Two weeks ago, i had my car towed to this shop because my starter went out.. Instead of them informing me they were going to put a remanufactured starter on my car, well they just did it and didn't say anything. Well when i picked my car up it had a funny sound when cranking it, so went back there, they admitted to putting a remanufactured starter but also said if i wanted a new starter i had to an additional $100. Now mind you they charged me $278.99 for remanufactured starter, when i could have gotten a brand new one $239.99.. Just make sure to question if your parts are NEW OR REMANUFACTURED because they won't tell you. If the starter wouldn't have been making the noise it's making i wouldn't have known either... I NORMALLY DON'T WRITE REVIEWS BUT THIS ONE WAS NEEDED .. read more

I have purchased new tires, oil changes, repairs, etc on my 2007 Toyota Tacoma. Always pleased with prices and service. My truck had almost 500,000 miles on it when I replaced it in Nov. I will continue to use Danny's when my warranty expires with Toyota. read more

Good times were had by all on Saturday. The food and drinks were free flowing. The collectors cars were there for viewing. It was a great way to attract some attention to your shop. I hope you've been running well Danny. read more

Danny's Tire World Tire Pros - Auto Repair Near Me - Opelousas, Louisiana

Fast and great service. Most importantly an honest place to get work done. Was able to get in and out quickly

Don't go there for tires, they will give you one price, then charge you another. I went and was told $355.31 for two tires install but they had to order them on Friday and they would be in on Monday. I return on Monday to have them install. when I went to pay my bill, I was told it would $797.00, the two tires were warrant and they have to keep the old tires. the guy who order my tires came in from lunch and wouldn't say a word. so they took the new tires off and put the old tires back on my veh. I will never shop there again. Paul Gennuso no stars read more

These people have stranded me out of town, I needed a simple patch, they failed to call when it was complete and are too lazy to work Saturday so they have my keys, truck, and tools over the weekend. read more

I don't take the time write negative reviews, but I must warn people that something that should be a courtesy or minimal cost is grossly over charged by this business. Specifically, charging $56 to read a check engine light code. Expensive lesson learned, buy my own ODB2 scanner or take my car to an Autozone, Napa Auto or a Walmart Service center for a free code read. Danny's didn't even offer a free code scan if I did the needed repair with them. A complete and utter rip-off taking for a 1-2 minute task. If they do that for the simplest of problems, how much do they overcharge for serious repairs? read more

My mother called them before 3 pm to come help her fix a flat tire she had gotten. They said they'd finish the current job they were on and then be there to help her. It is now over 12 hours later and they are finally getting to her. They left her stranded overnight because they don't care about people apparently. They're only getting one star because I have to give at least that many. If I could, I would give them negative stars. Luckily, she was in a travel center parking lot and not in the side of a dark road. Shame on them, though. I hope the tires on their cars never hold air. I hope their remote control batteries never stay charged. And I hope they never get a good night sleep knowing that they left a woman alone to sleep in her car. read more

Tire blew out on the interstate. As a young women alone I was so grateful to find a safe, reliable shop that had my tire in stock. Front desk gentleman was so kind and patient with me. They even let my dog sit in the lobby. A little more expensive than I would have hoped but, I'd pay that 100 times to receive that service. read more

This place caused me several hundreds of dollars in damage to my vehicle. I had to bring my car to get the tires rotated only to find that Danny's tire world over tightened the lug nuts so hard that the lug nuts were damaged to the point that they had to be torched off of the hub. This resulted in me having to buy 4 completely new rims for this car. I would not bring my vehicle to Danny's to even put air in my tire now! read more

Very slow (1.5 hours for tire patch) Morning mgr is rude. Will not bring my car back! read more

Theyy too great care of me on my way to Dallas highly recommend! I was having car issues they went to work right away to solve them and they also have reasonable prices read more

Unfortunately this is the closest place to go for tire issues around here. Front desk has communication issues and does not inform the customers of accurate wait times. Every hour I asked for an update, 20 mins...6 hours later still waiting!!!!! Very sad that companies think they can treat people and disregard people's times like this. read more

They actually saved the day. We drove from Houston to mobile for one of two funerals, made it through the floods of the Sabine river, and the engine light came on. Pulled in, bad alternator, and oh yeah the strong winds had actually bent one of my wiper blades while driving. Explained the situation and wow. New parts were there in 20 minutes and we were out the door in an hour! Price was good, definitely better than I would pay in Houston. Thanks again guys for getting my wife to her fathers funeral. read more

