I usually only rate food establishments on yelp but I came across cross the rating for my dentist…read moreand was quite disappointed at the low average rating. So I need to share my experience with this office. I love this place!!! All the staff is very nice and courteous and Dr Privett is the greatest. I have been coming here for well over 15 years and will not go any where else. In fact I drive close to 3 hrs just to go to this office!!! They do a great job with routine check ups and they always fit me when I have had passed emergencies. Pay no attention to the low ratings on yelp, these people are ridiculous. You need to know someone that goes there for a referral if you are a new patient, but that is ok. Find someone that is already a patient here and get a referral, this place is good!!!

Can anyone say that they love their dentist? I do love mine, his staff, and his office. The…read moreoffice is pretty new, beautifully decorated, and you should see the bathrooms. Yes, I judge a place on how clean the bathrooms are kept. Additionally, each cleaning station has their own TV with cable and remote control (awesome), and x-ray machine that shows up on the tv monitor instead of having to do traditional x-ray films. High tech equipment and gadgets impress me. The office staff is very thorough and cheery. Every visit has been pleasant and organized. The staff is very well-trained, well-mannered, and extremely efficient. I had my teeth cleaned in just 20 minutes during my last visit. It is almost as if the office is a well-oiled machine. Additionally, Dr. Privett is very understanding towards poor graduate students, and he makes sure that I'm able to afford my dental work. He could have charged me out the wazoo for a filling, but he didn't. Instead he made it graduate student affordable.

JACKPOT! It's like striking gold and filling your Halloween bag with the best treats!…read more (This is an obviously inappropriate analogy for a review of a dental office.) I am 69 years-old and have been to innumerable professional entities over the course of my life. Cashion Dental is far and above the most remarkable experience I have ever had. I am a true weenie and do not like pain or discomfort; nor do I care for roughness or poor attitudes. You won't receive anything negative from the team at Cashion Dental. From the moment you walk in the door as a new patient, you are welcomed and shown kindness. Every aspect of this operation reflects the latest technology in a pristine atmosphere of stellar quality. Procedures and costs are thoroughly explained, and questions are patiently answered. I was immediately at ease. I left aglow. Dr. Cashion is a gentleman and a gentle-man. He is intelligent, experienced, skilled, and honorable. You will not find a better dentist! His staff is knowledgeable, attentive, personable, adept, and professional. Cashion Dental is a one-stop oasis. You will walk out a better person, mentally and physically. They are the real deal! Texas A&M University is the number one public university in the United States. Why not also take advantage of another nonpareil establishment in our area and treat yourself to the number one (literally the "Best of the Brazos Valley" for ten years!) dental operation? You will be blessed and abundantly pleased.

Dr. Cashion is great - great advice, and great dentistry. Super staff, also!…read moreHighly recommend!

At 8:30 the day of the appointment the dentist was over an hour late, with no explanation given, and never spent more than five minutes with me as he bounced back and forth to other patients with later appointments. They charged for nitrous on the chipped tooth, which wasn't used, and a second consultation when there was only a single visit. After all of this, the bill was sent to insurance where it was charged in-network and we were notified by insurance that our responsibilities were fulfilled. Fast-forward a year and six days later, I receive a bill in the mail saying that if not paid the balance on my account will go to collections and Robert Lasell's office charged each item as non-network, despite insurance saying otherwise. This week I have placed over a hundred calls to the office, multiple attempts to see them in person during business hours where the door was locked and nobody would answer, and have sent dozens of emails. Through this entire ordeal, their billing manager is unreachable by any of their own staff to discuss these discrepancies or schedule an appointment to meet, and the one lone worker has no understanding of even basic billing. If you've always wanted to see a train-wreck, there is no staff more qualified than Robert Lasell. But as for dentistry, I would rather pay out of pocket anywhere else than to deal with them again.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. The dentist messed up my teeth so badly and only spent a couple…read moreof minutes cleaning. Because of his treatment, one of the fillings he did fell out a a week later since it was done so thinly, and the other he shaved down the wall of my tooth so thinly (like it was so thin that it was sharp) that my actual tooth chipped a few days after the visit. I went back to this company after having a wonderful experience with their previous dentist, but to my surprise the old dentist sold the practice to a new person. This new person seemed fine, and everything seemed normal until he started his cleaning and it was so fast I didn't even know it was a cleaning. Then he proceeds to tell me that I have 2 cavaties. That is fine and he let me know the course of treatment in which he seemed like he wanted to prove to me I had cavaties which I found odd because I totally believed him and was totally on board. He then to prove I had cavaties, took pic of the teeth using a special device. Once again, I believed him without the pics and also have no idea what a cavity looks like in the first place. I come to find out that he charges for that imaging, which is why I think he did it (he did not ask me if I wanted this service and it is not covered by my insurance apparently.) Felt scammy and very uncomfortable. The absolute worst part though is that I actually lost part of my real healthy tooth due to this visit. He filled 2 cavaties and a small chip in my front tooth. I don't know if he was just trying to save money or what, but he barely filled the teeth that he treated for cavaties. As you can tell by now, my teeth aren't great so I have had many fillings in my life and no dentist has ever used so little filling. The part of healthy tooth I lost was the wall of the tooth he had to drill super far into. He barely filled it and left the wall super thin and sharp and brittle feeling. Turns out it was brittle because while eating spaghetti, the wall of my tooth broke off. The chipped front tooth filling also feel out a few days later. I ran my tongue over my tooth and the filling popped right out. But before even leaving the dental office I realized I couldn't close my mouth all the way. I felt a bump on the back of the tooth next to my front one that got the filling. When he asked if there was anything else he could do while literally being halfway out the door, I told him I think there was filling on the back of my other tooth. With a look of slight exasperation, he sat back down and checked it out. He filed it down and said, great, and left the room and I was directed to the front desk. After getting home and spending some time with my new teeth, the thinness of the teeth/fillings set in but he had said that everything looked good after finishing up with removing the bump from my other tooth, so I thought he is the professional and moved on. Anyways, I was scheduled to move cities a few days later so I finished packing and moved. Then after all of the stuff happened with my teeth pieces falling out of my mouth, I contacted my insurance to see if I could potentially get reimbursed for the fillings so that I could afford to get the damage fixed, but the dentist has denied refunds and says that I have to come back to their office and that if he sees that he is at fault he will fix them for free but if he seems himself not at fault I will have to pay for them to get fixed. I have said repeatedly I don't feel comfortable coming back because I had such a negative experience and don't trust him as a dentist, as well as the potential of him deeming it as my fault, as well as I would have to pay and take more time off work to travel back to see him. They keep saying it is our word against yours as justification for not reimbursing me and having me come back in and drop my claim as well which feels very manipulative. Anyways, please, please, please, do not go to this dentist and spread the word to not as well! A lot of the great reviews are about the old dentist that used to own the practice.
