Most recently, I brought my cat in for an eye issue and was quoted over $600 for an exam, sedation, tests, and medication. The price immediately felt extremely high, especially for an eye infection, so I decided to call another veterinary clinic to compare. The other clinic examined both of my cat's eyes, and the total cost came out to under $120 including medication. They also determined that sedation was not necessary at all. My cat was calm, friendly, and even purring during the exam, which made me question why sedation was being pushed so strongly at the first clinic. This clinic does not allow pet owners to accompany their animals due to "safety protocols," so it left me wondering how my cat was being handled during the visit. Another frustrating part of the experience is that you don't actually speak directly with the doctor. All communication goes through the technician, who goes back and forth between you and the doctor. As a pet owner, I would much rather speak directly with the veterinarian responsible for my pet's care, instead of receiving information through a middle person. At the other clinic, the doctor was with me during the entire exam, explaining everything step by step, which felt much more transparent and reassuring. What also shocked me was that they mentioned charging a fee for each CPR attempt in case of an emergency. As a worried pet owner, hearing about additional charges like that felt extremely discouraging and overwhelming. Isn't the priority supposed to be protecting the life of the animal under their care? This unfortunately isn't my first bad experience here. During a previous visit, my cat needed a cast. After the procedure, she was still sedated and very sleepy, and the cast fell off immediately after we got home. She had barely moved, so it clearly wasn't my fault or my cat's fault. I called the clinic hoping they would fix it since it appeared to be an issue with how the cast was applied, but they charged me again to redo it. At the time I didn't push for a refund because my cat's wellbeing came first. Looking back now after this second experience, I truly feel I deserve a refund for that cast, since the issue was not caused by anything I did or by my cat. I do want to say that the front desk staff have always been kind and supportive, and I appreciate them. However, overall my experiences with this clinic have been very disappointing. I care deeply about my cat and want a veterinary office that is honest, transparent, and focused on the animal's wellbeing, not adding unnecessary services that dramatically increase the bill. There are other veterinary clinics in the area that provide great care without making pet owners feel this way. I strongly encourage others to seek a second opinion before committing to treatment here.

Maverick scared me this morning with the bloodiest diarrhea and no appetite and etc so off to the…read moreER we went The fronts communication was appreciated they had emergency surgery and worked with us to give us options and talked us through to finding best solution (to wait) for Maverick Then Heather was absolutely wonderful not only in communication and patience but EDUCATION and doing so with our shaming or guilting though I truly felt like a failure she was so reassuring and so very nice ! Dr. Soto was new to us but 100/10! She was so kind to Maverick (and the humans) both tech and doctor gave him space , moved slowly, let him adjust as needed and really communicated with us and worked with us to make this as easy for Maverick as possible! To our credit we are also very involved and more than willing to help to keep Maverick and the staff safe but not all places will allow the time or space for people to do that and are more just rushing along or through things but NOT HERE not today ! Serious Dr. Ortega's change to Mavericks pre sedation has been a game changer but I also think the approach and the vets make a HUGE difference in 9 years we have never had such positive experiences and we have been all over with him this is truly the most comfortable, reassured and trusting I've felt with vet's and Maverick! He is a special boy with re leg deformity which makes him more vulnerable so also more reactive but they do so well with him I cannot thank them enough I have raved about Dr. Ortega but Dr. Soto is just as amazing - these doctors are angels to crazy fur mommas like me ! Thank you thank you thank you to all that helped us today and every day ( I do think their care is what has kept Eleanor with us as long as we have had her and bought us not only time but GOOD time!)

They gave us the time necessary & consoled us during & after my dog was put to sleep. It means a lot when a place shows your pets needs matter. Thank you for caring for my dog til the very end.

Dr. Love seems to half ass his job. He killed my baby all because he wouldn't keep her after a…read morerattle snake bite or been honest with me.... Let me explain August 2024 my dog was bit by a rattle snake he was the second vet I went too he gave her meds and anti venin for the rattle snake bite and the necrosis she was having. He did not keep her he told me to come back in 3 days on the second day I wrote his vet tech that was helping me while I was at his office at 830 pm; I found her on Facebook because I was worried about my dog she was breathing heavy i was sending her videos and minutes later she's dead. A month later my cat gets bit by a rattlesnake that was in the house... I take him to an ER vet off Ridgecrest and I also explained what had happened to my dog and the vet there told me he should've kept my dog for observation because animals can go into heart failure like my cat experienced while he was at the ER vet. I lost my best friend because Dr Love couldn't be honest and say he could not keep her go to an ER. I would not trust him with anyone's fur baby.