I came here for a brake job. I left needing a wheel alignment. BAD. Like, my car was jumping to the shoulder of the road when I let go of the wheel. My car was fine before I took it here. I took it back and they claimed it braked straight, therefore they did their job. Never should have let them know I was making a trip the next morning. No way could I drive the car in that bad condition for 4 hours. They make sure they get repeat business by tampering with your car so something else goes wrong with it. My roommate had a similar experience. They replaced the rotors. One was faulty. Refused to believe her until she forced her way back in the shop and showed the manager the defective rotor. Will never take my car here again and I advise everyone I know to stay away. I'm amazed they are still in business; guess other people haven't figured out they've been had. You all know now! read more

I called for replace two ball joints and alignment. I was given a price. I check the price and it was competitive with other shops. So I decided to bring it to them. When I got to the shop I mention the price and the salesman said yes. Well after the repairs the salesman left and another salesman gave me the bill. It was a 100$ more than originally quoted. Since the original salesman wasn't there I was told to pay the overcharged amount and call back Monday. Monday I called and talked to salesman and told me he would get with me and never return my call. I called again and excuse was made, so I talk to store manager and said he was going to research and call back. I waited till next day and no reply. So I called again after talking to shop manager he stated since it took longer that is why I was charge the 100$ more. This is the first place I've seen give a quote then go up on price when it takes longer to complete. I WILL NEVER COME BACK HERE AND NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE. THERE ARE ALOT OF BETTER SHOPS THAN THIS PLACE! PLUS AFTER REPAIRS STEERING IS HARD TOO TURN, NO PROOF OF ALIGNMENT! NEVER COME HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO GET RIP OFF AND POOR REPAIRS. AT END OF DAY, OVERCHARGED AND POOR REPAIR. I WISH I COULD PUT NEGATIVE STARS... read more

they were supposed to be adding Freon in my car & only that . so once they add the Freon they come to me in the lobby & state that my car doesn't want to start . so i proceed to ask questions as anyone would & i never got an answer as to why my car is no longer working after it was serviced by your employees . everybody knows that when you pull up there you park in the front & one of the service men drive it to the back . so my car was able to be moved to the back why once it was serviced no one could tell me the problem . they checked under the hood & used computer diagnostics & everything was fine . Martial , Marcus whoever the manager is has a very nasty & utterly disgusting attitude . he could not answer any of the questions pertaining to my car & what they did to it . which resulted in an argument, after i exited the building he walks back to our other vehicle & says if we don't move the car he will have it towed after i stated to him i will have the car moved before i left . I've never had problems with this car , they play guessing games when it comes to your vehicle . he then proceeded to come back to the car & talk more noise for a second time . we were already out so at that point he had no business to continue walking up to my car as a manager you should be trying to de escalate a situation with a customer not walking up to their vehicle twice finishing off whatever you felt you didn't say when the altercation took place . read more

I had an issue with my Volvo while visiting family near Opelousas. I needed to get home (600 mile drive) and back to work. Took my car into Danny's tire world. They did not have the part in the store, but in an effort to accommodate our need to get home, they overnighted the part and installed it within 24 hours. Now we are on the road and couldn't be more thankful for the excellent service we received. They went above and beyond. Highly recommend and wish we had this service in our current place of living! read more

PERSONAL OPINION - STAY AWAY IF YOU ARE NOT LOCAL; if local and, in my opinion, dumb enough to go there - beware. As I pulled into Opelousas on a Friday evening, my car began to make a terrible racket in the rear end. I pulled into a motel so I could have someone check it out the next morning. A gentleman at the motel recommended Danny's and it was close by so I went there Saturday morning and asked them if they could check it out as there was a terrible racket coming from the rear end. The man there was very nice and said they could. In a few minutes he came in and said I needed both front and rear brakes. Told him I hated to do both, that I was on the way home from vacation and could I possibly get by with doing just one set. He said yes, that the front brakes were metal on metal and the back ones had a little pad left! I questioned him about this and told him that I believed that the racket was coming from the rear. He said "No, that the front brakes were metal on metal and was making the noise. Dumb me, trusted him and said OK, fix the front brakes! Now the racket the car was making was constant anytime it moved. Front brakes were replaced. I paid for them. I got in the car and started and the terrible noise was still there. Pulled back in and went in. First told, we told you that you needed rear brakes, too. A man said he would pull it back around and look at it again. 15 minutes after he got it on the rack, he came and said that a bearing in the rear wheel had gone out and I was going to have to have a new axle and he couldn't get one on Saturday. He did agree to let me leave it there until Monday when I could have it towed. Have relatives in Shreveport and they came and got me for the week end. On the way back down on Monday, I called and asked what exit they were off of on I49. The lady said exit 23! They were at exit 17. Of course no one admitted to that and I didn't get her name when talking to her. In my opinion, they are either incompetent or dishonest. read more
