I explained what help I need : Preparing meals, cleaning, laundry and other small home care services. I need help only for a limited number of hours per week. The help they sent me filled exactly my needs. She is a hard worker who knows her way around a household and be it a simple task like cleaning or something unexpected and more difficult she will do it. She is honest and reliable and has a pleasant personality. She is easy going and you can have at any time a pleasant conversation with her. Once a month her supervisor comes to my home and I have a pleasant discussion with her about the service I get and about my personal physical condition and about how I take care of myself when I am alone. The professional advise I am getting from her is always helpful. George G.

Yes, I do my orders on line but when orders are mismanaged or a billing question arises one must reach out to a person. Knowing how poorly run the call in process is I tried on line "Chat". I waited the stated 3-5 business days for the promised follow up response in vain. I'd rather go to the dentist then call in but no reply to my Chat request what choice do I have? Customer service acknowledged Byram missed shipping last months (Aug 2021) supplies but promised it would go out expedited today(September 9 2021), we'll see. Billing eventually gave me the information I was looking for, All in All it took 2 hours of aggravation to do this, not acceptable, they must do better.

The woman speaking with me changed her tone after learning my plan was through marketplace, as I am self employed (and this is my only option for health insurance). She told me it was likely a pharmacy benefit. I had to argue with her that no, my plan says it's a DME benefit, and they gave me this phone number. Instead of signing me up, or taking any of my additional info, she was rude and told me I would need to figure out whether it was DME or pharmacy. (Yes- I spent 2 hours on the phone with my insurance before calling her, to figure this exact part out). I told her she wasn't explaining it well to me, because I already knew it was DME. She hung up on me. How unprofessional! I was shocked, and I called the next number on the list of providers and was signed up without any issues or unneeded judgement. Why did their customer service agent hang up on me, after doubting my benefits, and not even looking into them? Your customer service is costing your company business, full stop.

    What happens when your 94 year old mother who has 24 hour care from Westbury, NY Priority Home…read moreCare a subsidiary of Premier Home Health Care Services needs to go in the hospital for 7 days and is ready to go back to her assisted living facility. You are told both of her aides are on vacation and the have no substitutes available FOR 14 DAYS!!!!!!! My mother was very happy with the 2 aides she had and they provided good care and we want them back when they return from their well deserved vacations. My question was what if my mother had not gone in the hospital, wouldn't they have had a sub... When I called Nicole Bennetti of Priority care, she told me my mother's case worker who approved the vacation time for BOTH aides was no longer with the company. I assume fired for incompetence. What did Nicole tell me: call a new agency or put her in a nursing home for the short term until an aide is available. UNACCEPTABLE TREATMENT OF A 94 YEAR OLD WOMAN!!!!! AFTER A HOSPITAL STAY!!!!!!!!!! WHO IS ALREADY CONFUSED WHERE SHE IS. Anyone with common sense knows she needs to go back to her home environment.

From the very start there was a warm welcome and a feeling of trust and care shown to me to remove the apprehension of entering a facility. The staff from my first welcome until the day I'm writing this review have been nothing short of outstanding. Here at Burke you're not a faceless person. No, you're a human being with needs and wants in regards to being as functional as is humanly possible and the staff here will work with you to see your goals met. From my first day in therapy I was listened to. I really cannot say enough about the rehab team in its entirety because even though I was lucky enough to work with some stellar professionals, the entire rehab team exudes confidence and knowledge. The nursing staff that have cared for me did so with concern and compassion. I was so happy to see that. Nursing always responded, always cared and always approached with the utmost respect and professionalism and job know how. The support staff deserves a thank you also. Without the support staff to show an everyday patient kindness and courtesy really exemplifies the standard that is Burke Rehabilitation Hospital. Kudos to all here and a heartfelt THANK YOU Something to note...care and concern for patient safety is paramount here at Burke Rehabilitation. It took me an adjustment period to understand the reasons for the caution. Staff wants patients to be SAFE regardless of their level of function at home. I didn't realize that fact at first and now after several days of being here, I get it. Burke wants me going home better and stronger than when I arrived. So please understand if you are lucky enough to be here as a patient, staff puts you as a priority. Take it from me as a 6' 6" 300+ lb man that it was appreciated daily. To address the food as many have commented, I understood I was coming here for the medical and rehabilitation process which I can attest to is #1 hands down, the food came a distant second on my list of needs here. I'm appreciating the small weight management I've gotten here and I'll hopefully carry it through when I go home. The importance lies with how well you're treated and how far you will go in therapy.
