When I asked for an explanation of the financial charges with insurance, I was treated rudely instead of getting a professional explanation of the charges. They attempted to get me to pay more by having duplicate charges of a consult fee in my financial arrangement. The clinical care is excellent, but dealing with the front desk makes this practice not worth it.

He recommended that my sister have an tooth removed and I encouraged her to get a second opinion. When she did, the said she needed crown. I am concerned about the quality of care he provides for people that don't know about dentistry.

So I need to share my experience with this office. I love this place!!! All the staff is very nice and courteous and Dr Privett is the greatest. I have been coming here for well over 15 years and will not go any where else. In fact I drive close to 3 hrs just to go to this office!!! They do a great job with routine check ups and they always fit me when I have had passed emergencies. Pay no attention to the low ratings on yelp, these people are ridiculous. You need to know someone that goes there for a referral if you are a new patient, but that is ok. Find someone that is already a patient here and get a referral, this place is good!!!

Yes, I judge a place on how clean the bathrooms are kept. Additionally, each cleaning station has their own TV with cable and remote control (awesome), and x-ray machine that shows up on the tv monitor instead of having to do traditional x-ray films. High tech equipment and gadgets impress me. The office staff is very thorough and cheery. Every visit has been pleasant and organized. The staff is very well-trained, well-mannered, and extremely efficient. I had my teeth cleaned in just 20 minutes during my last visit. It is almost as if the office is a well-oiled machine. Additionally, Dr. Privett is very understanding towards poor graduate students, and he makes sure that I'm able to afford my dental work. He could have charged me out the wazoo for a filling, but he didn't. Instead he made it graduate student affordable.

Well, I listened to my wife (which you should always do anyway) and Dr. K has been absolutely fantastic beyond words! She is always very patient, asks questions, and is truly concerned for my well being. I'm now in my 40s and my teeth and gums are sensitive but she has found ways to make them better and not just by redoing fillings but by other non-invasive solutions. I hate going to the dentist because I have a track record of suffering through several cavities since I was a kid but she really has made it a much better experience overall. I should also mention her staff are very friendly and my cleanings go well every time. We have been so pleased with her that we started taking our two boys here as well. They used to go to Brazos Valley Pediatric Dentistry which has some great dentists there but others not so great, so it was hit or miss.
