phone call twenty minutes later saying the plug came in and now the car is ready. Something about that didn't seem right. I also suspected that no fluid changes had been performed but I couldn't prove it with these closed systems. On the morning of 8/1/26 I drained the engine oil from the oil pan as usual. The oil filter is on top of the motor. I tried unscrewing the oil filter cap and it wouldn't budge. I tried using my body against the breaker bar, an impact wrench and attempted to chisel the cap off but nothing worked. I've had two of these vehicles and changed the engine oil myself in the past six years. I've never tightened that oil filter cap to that point. It's very suspicious that I had an issue with a system that wasn't supposed to be touched in the first place. Bring your car here at your own risk! You can throw that "veteran owned" out the window because Carlus is aware that I'm a veteran also. Not to mention, what I was handed as a receipt says "estimate."

He said tow it to the shop if we can get it there before 10. We got there at 9:15. Carlus changed the pump and filter and had us ready to go a little after 10. First of all....Donald Anderson AKA DON sold me a dangerous car that would swing into oncoming…read moretraffic. I thought it was the struts and took it to a shop and was told that it was a 2016 Hyundai Alantra with only 38thousand miles on it. It may have other issues. He told me to do a CarFax on it and when I got home and did the CarFax I found 6 reports on the car. The frame is bent that's why the car would swing so bad. It was a death trap. I recently bought it in September of 2017 and gave it back to Capital One right before Christmas. Messed up my credit from 640 to 501. Sorry sacks of Shit!!!!! All they cared about was getting a sell. The car came with one key, no floor mats and no spare tire or car jack. It also had a musty smell as if it was once in a flood. Most of their cars are recked/ refurbished cars and cars from previous floods. Don't buy a vehicle at Ville Platte Dodge!!!! I am getting a attorney about my situation. I am pissed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the Seller's talk a good game and once the papers are signed their done with you. Don is a old ass wantta be washed up pimp. They got me good but God will have the final say!!!! They are quick to make a video with you to post on Facebook and YouTube to get more customers before you can even get into the car to know if it's good or not. I have a new car with John R Young in Eunice Louisiana through GM Financial and had not one issue with that car to this day thanks to the good Lord!!! I Was given two keys, a spare tire and jack. Even floor mats. The people at John R Young are very professional. Please stay away from Ville Platte Dodge And Mr Donald Anderson. He will sell you a stone with that mouth. He's real good at his job too. Devil in sheeps clothing. Fuc@ you VPDodge with a ten foot pole up your scamming asses with those used lemon Cars (where the recked cars are refurbished and resold for Real) is what their slogan should've said . ((William save the bullshit!!)) y'all tried to charge me $95 dollars just to look at the car. And tried to charge me $300 dollars for a key when I called about getting another key. When I gave the car up, I canceled the insurance on 12/20/2017 the car was picked up as it shows in the picture on 12/27/2017. The next month I received a letter in the mail from my insurance company saying that the car was involved in an accident on 12/27/2017 which was the day the tow truck guy came pick it up. I have the papers videos and pictures to prove it. Y'all knew that car was dangerous and I am not the first one to complain about y'all selling a dangerous car to. There are many others I have talked to since giving that car back complaining about the same things and getting their money back from y'all so stop with the wantta be innocent game there is nothing nice nor innocent about y'all or yalls business. Y'all were not interested in helping me with the car issues so stop. The car ran great the only issue was the bad swinging at the back and it was never in any kind of accident by me so you can kick rocks with your out of shape ass. Y'all all are nothing but trash using the blacks there to lure in more black customers to scam with those to shit used cars. You know y'all sell trashy cars so stop. Go get weight loss surgery so you can drop some pounds and lose the belly you trash box y'all most likely had that CarFax report fixed. I'm not the first to have these issues and I unfortunately I won't be the last. If people go to y'all for a car try to sell them a new one so they don't end up with these issues. I'll stick with John R Young in Eunice. They sell great quality cars. And to say I had called them first but they didn't contact me back until the next evening. By that time I had done went to y'all sorry asses and signed papers after only putting down $250 dollars. Then y'all kept the car for that whole month and knew about the swinging and did nothing but so say did a front end alignment. Right!!!! The back swung very bad. Stop with the bullshit. I went pay towards my down payment every two weeks until the end of that month and got the car. As the weeks went by it started swinging again. As time went on it got worser. Y'all all are complete trash selling trash and y'all know it. And to think y'all were trying to get me to recommend y'all for more sales. Please!!!!! Never that! Stop being so damn thirsty for sales. I should have did a review check on y'all before buying anything with y'all. Hopefully y'all will go out of business for scamming people with y'all junk cars. Try to stick to only selling new and y'all won't have any of theses problems chumps!!!! I am done

TLDR: Never buy a car from ville platte dodge…read more Their cars seem great, especially ones with only a few thousand miles on them. They are likely wrecked. I was sold a car that i was told was not wrecked. I noticed a small rust spot, a missing drain plug, and a mildew smell. Was told "it must have gotten wet from the car wash" and they would clean it, and replace the plug. (They never did) Once i noticed mold growing on my carpet, i took it elsewhere in Lafayette and they were super helpful. They informed us the car had been wrecked, and replaced the drain plug. With the drain plug intact and no where for the water to go... The next rain left my car with a river under the floor board. The damage from the wreck was poorly repaired, leaving my car with rust, moisture, and mold. When looking into reports, it said the wreck caused very minor damage which is usually scrapes and cosmetics. This damaged the frame of my car, causing it to not seal correctly, leaving me to believe there are repairs made under the table so it wouldn't report the severity of the damage. When talking to them about how i was unsatisfied, i was met with the "as is" clause. I understand legally they do not have to take any action. They just wanted to sell me another car. I do not trust any cars on their lot. I would never recommend this dealership to anyone.
