Well I started a Project to Tint my windows and Install a Dashcam. I begin searching on Yelp and I come across Stereo Base in Hayward. I happen to chat with Shams who is very informative and helpful. He informs me that they can do both Dashcam and Tinted Windows. My Project was for tinting windows is 50% front windshield 30% Driver and front Passenger then 20% Rear Passenger and Rear Window. I wanted the best product so it's Suntek Ceramic for tinting. Cost is $850 but Stereo Base is doing a Sale so it was $680. Then for the Dashcam Cameras they offered me Blackvue DR770X 3 Channel. To be installed and Hardwired cost $750 but then I sign up for 12 hour back up battery and a CM100 LTE Module. Total cost $1,813. At the Stereo Base Store I met up with a guy named Junior who's very informative and helpful. The Project took about a week 7 days. The first day was hardwiring the cameras and Window tinting. The Window Tint needed to cure 3-5 days no cleaning, no touching, no defrosting, no rolling down the window. On the last day finishing up and installing the cameras was about 6 hours. Overall everything was great they did a good Job. My only Question is, The Person Online to chat with was Shams and in the Stereo base store is Junior in whom I meet. I'm thinking could be Mr.Shams and Junior are the same person? after all Junior have online Yelp access with Mr.Shams Yelp Credentials. read more

Junior and the crew made a miracle happen. I have a 2001 Volvo V70XC and this car has zero extra space for discreet....anything. I camp in the back of this car and it's already cozy so not having to snuggle up to a subwoofer or amp is ideal. Though they'd probably be great on cold nights. We crawled all over the car and found with a little custom fab work we could mount a special sub IN the spare tire and have room for the factory storage tray and amp! TL;DR: Quick messaging through Yelp, very competitive pricing, great quality of work In November 2022, I had gone through Best Buy to purchase an after-market Pioneer that was capable of Apple Car Play. This all included installation, but I was just given the run around. It took several appointments, and ultimately after a January installation, the microphone cable was dangerously dangling in front of the driver pedals. Needless to say, it fell, and I stretched and broke the audio line from the mic to the Pioneer. I reached out over Yelp, and a few people got back to me, but Stereo Base responded most quickly, had the soonest appointments available, and at very competitive pricing. Also, they recommended that I reach out to Best Buy to see if it would be covered under warranty.(Best Buy HQ: "Not by default, but you can check with the local BB where it was installed." UGH, and not to mention I'd likely have to wait another 3 months for an appointment!) They also suggested I buy a microphone from Amazon to further reduce price. Stereo Base got me scheduled within a week and had it installed. It is two months later, and the workmanship is awesome. No cords are dangerously dangling at my feet, and the microphone works beautifully. I highly recommend coming here for your audio needs. For my 2018 VW GTI hatchback, I was interested in (1) tinting , (2) adding a physical kill switch, (3) hardwiring my security video camera (front and back). I already had the detector and camera and hardwiring kits, just needed tint, kill switch and installation of everything. I live in SF and because of the timing, distance and price, I ended up going somewhere closer for my tinting, but then came to Stereo Base for the other services. I picked Shams and the Stereo Base team because: (1) offered one of the few tint brands I wanted (even though it turned out to be a bit pricey in the end), (2) provided excellent advice on my tint job and what to keep an eye out for, which I thought was awesome for someone who wasn't getting my tinting business, (3) prompt and very transparent communication (there were zero surprises when I brought my car in and had the service done), (3) among lowest quotes for the kill switch and hardware installation. My overall experience was fantastic, and I'm writing this review 4 months later (after making sure everything still works). I had driven out from SF to the East Bay for them, and it was totally worth it. JR + team did a stellar job with the limo-style window tinting on my car. I met JR a day or so before my actual service when I was in the area for an errand. The info he gave me that day resulted in my final decision to go move forward with his window tinting services in a few days. On the day of service, I came in a little early so that my car would be able to get done quickly before JR + team got too busy for the day. There were 2 parties of customers ahead of me, so I had to wait quite a bit before checking in for my service. After getting an initial invoice and handing my car keys over, I decided to explore the neighborhood as waited for my car service to be completed. After I returned (~1hr), I saw that JR's team was already hard at work with the tinting service. I saw that it was a 2-man team. Unfortunately, JR informed me that my windows were dirty so time was taken to clean them up to provide a clean surface for tinting installations. This was fine for me since I had another errand to run. Within less than another hour, I got the call that my car service was completed. When I returned to the shop, I saw my car sunbathing and it had new shades on (tints) that made it look like an even better car than it was before! After paying and getting my receipt, JR and I also had the time to talk about video games. Seems like I need to comeback again to give him an update! It's been a couple of days since the initial service and the tints have almost completed the curing process. Right now I don't see any major bubbles. The minor ones from the 1st day seem to be gone.
