During our last visit, we stayed at an air bnb that was really close to the Blacksmith - which is the other local coffee spot in town. After the initial shock wore off I remembered that just down the street there is the White Peacock, and I was overjoyed to find them open and full of happy baristas. The White Peacock has a really charming, comfortable, non pretentious vibe to it. It's bright, filled with local art, and really gives off a feeling of them wanting you to stay and enjoy your coffee. They offer are large variety of flavors and the last time I was here I picked out a cardamom iced coffee - I loved that they were paying homage to their swedish roots and had to try it. It was wonderful. I hate that I'm always such a skeptic when it comes to coffee in small towns, but the White Peacock has honestly proven me wrong so many times over the years it's earned those five stars. Pro tip: If you decide to come on a Sunday plan to wait in line since they are the only coffee shop open. I managed to time it just right but when I walked out the door the line was at least 10 folks deep!
