Everyone here is really nice! It was my husband's and my furst time here. They don't over schedule so they take their time with you. Daniel the dental assistant is very nice and Dr. Chen is so caring and thoughtful. He did an excellent job on our cleaning and filling out some root canals where the roots were already exposed. Dr. Chen and Dr. Julia are great! They really make you feel at home and are vary caring towards their patients. Dr. Julia actually went through my husbands medications (post transplant) with me and is going to confer with my husband's Primary Doctor about pre-medication. Most dentists or doctors won't go this extra step, when in doubt they just medicate without asking if it is really necessary. I for one don't like taking more antibiotics than necessary, so when Dr. Julia voluntarily asked to call my husband's Primary I was all for it. Dr. Julia and Dr. Chen are very conscientious. Their other staff members are also great. Everyone is always smiling and asking,"How you are doing?" Autumn, their Office Manager/Receptionist always greets you with a smile and asks if you want some tea. Besides their great customer service and conscientious work ethic, their office is always clean. Getting my teeth cleaned by Dr. Julia is always a breeze. She is very gentle and lets you know what she is going to do. I never drag my feet about going to the dentist anymore. I also love the goodies bag they give you after each visit. The sample size floss is perfect for carrying in your purse. Good thing Dr. Julia is younger than me because I plan on seeing her until I am old a decrepit. read more

As much as I've moved around I've never been able to find a dentist I like as much as those in California. It's now to the point that I just wait to get my teeth cleaned when I come home for a visit. Dr. Chen is a fabulous dentist and has really kept up with the latest and greatest in dentistry throughout the years. However, his daughter, Dr. Julia, is my dentist and has been providing me care since 2007 - back when she was in dental school! I love having a dentist who listens to my concerns, explains everything step-by-step and is gentile in the way she handles my teeth and mouth. Dr. Julia really is awesome. The practice moved to its current location about two years ago and is very well kept. The space doesn't look like much since it's in a strip mall but the space inside is large and clean. If your GPS routes you to the wrong side of the highway, just look for the CVS, the office is right beside it. read more

I made an appointment to see the dentist. Showed up filled out the paperwork, at which point they suddenly asked for a negative covid test. I said I was immune since i got covid a year and a half ago. They said they needed a more recent test that I was negative. To which I said I am immune but sure how recent do you need. He said to fly its 3 days recent. I said it would be nice if you told poeple they need a negative covid within 3 days to see you. When I see moronic I call it out. read more

My whole family has been coming to Dr. Chen for years. He has been my dentist for over the past 16 years. When I calculated how long I've been with Dr. Chen it made me feel pretty old, but I also realized how big of a part he played in my life. I started seeing him when I was in junior high school for orthodontic brace work. My crooked teeth were straightened out in no time and I have been smiling confidently ever since. I continued to see Dr. Chen for follow up. He's always been available to squeeze me into his schedule for dental emergencies. He even works over his lunch hour to see patients. My father recommended Dr. Chen and I am so grateful for it. Due to an overseas accident some years ago, I was sporting somewhat unsightly crowns on my two upper front teeth (#8 and 9). In addition, my bottom tooth (#24 or 25) had been cracked and half of it was missing. I was slightly self-conscious about my smile but knew that these deficiencies weren't readily apparent to most people, which is why I dragged my feet on fixing them. Dr. Chen spent extraordinary time explaining and working on my teeth. His work is meticulous. He has a very reassuring presence. His demeanor is gentle and kind. *Their new office is right in the corner of the plaza attached to CVS* I'm gonna have to agree with every single one of these reviews. I've been a patient of Dr. Chen's for about 6 years now. To be honest, I used to hate going to the dentist with a passion. My mom recommended Dr. Chen to me and now I don't dread my dental visits. He's really patient and will take the time to answer all my questions, etc. What this office lacks in the latest and greatest high tech equipment they make up in experience, genuine interest and care. Short story: I had one of my fillings fall about before, and consulted with another dentist with fancy high tech x-ray machines where you just stand there and this machine moves around your head to take the x-rays. This dentist actually recommend that I get a root canal to remove this tooth. Not being comfortable with that, I went to Dr. Chen who said he'd try to just give me a crown on that molar, and if that fails then we'd have to go the root canal way.That tooth has not bothered me one bit since having the crown put on. Since Dr. Julia has come back, she's been the one taking care of me most of the time. Like her dad, she's very patient and attentive. The front office receptionist Autumn is great also. Always really flexible and understanding if I'm late for my appointment. Just overall and great practice. I plan to be their patient till my very last tooth falls out. read more

I used to be afraid of going to the dentist but then my boyfriend brought me here and I no longer need his supportive company for dental visits! Both Drs. Chen are so genuinely caring and they always remember the little details about their patients. I've had really awful dentist experiences (like a half-filled filling and a too-filled filling) but since coming here, I have finally found not just one, but two dentists that get everything right and make the entire visit so pleasant! read more

Really great dentist! I tend to ask a lot of questions when I don't understand something and Dr. Chen totally went over all everything with me. He answered all my questions to a T and even drew me a diagram to make it easier to understand :) My first visit, I got a regular checkup including xrays then got my teeth cleaned, they were so shiny after! Dr Chen even gave me a cup of hot tea as I was waiting! The second visit I had fillings over my teeth where my gum line was receding (causing me a lot of pain) and it has totally minimized the sensitivity I was experiencing. Anyways, I didn't realize they don't take credit and I didn't have any cash and they totally said I could pay next time!!! How nice is that?? I totally ran home and wrote a check cus I felt so bad, but I mean, nice or what? I have an appt next week and I totally look forward to it :) Btw, all the staff here is super friendly! read more

Ok. I don't know why everybody is giving Dr. Chen a good review. I had my braces here. Every time I come here I need to wait for him at least an hour from my appointment time. Honestly, if you have a appointment with him, make sure you are free the rest of the day, because you don't know how long he will keep you on wait. Further, the way he treats me is really violent. The corner of my mouth and my lips were injury every time after changing my wire because he was tearing my mouth too much. I can't even fully open my mouth to eat because that hurts. read more

I got recommended to this office by a close friend, I wasn't expecting much since most dental offices are just in for the money NOT for the caring of the patients and solving the problem, but once I got procedure done I was AMAZED! Really kind people, they even offered me tea while I waited for Dr. Julia and Dr. Chen, once inside the office they treated me like family not as a patient I felt so welcome like if I was just at home! They also have friendly staff and very knowledgeable of their professional skills, so overall it was an AMAZING experience can't wait to go back every 6 months for my check up! As always, excellent services. Autumn, the receptionist, was courteous and informative, the office was very clean, and the atmosphere was comfortable. Dr. Chen was very gentle and professional, he and his assistant made me feel at ease. I went in with a toothache/chipped tooth, and it turned out that I needed to have the wisdom tooth removed. The extraction, to my surprise, was quick and painless, there were barely any bleeding. I was able to undergo the procedure at 3pm and still attend a dinner party at 6pm. No pain reliever or antibiotics were necessary. Amazing! Dr. Chen is absolutely the best dentist I have ever had. read more

Dr Stephen Chen and Dr Julia Chen are what most if not all doctors should be. Both dentist are extremely understanding, patient and they genuinely care about their patients, never feel rush. I wish every doctor I encounter can be like Dr Stephen Chen and Dr Julia Chen. While the wait time might be long, they try to accommodate to every patients needs and concern.
